The staff, room and dinning were excellent. Very unique decor, and the setting was very nice. Kind of far out of town if you do not have personal transportation; but, this did make for a quiet stay.
The decor, service and location of the hotel were all excellent. The swimming pool was a good size and kept very clean.Rooms were cleaned and fresh towels were provided on a daily basis.
The hotel is well designed around the swimming pool and dining room. Food was good and staff wanted to please.
We loved the relaxed atmosphere and the beautiful swimming pool especially the sun until late on the pool area. Just one complaint I asked for the hotel room to be locked as the housekeeper was leaving the patio door unlocked after she had cleaned. This happened for the three days we stayed.
the rooms are all groundfloor and lie in a circle around a courtyard containing a pond and the pool area; parking places motel-style
Peaceful poolside area. Good value breakfast. We specifically booked this hotel because website showed the location to be within 1 Km of town centre. The reality is a 2.5km distance walk into town!!. Hotel booked a taxi for us one evening and Taxi did not show so had to walk back to hotel along dark roads. The shower facilities in the room were not what would have expected for 3star hotel.
Room design and furniture, cleanness, central location and close to the sea and the downtown, easy to park the car Breakfast was really good, however more food variety should be provided to guests; wi-fi connection not fully supported, electronic key not working well
Very central location, next to the town center and beaches. The 2-room apartment was small and not comfortable for a family. There was no closed cupboard, just a few shelves. We could not empty all suitcases, no place to put clothes. Small swimming pool. We could eat on the terrace, but if the weather was bad, the table inside was not suitable and only two chairs available.
Nice appartment, very helpful staff.
rooms location and pleasant staff
The pool area is really nice. The red lights in the hallway are very tacky and make it look cheap
Bon rapport quality prix. good design. beautiful pool Noisy machine at night
Location and style of the rooms. However they are pitched at premium rates which the hotel isn'T. At most 3 star. We had a problem with the quality of the swimming pool water which took them 2 days to fix.
The design concept, location, friendliness of management Wifi did not work in the rooms
The location close to multiple restaurants, the beach and the staff. They were always looking for our comfort and even took care of tour booking. Accessibility to the second floor is quite difficult. The stairs are very narrow. Make sure you book a room for the first floor.
Owners were always there and very friendly and helpfull. The hotel is very quiet and clean The rooms were a bit small as well as the pool, but still convenient to have a long weekend stay as we did. I will recommend this hotel overall.
Private patio. Comfortable beds. Excellent shower facility. Friendly staff. Proximity to town. Lack of space for baggage
Very kind and helpful staff, very beautiful and clean setting, nice room. There is no bar for drinks in the evening, no restaurant, no mini-bar.
well situated-short walk to the main town.very peaceful & relaxing.plenyy of parking.lovely breakfast by the pool. warm pre-pool shower, good sized pool we would have liked a fridge in the room to keep own supplies cool .expensive to buy cold drinks at the pool side.but not really a huge problem. no english channels on the TV.
Nice rooms for families, spa/oasis style place away from the fun, but crazy action in the town, yet close enough to easily walk. Lovely pool, clean room, with patio, AC (essential in summer as mossies are on the loose). We wished we had stayed longer.
lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff, very clean rooms, quiet, relaxing, good breakfast... One of the best hotels I've been!
The hotel was very clean, with good design and the staff were very polite and helpful. The Hotel was approx. 10 minute walk from the beach. Overall an excellent stay.
I liked very much the pool area and the nice rooms
Friendly hotel, good location on edge of town, breakfast good value. No pool towels.
The room design and the overall design of the hotel. The staff was also very helpful. :)
Lovely place - very expensive considering it was 'off-season' and some of the amenities weren't open.
swimming pool, horse riding restaurant and breakfast very expensive
We can not get dinner in the hotel. Even more, we can not get a glass of beer at 21.30 - they have closed entertainment at swimming pool. You can stay at your hotel room (small house), but aircondition does not work. Next day they gave as a breakfast for free but this is not what we need travelling around Provence and coming far from Slovenia
Lovely location, in the middle of little lakes with birds and all kinds of animals. Absolutely quiet. The restaurant is excellent.
The location and the landscape were excellent. The setting and layout of the resort was also good but did not necessarily separate the business clients from holidayers. Breakfast was poor, there was one staff trying to do everything. During our stay there was also a business meeting which created a lot of discomfort. The business meeting was inevitably noisy with having their small group discussions by the pool while we were trying to relax. The group members had no respect for people having holidays talking loudly at 3.00am after their team building (?) events.
