Proximity to the beach all inclusive food and drink sky bar The initial room allocated was dirty - hairs and insects in both beds. Offered a much better room after this.
Overall our stay in the hotel was nice. For a 4 star hotel, the quality of food and drinks in the all inclusive system were poor. For a bit higher price there are better equiped 4 star hotels.
near the sea english not understood by staff food very bad staff behind food counters with long hair not covered fresh food pushed on top of old if not there as soon as doors open food not replaced finished.Coffee machines not working at all or only one drinks machines not working my partner was ill and i was shouted at for taking some bread and cheese to the room for him.the pool needs a good clean
Location on beach, value for money (all inclusive), size of room, balcony and view (if you are lucky enough to get a seaview room). The first room I was given was awful. It was below ground level and had a view of a wall and steps going up to the pool. It had no TV, phone, lamps, armchair and curtains didn't close properly. Also was infested with flies. Was told hotel was full and this was only room. After some persistent complaining, I was given another room as someone hadn't turned up. Management not very apologetic.
anything a varieted cuisine
the beautiful garden where i can see it from my room. Be carefull, there are rooms which are looking to the other side of the hotel which is not very attractive. Very rich breakfast, truly good not very clean rooms, not very friendly staff, the pool was very dirty and there is no parking. The hotel usualy works with groups from germany and everything is in German language
Nice hotel, very large rooms, very clean and nice garden where you can have a drink or just relax in the evening. The personell was not updated with my booking modification, which had been made 1 week before my arrival. I had to give them my printed booking modification in order to check with you.
Very clean, nice staff, excellent surrounding. It was hard to find the hotel's beach where they offer some discount and that beach was the worst in the resort. It's small and there are only rocks in the sea, no sand like the others. Therefore I recommend you not to use the hotel's beach.
OK breakfast. Too small a pool area and not enough sun for all the guests (most of the deck chairs where in the shade). Bed flees in our room. A bit run-down and not four-star worthy compared to the four-star hotel we stayed at in Obzor.
I liked being there. Except one fact; every time that I crossed the lobby, I expected someone to say; Good Morning etc to me at the desk. Sometimes I get that and sometimes not. That is something that belong to good service to notice a customer everytime she/he goes by. I liked that the hotel location is near to everything but still quiet place. Beautiful builging and rooms were nice.
Very nice hotel, great facilities like fitness, indoor pool and professional spa services. Compared to other so-called 5 star hotels around Varna, this was the only one that would resemble such a rating on an international scale. If you get one of the upper floor rooms you have an amazing unobstructed view via a full glass front on the ocean. Breakfast is quite diverse and plentiful. Includes indoor and outdoor parking facilities were helpful. The location is also great since it is close enough to the center so you can simply walk there, however it is not really in the middle of it so it is convenient to get there by car. The in-house dining options were very good (as to be expected), on top of it the prices were surprisingly reasonable. Internet was a plus as well, always workin and fast The quality of the service personnel was a bit sketchy. The level of English of most staff was very limited (to be fair, this is common around here) so interactions were kept to a minimum. Most staff was however friendly and helpful, while others gave the impression to be annoyed by our presence.
wonderful.......that is enough!
I had a very pleasant 6 day stay at your hotel... absolutely excellent until the last night of my stay ... a guest occupied the room adjacent and I could clearly hear the TV and conversation coming from there. as above .... did'nt like having to listen to the noise from next room..
The hotel enjoys a good central location near both The Sea Gardens and Varna centre, both a few minutes walk away. Room were unbelievably hot, air conditioning was poor and slept with the window open.
Everything! Excellant food in restaraunt. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location for the city( only 10 min walk to centre.) Definitely recommend and will visit again. Absolutely nothing!
the man who greeted us & helped us with the parking and the bags was a great intro to the fab service. Awesome views from our room over the city, very cheap hotel but felt like a luxury suite nothing
Location and room
I've tried all better hotels in Varna, but this one is the best. Sometimes stuff is not very smart. For example they offer can not help you regarding internet problems.
