10.0 Excellent
Pros: Warm home feeling
Cons: All was great!
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: Leaking pipes, pictures don't match sleeping rooms. Price doesn't match with booking.com. Staff said that booking.com always has wrong information about the hostel. Very unpleasant stay because the bunk beds didn't have enough space between the pavement and the bed.
7.1 Good
Pros: Everything is very basic but it's ok. It feels a little bit like home.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff and the facilities
Cons: My bunk bed was wobbly and not comfortable . Otherwise I enjoyed my two says there. Merci.
6.3 Good
Pros: Room was clean - staff was polite and friendly
Cons: Chime always ringing -day and night as soon as someone would walk thru the door. Apparently staff had forgotten to shut it off when leaving à 21:00 - Also rang when staff came in at 07:00 Soundproofing is poor and some guests made a lot of noise (would go out to smoke (chimes) and forget keys and knock continuously on windows until a guest would open at 23:00 (chimes again...)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Maxime has been a warm and helpful host. Perfect location with balconies overlooking the lake. Modern and squeaky clean rooms. Possibility to do your own cooking. Pre-prepared meals are reasonably priced and very tasty. NB: May not be right for people who do not want to do anything themselves during their holiday.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at Le Perchoir after a nice hike. The owner is very friendly and helpful and unlike most other places we stayed in Quebec, his English was good. He gave us n amazing room with a beautiful porch facing the lake. The kitchen and the self serve system for breakfast was good too. There was milk, egg, ham, cheese, croissants, bagels, coffee, tea and fruit available and the kitchen was open at all times. We loved our stay there and are looking forward to going back perhaps in winter!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful and friendly hosts. Nicely furnished room. Outstanding view from the balcony. Very Good Bistro near by.
Cons: bigger choice at the breakfast would be nice
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The photos look exactly as it is. Just great ! Very cosy, amazing view in the lake. It’s modern and comfortable! Open kitchen where you can take your breakfast whenever you want... and cook your own lunch or diner. The owners are very helpful and really really nice. I would come back anytime another time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view! The fact we felt at home having everything on hand. We were able to buy some homemade food, it was very convenient as we did not want to take the car to go to the grocery. And the staff obviously :)
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great!! From the room to the breakfast and our host!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful place genuinely perched above the fjord with great views from our large and comfortable room and the dining area. You make your own breakfast from a good range of good ingredients provided and there is tea and coffee available at any time.
Cons: It is important to note that the bistro which used to be on the premises no longer exists (it apparently closed a year ago) and the nearest restaurant is about thirty minutes drive away. That's no problem as there are very good facilities to cook your own meal (a full kitchen with oil, butter, spices etc provided) if you do your shopping (or stop for your meal) on the way. Alternatively there is a small range of prepared dishes available to buy at very reasonable prices to cook yourself or have prepared for you.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff Good view The place is new and feels luxurious
Cons: Cooking is not an option

6.7 Good
Pros: Fantastic location and view
Cons: Staff not so friendly / customer oriented when compared to other locations, especially at the reception
7.9 Good
Pros: The location is absolutely amazing. The view from the room over the river is as stunning as the view from the restaurant or the swimming pool. The food at the restaurant for diner or for breakfast is very good and the staff from there is very welcoming.
Cons: The staff at the reception is not very pleasant even if he’s polite tho. You have to pay extra to access to the swimming pool and the sauna. You’d also have to pay extra to use the billard board and the other games. Strange and unpleasant for a 4 stars hotel. Also, the WiFi is not available in the rooms.
6.3 Good
Pros: The place is superb! The view of the fjord is unique. The room is clean
Cons: Breathe only is necessary because you ll pay every thing. The staff is not very friendly, the restaurant nothing special and if spend the night you ll have to take dinner there. Room without fridge
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The position is wonderful and we enjoyed it. We stayed in a chalet, they are small but nice with a nice view
Cons: I think 4 stars seems too much considering the accommodation and the services. The restaurant was very bad for dinner in terms of menu and quality
6.3 Good
Pros: The spectacular view of the fjord
Cons: The rough road into the hotel plus no dry towels available at the pool and no service.
7.1 Good
Pros: Nice views, nice domain, nice activities, impressive views
Cons: Management of meals and of access to food: while the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, no fridge, no information on places where we go have got some food, not possible to obtain to eat at certain hours. Moreover, no hard eggs at breakfast "because they were not enough eggs for the upcoming days."
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Awesome location with a terrific view
Cons: Okay breakfast, dim room and very hard mattress. Expensive for what you get (besides location)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Overall, I felt like it was a reasonable value, and a memorable experience. I wish we had been able to do two nights, right than just one, there. - It has stunning views - Beautiful shared spaces in the lodges. - Relatively inexpensive for the amazing views it provided (the views felt like, say, Ventana in Big Sur, at a small fraction of the price...our mediocre room was way less than one would normally get for the price though)
Cons: Things we didn’t love about it: - Our room door had a huge gap along its edge (and a crummy doorknob with no deadbolt, which I wouldn’t have liked if traveling alone). We had little privacy or sound protection from the shared spaces in our lodge. That would be so easy to fix, and it is just negligent to not do so. - Our room had no view, and little windows. - Our room seemed unfinished inside (not in a charming log cabin way, but in a slapped some wood from Home Depot up on the wall and left it kind of way; the bathroom, in contrast, was very finished and nice, with more of a log cabin aesthetic) - Breakfast was adequate, but could have been so much better with little more in their part (ie pancakes Or something). I would rather pay a few dollars more and have it provide a few more options. - there are no food options there except for the restaurant, which other reviewers had mixed feelings about (we only at breakfast there). A stay of more than one or two nights without a kitchen could be frustrating. - the lodge is geograohically isolated (which is part of what is nice about it). The drive there was okay in the summer...although I bet some city folk probably freak about about how isolated it is, lol. But in winter or in mud season, the drive seems like it would definitely require AWD. - you basically have to drive back to the main lodge at night for dinner, and it is still a long-ish walk during the day. I would still stay there again for a night or two. I just find that having expectations in order from reviews are helpful To enjoying a travel experience, especially for one as unique as this one. I found it unusually difficult to figure out the mixed reviews in this place before we went there, and now I better understand them.