Good food if limited choice and interesting rooms no
Ideally situated for access to the nature, excellent food and very comfortable accommodation in the Cabane de Gardian.
big size of TV Thi is definitely not a 4 stars hotel! Poor cleaning service, some of the rooms are not cleaned before 3 pm. The lagune behind the room smelled incredibly. Towels to the swimming pool are lent only on a deposit of 40 €! So guests use their own and let it on a chair as a reservation all the day. So when you come to the swimming pool, all chairs are "occupied" even there is nearly no one.
The car could be parked very close to the room The room was cool (outside was hot!)
the camarque area is well known for its wildlife ,and the position of this hotel is rather good the room facility is old and rather small
Les Rizieres has a very nice position, just 3 Km from Les Saintes Maries de la Mer, and seems to be built on a Camargueise lagoon Breakfast, at 8 euro per person, is quite expensive, and its quality is not proportional. Mosquitoes are really killing you, but this is Camargue...
It was quiet, away from the road and as it was single storey we didn't have neighbours above/below disturbing us. No shower curtain. The bathroom looked rather in need of refurbishment and the room was lacking natural light.
A wonderful wildlife setting in the carmargue close to the beach and to the small town of stes maries de la mer.
beautiful hotel in a beautiful environment.
The situation outside the town. The quiet, the petit dejeuner. the bed. I would have preferred a shower because I have a painful shoulder which makes it difficult to climb out of the bath.
Friendly service, nice surroundings, beautiful nature around, good breakfast (fresh bread, many varieties), parking near the room. Café au lait from an automatic machine.
Location to the town. Nice and quiet. Friendly atmosphere None
The staff were very welcoming, and the rooms were exactly as needed. no
Very relaxing ambience, comfortable, staff very friendly, food excellent. Have stayed before and will again. One very young waitress was not au fait with the dinner menu or winelist, but it was not a major problem. The maitre d' took over and was very helpful.
Nice (warm!) swimming pool, nice room with lovely terrace Breakfast too expensive (but you can go to the city center, where you can find much cheaper breakfasts), city center at 15 minutes walk (unfortunately via a busy road, but for the rest this was very doable)
excellent restaurant lots of flies around. wardrobe and safes were broken. much noise from the swimming pool till late. old facilities in bathroom
Staff kindness Room too expensive
the room was large with a private terrace, the pool area was lovely and the hotel is situated in lovely gardens - the hotel closes at 11.00pm so you have to make arrangements to get back in if you wish to stay out later - the hotel is a good 20 mins walk into the little town so if you want to eat out of the hotel it is not very convenient the shower was hand held - the AC did not work very well - the breakfast is not good value for money
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was perfect for our needs, though the bed was not the most comfortable. Very good food in the restaurant. The breakfast was very expensive at 15 euros per person. There was some confusion over whether we had requested it and we were made to feel at fault when we did not want it.
Large confortable room. Exellent ambiance.
Nice room. Nice restaurant with good service and food. Too much mosquitoes outdoor in the evening.
A great location for horse and nature lovers. Romantic setting. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lots of flies in the area. Bring repellant and keep screen door closed and you'll be fine.
Good central position. Public parking close by was totally adequate. Good breakfast. Lots of restaurants within easy walking. Quiet too. Room small by adequate.
Location is central, easy access to town, restaurants, port, beach. Paint falling off walls in hall and in room, poor noise insulation. Tolerable for just an overnight stay but not in line with price of the room.
It's location near to the seafront - otherwise there is very little to like about the place. The deal with Booking.com included breakfast but I had to pay extra when I arrived and there was no such thing as a 'full English breakfast' as stated on the Booking.com confirmation. I was not given any opportunity for recourse on this with the hotel owner. The 'balcony' was street level and people walked straight past one's balcony and always looked in - there was no privacy at all and 'balcony' to most people would indicate an upper floor where there is a view and privacy. The view I had was of the pavement, the road and cars parked opposite on a narrow street. The was just a small patch of sky to be seen from the balcony provided one stretched one's neck to find it.
Guest reviews about this hotel are mostly very accurate. This is a 2 star hotel however so one shouldn't expect 5 star accommodation. We therefore find one or two comments on this site inappropriate. The very friendly staff (literally all of them) made our stay a pleasant one. Breakfast is very French but generous and good quality. Free WiFi in room. Quiet location, close to the sea front. 1. The room smelled slightly damp (insufficient ventilation in the bathroom) but that was a minor issue. 2. When returning to hotel in the evening, it was impossible to find light switch in corridor. Had to use light of mobile phone to find room.