Nicely located size and smell of room / reception on first floor /
Perfect location, clean room and hotel, good internet connection, nice and professional staff
during my stay at splendid hotel i found the staff both pleasant and very helpful breakfast....it is not quite english style i would prefer to see my eggs being cooked in front of me not left on a hotplate but the locals seem to enjoy
charming hotel, nice location
Helpful and friendly staff
Location, clean room
Everything was fine with my 3-night stay at the Interhotel Cherno More, in Sept., 2010. I believe that the hotel is a good value for the money, and I would stay there again. My room was fine (large & clean), with a balcony, and great views of the city and sea. The bathroom was also large, and clean. The tv received a bunch of different English channels. The morning buffet was served in the restaurant on the top floor, with great views of the city. Also, there is a bar on the top floor that opens after 16:00, with live music after 23:00 (at least on weekends). The hotel has a great central location, near the end of the Pedestrian Zone, close to the Sea Garden. Everything is within walking distance, both in the city, & along the sea. A couple of things to be aware of: (1) When I checked in, the hotel expected immediate payment for the room, in order to get my passport back. Otherwise, they apparently hold onto it until payment is made. (For me it was not a problem. After I went up to my room and verified that it was okay, I went right back down to the reception, paid for the 3 nights for my room, and got my passport back.) (2) Despite the indications on this and other hotel-booking websites of "on-site" sauna, gym, massage, etc., these facilities are apparently not at the hotel itself. I was told that they were in a separate facility "next door", but did not verify this, nor check prices.
Only the situation is good. Staff was nice but it's not comfortable, too old...
Cental Horribel breakfast, staff and hotel is totally out og date.
Its location to every place - Beach, City cenrte shopping, Fantastic view of sea. To get all these in one is fantastic, and good value for money. NONE
We liked the Hospitality of all the staff The Buffet lunch/dinner is just not good enough for a 5 star Hotel, 3 star OK. it is also not hot enough!! The spa treatments were not good value for monies, as the people were very inexperienced!!
state-of-the art hotel. the bathroom was bigger than most regular hotel rooms. since it was out-of-season, the area was pretty deserted. but if you like holding hands with your partner and walking cold, windswept beaches, run, don't walk to this hotel in winter.
Beautiful rooms & pool, good value for money Not international Kempinski standard in terms of service, breakfast, restaurant etc.
the hotel is great...everything is new and shiny they accept only bulgarian money
We had to pay extra for the bathrobes!!! In a 5 stars hotel???!!!
Excellent friendly and helpful staff
The room was nice. The hotel is located in the more classy part of Golden Sands. The breakfast area is massive with hundreds of people eating breakfast. Since we were there after peak season I can not imagine during the season how much activity there would be. That is a bit much for me at 9:30am in the morning.
Everything. Great experience. No.
every thing in this hotel it was perfect
The entertaining team = young and lovely, the staff hotel = very kind, the food =very good and variety, the pool =clean The internal bars are only for smokers.
Big rooms, nice washrooms, nice view, parking Far from center, poor variety of food
a nice hotel, very good food, fruits looked a little bad, peaches and watermelon--bad bad. please repair the second elevator, the soccer field has no sand on it; the juices are all chemical, nothing natural; make the pool program longer to 20.00, the AC did not work in more rooms, you probably turned off the chiller to save electicity because it was september, bad ideea.
The room, the view, the food were great. They have serious problems with the elevators(only one was working, there was no AC in it, it was really slow), there are also problems with the stairs towards the beach (no light at night, some stairs need to be fixed etc). I would not recommend it for a longer stay, but for a couple of days it's fine.
The rooms were nice i thought the hotel was very noisy at night and the staff at times were unhelpful and rude.
*Excellent food / service / clean rooms / safe parking lot/ entertainment /pool/ position of the hotel/individual air conditioning in every room. Super entertainment Team (Krassi/Dani/Chefo)...If your goal is relaxation than this is the best Hotel to be in Golden Sands Let's say that the local drinks (soft and anything beside the beer) are not that on Romanian taste....other people seemed to enjoy it very much....
Friendly staff, clean, excellent food, good value for money, lovely pools. Would have liked a facility on each floor to get a drink as there were signs showing that food and drink had not to be taken out of the lounge area up the stairs and we respected this, but would have liked a hot drink in our room.
Good food and clean rooms. There was something wrong with the elevator from time to time.. My room was at the 7th floor..
the food was excellent, wide variety, the room was huge, we had 2 bathrooms, and it was kept very clean. the animation team was energetic and fun, enjoyed the karaoke! hotel is very near the shops, just have to go down 88 steps! the lift kept breaking down and we were on the 7th floor.
We were welcomed by friendly staff and checked in without any problems. It was peaceful, relaxing and very clean with a sea view.
friendliness of staff; helpful staff; cleanliness; excellent sea front location; good air conditioning; quiet even though it is on a main road no tea & coffee facilities in the room but there is an excellent lobby bar where you can buy drinks.
Location to beach and amenities excellent. Staff very friendly - Hotel lent us beach towels at no cost or even a deposit.
Wonderful views over the Black Sea and the beach from the room. Free internet use. Bright breakfast room with one of the better breakfast offerings we've seen in Bulgaria. There could be more seating available in the breakfast room as it was close to full on each morning of our stay, despite breakfasting at different times. Some of the staff were cordial, but not overly friendly. (Others were very welcoming and helpful.)
Fine hotel, nice and friendly staff.
