Breakfast was great. nice Texas shaped waffles. Friendly staff, very attentive.
missed the bath tub!
It is in a very good location especially if you have a care where you can park your car just next to the hotel with a $15 half a day of 25 for a 23 hours.
Staff was great and friendly
Kind of overpriced for its grade. Breakfast wasn’t great at all just soggy oily food. No refrigerator in the room
Friendly staff, great location and price!
It was a 2 minute walk to the River Walk area and right across the street from the Alamo. There was no reason to take the car out of its parking space once we got there. I am sure that if we go back we will stay several days instead of one night.
American history is no stranger to San Antonio, “the home of the Alamo.” The Hotel Gibbs was built on the principle of preserving history. The building was San Antonio’s first high-rise office building in 1909 and has just recently been expertly transformed into an elegant hotel.
Hotel Gibbs prides itself in its amenities. Each room provides guests with complimentary coffee, free high-speed WiFi, air conditioning, tall ceilings, and luxurious bathrooms. Hotel amenities include a fitness center, sauna, business center with internet access, and a top-notch multilingual staff.
Guests at the Hotel Gibbs are just steps away from the Alamo. This treasured piece of American history is as beautiful as it is significant. A few blocks further is the Ripley’s Believe it or Not! Museaum. A great way to see the city is to participate in a San Antonio River Walk tour.
The great sightseeing near Hotel Gibbs makes hosting professional events in San Antonio very convenient. While the professionals are participating in meetings in the event spaces at the Hotel Gibbs or the nearby Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, the rest of the family can enjoy the many attractions. Kids will especially enjoy the Rainforest Café.
Hotel Gibbs can accommodate up to 80 guests and offers many planning services. The meeting rooms offer WiFi, catering options, and audio/visual equipment. Furthermore, event attendees will greatly appreciate the complimentary breakfast, and $4 happy hour every hour in the hotel’s 1909 Taproom.
Business events and family vacations are easily accommodated at Hotel Gibbs. The nearby San Antonio International Airport, event center, and local attractions offer guests convenience and entertainment.