The location is really good!
it was central, staff friendly and helpful no
The area and the town. No
Location very good, easy to find. As there was no hotel car park I would recommend booking a garage as we did otherwise one would have difficulty finding a park at the height of the season. Our tarrif included breakfast which was okay and value for money but it got a bit boring after five days. There was no air conditioning and it was very hot at night and we had trouble with mosquitos. Our room had an outdoor terrace which was good but it needed a thorough sweeping. Our daughter's room did not have a terrace and she and her partner found the room very hot at night in July.
The position of the hotel was excellent with garage parking available just around the corner. The beach and a large array of shops and restaurants were all but a short stroll away, all of which made for an enjoyable stay in a lovely area of France. Our room was on the small side and in future I would ask in advance for a larger one. The area set aside for a pretty bland breakfast was also a bit cramped but once you get to know the ropes just take the tray out on to the front terrace.
Loved the location and ease of coming and going to the hotel. Also, they provided us with a private parking space for a very low price. Due to the festivities while we were there, it was a bit noisy at times, but I do not blame the hotel for that. However, there were ants in our room on the first floor.
Beautiful location, excellent pool, outstanding cuisine, plus a pair of resident kingfishers, A great place to spend a birthday weekend.
The staff were extremly friendly and helpful
The pool area was beautiful, facing on to the lagoon. The beds were very comfy and the staff friendly and trained. We felt it did not justify the Relais Chateux Rating it displayed due to the food and wine being good but not worthy of the price. The currency rate cannot be blamed for it all! It would have been nice to have the small touches usually found in a luxury hotel, such as a thermos of iced water etc.
Lovely room, good staff, did it have a private beach?
In some ways its initial external appearance is deceptive and gives little clue to the standard and quality of what is on offer. The rooms are very comfortable, well appointed, and very well maintained, and the view over the lake is special, as is the whole of the pool area. The food is excellent and the service efficient and friendly. There were few guests in early November so we delighted in the peace of the hotel. In no way did service or standards diminish. We extended our 3 day stay to 7 days. We enjoyed a wonderful holiday. NA
Attentive staff. Relaxed friendly atmosphere. Desire to please Overly expensive
excellent camargue hotel - great views - great food - very friendly and helpful staff hotel rooms could use some refurbishing - internet access almost non-existent (which is more of a problem of the entire region)
An excellent relaxed small family hotel with first class restaurant.
Excellent restaurant as well
Everything! A wonderful place to stay with a great staff! Dinner was pricey, but it was worth it
closeness to beqch overpriced food - final bill incorrect tried to bill me fot two extra evening meals
It's a ok hotel. Expencive rooms, compared to other hotels we stayed in, in France.
The receptionist very helpful. Big clean room, comfortable bed, fridger. The rooms with seaview quiet at night. The hotel is to far from the centre and busstop.
Great location Alll A-Okay
Excellent situation on the pedestrian promenade - breakfast very good, all rooms with terrace and chairs. Lots of restaurants nearby and easy walk along promenade to harbour. Would visit again.
It was lovely. Thanks. No english speaking anyone!
Close to the ocean and a beautiful little village. the view. The Spa was nothing to us, the room was tacky and smoky.
the location and the waterview the cleaning in the rooms and bathroom could be better
Quite good facilities, late check out time. Quite a long process involved in actually obtaining articles to go swimming etc. Check in time could be earlier.
the beach ... this hôtel ...
View and access to the beach was marvelous and the restaurant terrace was gorgeous. Absolutely recommend taking your breakfast there. We were very pleased with all aspects of the hotel except the sanitation. It was impossible to regulate the hot - cold water. The route to walk to your room from the elevator was enormous.
Our stay at Mas De Calabrun made our adventure to thge Carmargue very special. The staff went out of their way to help and made us feel very welcome. We hope to return to the Carmargue region and would definately stay here again. Highly recommend the Mas De Calabrun.
Close to town but far enough that it was quiet. Receptionist spoke great English and was very friendly and helpful. Sheets were overly starched and really stiff. Large amount of bird poo at front door of room (said they were going to clean it up but didn't happen)
Very quiet - Newly renovated rooms - Very nice/landscaped park - Easy parking -Very friendly staff
My wife and I found that the Mas de Calabrun offered a more satisfying combination of creature comforts, good food and ambience in a rustic setting than we had dared to expect. We found the room rate very reasonable considering the amenities offered and compared to other properties I researched on the internet. My wife particularly liked the lavatory. We will happily recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a similar experience. Finding ourselves locked into the hotel (rather than locked out, as has happened other times elsewhere) late one night was disconcerting for the very few minutes needed to locate (very apologetic) staff to let us out!
Clean and reasonably comfortable overnight stay Mosquitos!
