A nice comfortable, clean and welcoming hotel with friendly staff, a good resturant with a tasty varried menu and cosy rooms. I booked a double room for myself and when they realised I was travelling on my own they reduced the rate.
Friendliness of staff, very good food, location close enough for easy access to various skiing resorts, especially Megeve area. Non-smoking room smelled strongly of smoke on our arrival, although the hotel manager was very helpful and immediately sprayed the room to lessen the smell. However, guests are allowed to smoke on their balconies (evidenced by ashtray on table there), but clearly aren't encouraged to keep the balcony door closed so the smoke doesn't end up inside. Non-smoking rooms should include balcony to avoid this problem.
Pleasant welcome, small french hotel with traditional feel, very good evening meal and good value breakfast
La Ubicación There was almost nobody (employes) in the hotel during 25th, december. And nobody arranged the room in this date. If the hotel need holidays in the Cristmas day, should inform the clientes (and Booking) in advanced !!!
The hotel staff were excellent especially the receptionist who more than went out of her way to help. The restauraunt had a good choice of menu and well cooked food. Inclusive of the price was a relaxing massage machine.
V friendly family run hotel. Comfortable but not luxurious. Bathroom v small.
Overall standards were good, pleasent staff and helpful The restaurant was not to my expectations the service was poor they seemed understaffed and you had to wait too long for drinks when ordered they forgot to get it !!! and the price of the meal was too extravegant for what you got
Staff is polite however only one receptionist speak english well enough. Good restaurant. Clean rooms No major weaknesses, good value for money
This Auberge is a delight. It has many assets, the best of all is its staff. All were friendly, helpful and welcoming. The owner is charming and her happy, efficient attitude permeates through the entire establishment. The other major plus is the food, provided by the owner's husband who is in charge of the kitchens! This was indeed a gourmet establishment, yet the prices charged were extremely reasonable. It is obviously also very popular with locals.Dinner at the Auberge is a memorable occasion, breakfast was exemplary with a wide selection of freshly made goodies. Accomodated in the annexe, our room had a verandah and views of Mont Blanc. The rooms are functional not luxurious, but they were clean and good value for the price charged
Excellent service, superb food and very good value. A view of Mont Blanc from both the restaurant and the balcony of our room had us spellbound during our wonderful stay.
The room was clean and roomy, with a good bathroom, and a very pleasant outlook. There was a good car park, which in our case was not charged for. The hotel does not offer a fixed price three course menu, which makes eating expensive. There was no starter under 12 euros and any main meat course was 25 euros plus.
The whole experience was outstanding, faultless. The staff was impeccable and extremely welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was outstanding.
Good view of the Mont Blanc from the distance and personnel extremelly helpful Location is a bit isolated from the village and wifi internet does not really work in the rooms
Convinient location, comfortable rooms, cozy atmosphere!
Staff was pleasant and very helpful. Owner of hotel was able to speak English and was knowledgable about the area. The room was always clean and had a lot of space. We had our best meal in France at this hotel's restaurant and it served meals that are typical of the area. The hot tub was great. We had the most beautiful view of Mont Blanc from our room. The children enjoyed the playground at the hotel also. No complaints about the hotel, we just had to ask for directions once we got into Sallenches to find the hotel.
Charming location with superb views, comfortable rooms, extremely friendly staff, meals were French cuisine at its finest. Also they are very pet friendly. Nothing, this place is amazing.
Very friendly with good service
The hotel has a fantastic restaurant which served some of the best food I have ever tasted and the rooms were adequate for a night's stay
Kitchen is very good. Beautiful view of Mount Blanch.
the best price/quality ratio I could find in that region in late October. Very quiet place and not far from the highway exit
Coulnt locate the hotel. Tried to ring them.but didnt get an anser
owner's hospotality room'c window, in front of kitchen chimney
superb landscape ,nice staff, clean and warm room, nice kitchen in restaurant
A little gem! Reasonable price, friendly staff, clean basic rooms with Alpine charm, quiet, excellent speciality food, amazing 360 degree view of the mountains, a good base for walking. Excellent for a 2 star hotel.
We loved the view from our window. The hotel is located on 1040m so we could see Mont-Blanc right in front of us! We were thrilled to find a ski-lift about 70m from our doorstep! Staff very friendly and helpful. They've got an amazing restaurant with good prices if you take half-board. Our 2 year old daughter had a place to play in the restaurant with toys and games. Hotel very clean, I could see the staff cleaning the floors all the time. Wonderful holiday! Definitely recommended! Nothing to complain about!
Exceelent staff perfomance, carmy, Excellent dinner and food and drinks, very clear
Friendly hotel, excellent food and service. Speaking 'Franglish' not a problem!! Very gooed value for money.
Very comfortable stay, good food, helpfull and charming owner/manager. Excellent small familey run hotel in small hillside village with good access to A40 for chamonix and local skiing in Megeve St Gervais Conbloux
compliments to the ' CHEF"!excellent food, wins, good prices, beautifull view.
From the welcome to the departure we were looked after like special guests. The views are fantastic, the room very nice. We were a little weary from a long drive and so decided to eat at the hotel which we usually try and avoid. We were more than just pleasantly surprised. The food and the service the best we have had in a long long time. We were sorry we only booked for one night.
staff friendly, lovely views, room cleaning excellent bed a bit smaal , breakfast poor value
We had a lovely room with a balcony and view over the Mont Blanc massif. The staff were so friendly and obliging, gave us the option of twin or double and brought our drinks to the room; we had dinner in the hotel which was delicious although the menu was quite limited. The breakfast was better than other reviews led me to believe. The free wifi was a bonus; I am sure the terrace would have been fabulous if we had not had a thunderstorm - we were ony there one night. It was a great spot to stay on our way to the Mont Blanc tunnel. We would have liked a shower curtain over the bath or a proper shower; we would have liked a minibar/fridge
At least from service standpoint this hotel deserves better then 2 stars in my opinion. Hence, it's an excellent value for money equation. The rooms are also a bit bigger then in comparable 2-star moutain hotels in the region. Nothing
The second time we have stayed in this hotel. We highly recommend it - professionally run by friendly and helpful staff with a beautiful outlook over Mont Blanc, lovely French style rooms and very good food.
I loved the food - we ate in an had a 5 course dinner for just 24euros and it was top quality and also loads of it! It was a superb find - just a 10min drive out of Megeve up a mountainous drive!
Lodged during Easter in groundfloor garden rooms with magnificent view of Mont Blanc. The staff (especially the lady in charge) extremely friendly and helpfull (she made our days). Do not miss the restaurant (great local gourmet cuisine and variety of wines). Very convenient location, near the ski resort of Megeve. Will be back again for sure. Some cons: should have fridge in room (lot of cheese to buy in the local stores) and should have a more "local" character in the otherwise hefty breakfast menu. Fridge in rooms. Local cheese and ham during breakfast.
Simple, straight-forward rooms in a beautiful location. Offered Wifi. I was there for business in the area, and it was located at a good crossroads between Megeve, St Gervais and not too far from Chamonix.
Very friendly staff and good location. Clean rooms.
The kindness of owners. The evening dinner had a wonderful sighseeing on the mountains but food can be improved (the breakfast was ok).