Excellent breakfast quality and staff service The AC system was prematurely turned off, despite warm outside temperatures. The room was very hot. In order to maintain reasonable room temperature, the windows had to remain opening, which allowed outside noise and insects to enter during the night. Desk clerk argued that the temperature was "just fine" for her, but, of course, the AC was on in the main floor lobby.
The Spa facilities are really nice. The cleaning services were rather superficial.
Friendly staff. Very good location. Our room was too close to the elevators and there was too much noise coming from them. There was no internet across the whole hotel, only around the reception area. There were no black out curtains in all rooms, which made it difficult to sleep in the morning because of the bright light.
The location is close to the beach, the hotel is large and clean, in the rooms and also the reception/lobby/entertainment center. They have wireless internet, but only at the reception and lobby, and the parking is free. The pool is OK, and they also have a park inside. Daily entertainment programs are organized at the pool and at the restaurant. The food wasn't extraordinary, and the full board (with the lunch at the plate) wasn't a good ideea. Juices from breakfast are of poor quality, only water is drinkable. You must pay for drinks in the evening. Also you have to pay for towel and mattress at the pool. The hotel hardly qualifies for a 4 stars.
The receptionists were quite helpful and service-minded. A room for 18 euros per night is a good deal, thanks to the low-season. I did not like the restaurant maintenance. The glasses at the breakfast buffet were full of stains and the salt shakers were wet objecting the free flow of salt.
The stuff was very frendly. I like most the big balcony, the free parking, the bathroom was clean. Romanian TV channel. The food was OK (especially the dinner' soup). Nice pool and garden (if you have kids, otherwise why you go to the see to stay in the pool:)? The TV chanells transmission quite poor. Lunch was a bit poor. They do not accept Euros so fix rate increased about 10% room price so from 46E => 51E (still OK) for a 4* with 3 meals. I stood in Brussels for 125E in a 4* (actally 2*).
The hotel interior design, cleanliness of the rooms and public areas. The staff can improve their skills and language (english), more lounge chairs by the pool where needed.
Made to feel very welcome - all the staff were friendly and spoke english very well.
location and comfort swiming pool to small comparing to the capacity of the hotel
Good location and nice attitude of the hotel staff. Execellent breakfast and nice pool (indoor and outdoor pool)
all the staff were very helpful and friendly, the public areas and pool area were kept very clean and tidy at all times. In hotel prices were very reasonable for a 4star . at the time we stayed there were lots of young children there and they did crowd the pool.
Spa Dirty carpet in my room
Nice new rooms with quality close to a 5* hotel. Small children chairs in restaurant. Underground parking. The indoor pool with warm water was very appreciated by our daughter. Diversify a little more the food.
only complaint would be about the breakfast, not a very good selection, but in saying that everything else about the hotel was excellent
spa, pool, sauna, fitness pool could be bigger
the room was spacious and clean and I've appreciated the pool there were sparely chaise longues by the pool, insufficient
A very relaxing holiday. Bed a bit uncomfortable.
position and was difficulte to find the hotel
really good hotel for the money spent. i would recommend it for sure. They really have a good breakfast.
Good place for relax. Hotel is very clean and personel is very kind. Near to the Black Sea and not far from Varna and Golden Sands (good bus connection). Breakfasts were good but they could be little better.
good value for money, spacius & clean room, nice furnished
The buffet breakfast was superb, the staff were helpful and friendly and the rooms spacious, modern and clean. The pool area was also excellent.
We never tire of this hotel, hen we are not staying here we visit for afternoon tea, it's a lovely place with professional, switched on staff. Even though we have a house in Bulgaria we still try to stay here at least one night just for the pleasure of it, guarded car park. Same as before, hotel perfect, pavements on the approach road are dreadful.
I travel extensively to many places throughout the world and this is hotel definately provides the best service I have ever experienced, at first it is a little overwhelming because we are not use to such formality here in Australia but it does not take long to get use to being treated like royalty. The quality and quantity of the food is also excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel to those who are extremely particular about service and to those who have a special occassion and want to experience the VIP treatment. would be great if tea and coffee making facilities were available in the room and also a morning newspaper would be nice.
Beautifully furnished and comfortable, staff very attentive, restaurant wonderful, smack in middle of town parking a bit hit and miss,
The hotel was beautiful - very grand. The free upgrade was also a bonus!
Good central location, good rooms, however it was not possible to sleep with the windows open due to the noise outside. The air con was very effective if a bit noisy. Most of the staff were very helpful. Some of the staff were more willing to help than others, one of the wine waiters was very helpful and gave good local knowledge of the wines and cheeses of the area, however the next evening the other chap obviously couldn't be bothered with us.
service and cleanliness, also the breakfast
Excellent hotel in the middle of Varna, close to shopping, pedestrian zone, very good for business. An 'old world' atmosphere, but in the best possible way. Excellent, fast and free internet connection, nice big rooms, a-la-cart breakfast, very very reasonable prices. Thoroughly recommended. Not applicable.
