Cons: Check in at 10am is on the very early side as it forces you to have an early breakfast (closes at 9 or 9.30am) The area is close enough to the lake Como, but Road works in the villages leading to the location made it a bit of a hustle to drive back and forth. San fedele was ok as a village but it lacked some choices for restaurants

Pros: Where can i start... Cozy and sweet farm house with beautiful rooms and amazing owners - Fabio and Milena. We really felt at home far from home for two nights. The dinner that Milena cooked was so great, and worth every cent. You really get the authentic Italian exprience. Can't say enough good things to describe this warm hospitality and the exprience.

Pros: Everything about this place was just more than perfect! Our host Emiliano was super friendly. He grows his own vegetables, has chickens and other animals at his farm not far from the hotel. He took us there to show it all. Soo nice! The rooms have an absolute spectacular view on lake como. The hotel is easy to find at a beautiful location up in the mountains. Bathroom spacious and enough room to put your toilettries. Breakfast is simple but superfresh cuz of home grown tomatoes, fresh milk, cheese and croissants. We got to enjoy it outside with the beautiful view again. Very good value for money too. There is a very good restaurant close by that does traditional italian dishes. Emiliano made reservations for us. We had the perfect 2 nights here and would recommend it to anyone. Cant give more than a 10 but we would have. Thanks Emiliano!

There are also a couple of very good and authentic restaurants in the village. Sarah, the owner and the manager of Ca'Suana, is a very amiable, helpful and flexible person.

Pros: Old, charming house, Italian style. Location away from the noise of the lake You can enjoy the sound of silence during the night. Fresh air and very relaxing sleep. But, the real plus of the location is the owner, Omar. He isn't only extremely helpful but it was a pleasure interracting with him. It was an enjoyable experience, completely different from fancy hotels without soul.

Pros: definitely plenty adventures! "Kidnapped" by a stranger in a Jeep to reach the location ;-) - welcomed by friendly llamas and an incredible wild boar stew! Dinner is mandatory - maybe it's the altitude, but everything tastes amazingly good - the homemade wild berry grappa included. Fantastic scenery and nice hiking possibilities.

Cons: only one thing to regret: tempus fugit / time flies - we definitely would have liked to stay longer, in order to try out the many activities offered: llama tour, cheese elaboration workshop...

Pros: Perfect place for a time out. The beautiful and remote lying loding house can be reached via jeep shuttle, or a 20 minute walk. There are a lot of happy farm animals and self-produced foods. giacomo, the families son was very polite and gave us a confident shuttle through a hard access route. dinner was very delicious, of high quality and not expensive.

Cons: The welcome at the house felt a bit chill. there was no further introduction. unfortunately, our room was not big enough to open our suitcases. There was only just enough space for the bed, two narrow ways and a wardrobe. we also had two different breakfasts. the first day very sparsely, when we were the only guests. the second day very rich, together with a group of italian business folk. in the evening we could hear the other people from our room. 22.30, vacuum cleaner was used.

Cons: The pick up from carpark can be more organised. I called up and been told the jeep will come in 10-15 min. And they came in 55 min. Is just not right. You could just say: look will be long and than I just go for a coffee or something while I wait.

Pros: Beautiful remote property up in the hills above lake Como. Very environmentally protective and responsible. Great country experience among the lamas, goats, horses cows and Hens.

Pros: The people are very friendly and helpful. The house is perfectly clean. We liked the facts that there is an elevator, a pool, and free enclosed parking. We liked the breakfast. The room came with all necessities and was spacious and comfortable. The neighbourhood is very quiet and the air is fresh.

Cons: The location is remote and almost on a hilltop. Even with GPS it was difficult to find. It takes an experienced driver to go from there into Switzerland. Nevertheless, I would go back to the hotel.

Pros: Loved the view from our bed! Bedroom very comfortable and had beautiful wooden beams covering the angles of the ceiling.

Cons: The shower was in the bath and had no high hook and no screen so you had to hold it and it was impossible to shower without soaking the whole bathroom. As a result we had to put the towels on the floor to prevent slipping. It would be nice to have access to tea and coffee without having to pay extra for it. No air conditioning but the fan was sufficient as it wasn't too warm.

Pros: From Como Lake too long distance.

Pros: The B&B is very new and located on top of a hill about a 20 min drive from Argegno which is on the Lago di Como. The room is nice and spacious as is the bathroom. We really liked our private garden (room 2 on the ground floor) with two lounging chairs and a parasol looking out on the hills and the soccer field. Breakfast was good for Italian standards. The lady made fresh cappuccino which was an added bonus. Please note there are restaurants on the way up to the B&B in the little towns. We understood from the owners there weren't any so we ate in Argegno (on the lake) at the wood oven pizzeria which was excellent by the way.

Cons: There was no airco and it was 35C outside. They had left the windows open but it was extremely hot inside and as there was a light on all night just outside our window attracting mosquitoes we didn't dare to leave it open. When I mentioned this the next day to the lady at breakfast she said we could have asked for a fan. When we arrived the place was closed so there was nobody to ask and how I am supposed to know they have them? I don't understand with 35C why they did not just leave the fan in our room, then we could decide to use it or not. Unfortunately, I barely slept because of this and was very uncomfortable. Also although the bathroom is very nice there was no place to hang up your towel near the sink or anywhere else. Some extra hooks in the bathroom also for clothes would have been very handy.

Pros: Breakfast was good. It was clean and tidy. That's about it!