A beautifully done hotel with everything new, but in a very traditional style. Location ideal for walking around Varna sea front and main shopping areas Only very small problem was finding the entrance to the car park as many of the small streets around it have been closed or made into one way.
Maybe the best hotel in Eastern Europe and one of the best in Europe. HUGE rooms, excellent service, best location, free parking and wireless and wired internet, a great cafe. What else missing? Nothing really.
We are Korean couple exploring 5 star hotels in Eastern Europe. Great Location if you want to explore the central area of Varna. Close to the Roman bath and the church. luxurious room with superb interiors from the bed to the bathroom. good 5 star rooms. You have to take up the stairs in order to come up to the lobby. We had to pull up our baby stroller every time.
Quiet location, very friendly bar staff and receptionist especially Tony the barman.
the staff breakfast.......too poor..it was not a open buffet like on site(2 slices of ham,2 of cheese and that,s all)
Nothing especially, as compared with the expecations I had when I was choosing a 4 stars hotel. Maybe the swimming pool... and the nice restaurant in the backyard Lack of professionalism and customer oriented attitude from the staff side. The light system was broken in my room on the day I enterd the hotel, and a nice guy from he staff fixed it in front of my eyes by making a short-circuit in the card-enabled light device. The parking lot is ridiculously underdimenssioned as compared with the hotel capacity, and even you are obliged to pay for car parking, you may face the situation to look at your blocked car (by cars of the other tourists), if you had the "chance" to be one of the first visitors in the series. The competency of the staff in solving this ridicoulous situation was null. The breakfast is poor in alternatives and the food is not always fresh. For a cup of coffee or milk you have to wait a too long time in a queue for taking advantage of the sole coffee maker machine having only three choices: a so called "coffee" (I had better ones in my life), a mixture of the same nice coffee with milk, and... milk. The same situation if I wanted to have a juice (which actually had a profound drugs flavour). Even the souroundings looked promissing, the overal impression was that nobody made a cleanning and refreshement efforts in the last 12 months. At one moment I had the impression that I booked my rooms in a noisy under construction building site. A pneumatic hammer noise accompanied my familly's program along the entire Easter day.
Friendliness of staff Does not meet adequate fire/health and safety standards. Door to emergency stairs was locked despite complaint. No fire instructions in rooms. All areas smoking areas
Close to sea, health treatment range good and easy to book, heated indoor pool. Indoor pool changing facilities could have been cleaner so used own hotel room
The room and the inside door swimming pool No
a total inability to find the place from the road. Took us an hour as the resort is a total maze
Excellent. Very friendly, welcoming. Very clean and comfortable. Cannot recommend it enough. Our 3rd stay here.
Solaris is more than ok to stay. The best facility of Solaris is the high speed FREE internet acces (wireless) ... no, everything was fine
Pretty family hotel, the owners were exquisite and made us feel at home. The room was actually a small appartment with a nice balcony, it was clean and spacious. Breakfast was good and the owner's two cats and dog were really cute. Nice pool and garden and 5 minutes away from the beach. Good value for money, recommended. The structure is slightly isolated but not a problem if you have your own transportation: the hotel can pre-arrange a shuttle service from the airport at a small extra cost.
The helpfulness of the staff especially George
Solaris Hotel is by far the nicest hotel we have visited and we highly recomend it. The proprietors are rightly very proud of their hotel and do everything possible to give the warmest of welcomes.Very friendly and a great location to see the city of Varna, walk to local beaches and see the sights of Bulgaria
I liked home atmosphere, proximity to the beach, quiet and peace. The hosts are ready any time to help you if you need something from advice how to get to a place to a particular thing.
We felt home and welcome. The couple taking care of the hotel is very friendly and you have a family feeling there.
Helpful staff, cleanliness of room and hotel. Quite difficult to find in the dark. Not quite there with the tea/coffee making facilities. There was no choice of beverage, no long-life milk or cream and no teaspoon so we had to use a pen to stir.
Very nice people that run the hotel, very pleasant and helpful. Nice room and good bed. Close to restaurants and resort hotels and stores. Although close to retaurants and stores, beach etc, it is a bit of a walk. I had a great deal of trouble finding the hotel - may have more to do with my Sat/Nav.
The price was ok, owners were ok, room was clean, the pool was ok No AC, away from beach, very bad looking village with bad beach...I won't go there a second time.
Nothing special at this hotel. Price per room is ok but is far away from the beach( 1km).