Cons: Room was as basic as they get. Some extra feature including kettle, fridge, WIFI in the room (as WIFI coverage was minimal) would be a good start. Some KM's away from any sightseeing experiences. Noise from village basketball court next door goes well into the night with youths also parking and revving cars near the from of the property.

Pros: Cute little Bnb with a nice location, staff were friendly and the rooms were spacious.

We ended up spending alot of time on the restaurant because the food and wine was spectacular. The stay was perfect so i give 10/10!!

Pros: A beautiful old building at the hilltop. Perfect view onto the mountains, beautiful surroundings. Very warm welcome by the staff. Big, spacious, spotlessly clean rooms and bathrooms. A very nice owner lady, she is always there, for you. Good breakfast, and excellent, traditional italian food at the restaurant. A nice pool for cooling down after an exhausting day . Some minutes driving to Argegno, where you can find the closest ship station. We enjoyed every minute that we stayed there. Highly recommanded.

Cons: Our terrace faced onto the main street, so it was a bit noisy in the night. So we closed the door.

Pros: This was my second time staying at Locanda del Notaio. I’ve been looking forward to returning there and I’m extremely happy I got a chance to experience the kindness of the staff, the amazing dinner and delicious breakfast once again.

Cons: It’s not a game-changer, but the beds are slightly uncomfortable as they’re pretty hard. Haven’t had any issues sleeping there though - but it would be a nice touch if they’re improved.

Pros: short answer : it was a ridiculous stay! and I mean this with the absolute most positive way possible . it was an amazing stay. a beautiful hotel, amazing breakfast the best staff I have ever had in any hotel. everything was exactly how it should be, actually scratch that everything was a lot better than it should be. I will give you an example. this is the off season, we were alone in the hotel we had a full buffet breakfast just for the 2 of us. the made for us 2 different cakes, fresh baked goods, fresh juices, and the funniest thing i have ever seen 2 runny boiled eggs. forget for a second that everything was delicious, we were only 2 they were aware of it so instead of making less food and less options, they got us everything and made exactly 2 eggs on the table. the restaurant in the hotel was beyond good deserving that star. really you have to go there you will not regret that.

Pros: This hotel has the most spectacular views of Lake Como. Sunrise and sunset glistening off the snowy peaks of the Eastern Alps cannot be beaten. Would heartily recommend this wonderfully peaceful little hotel with superb food and warm friendly service.

Pros: Excellent location, fantastic view's over the lake from the lovely grounds. The staff were very friendly and helpful with information on places to visit etc, nothing seemed to much trouble for them. The room was a good size with an enormous bed and was absolutely spotless. Although we did not have a view, over the lake from our room, the view's up the mountain,s were still beautiful and very tranquil, The bathroom was again a nice size and spotless, the shower was okay for us but may have been a bit cramped for a larger person. You do need to have some form of transport if staying here, as it is a very long walk to the lake and local village.

Cons: No real complaints, but tea / coffee facility's in the room would have been nice and a razor socket in the bathroom. The evening menu would have benefited from a bit more choice to the main course, as all dishes were red meat with no chicken or fish on the menu.

Pros: The astonishing view, the spacious nice clean room, the enormous bed, friendly staff.

Cons: The hotel is far from any supermarket or ATM. The internet connection was absent on the checkout date, so we had to pay in cash.

Pros: Nice restaurant, although expansive. Very nice and quiet position with a nice view. They manager was very nice to keep the kitchen open to allow us to have dinner although we arrived late to the hotel.

The room (secon floor with a glance of a lake view) was large and comfortable . We appreciate the comfortable parking

Pros: It was a great stay on this villa, very kind staff. Lake View from the window can’t be compared with anything, very peaceful, nice beach where you can swim. Good enough breakfasts again With the view.

Cons: Not good amenities in the room

Pros: Location. Close to eateries and boat to Como, easy parking for motorbike. Very good breakfast, room quiet.

Cons: Nothing. My wife and would stay here again if we came back to Lake Como.

Pros: The location is great and the scenery and quiet setting with stunning views. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Cons: The breakfast was the same every day. Staff should get a sign off at the end of the evening meals on what people have had. The bills are settled on the last day and its difficult to remember what you had every day. It's easier if every day its at least agreed on what was had.

Pros: The property is located on the end of the village up the hill. I like the countryside around there. Super calming place;)

Pros: Place is quiet and it's a farm stay if you like simple living. Views over the valley are beautiful.

Cons: Location is on the hill, 15min uphill from Argegno. Depending what you want to do it's a bit far from everything. We came to see farm animals like the photos, but the place has only chicken and ducks to see close by. Our prepaid reservation was for a "family room" upstairs with a balcony (34m2). We got smaller "deluxe double" room in the basement (23m2). It was enough for 2 adults and 2 kids but different from reserved family room photos and should be cheaper. The air in the basement is moist and it doesn't smell nice.

Pros: The trip towards it is a bit scary but the place makes it worth it all

Cons: Looks and feels like a hostel - but the prices for accommodation and drinks are like a 4Star Hotel - which this location is definitely not... Disappointing.

Pros: Located up the hill in San Fedele, this was the perfect getaway for some quiet time, especially if you want to escape from the nearby Tourist hot spot of Lugano. Driving up to the property was an exciting experience on its own when coming from the Swiss side, as there are multiple pin drops (roads) some 20 degree gradient. Breakfast was continental but sufficient, and the property itself was small but relatively clean. The proprietors were helpful, even when it looked like we might have to leave a day earlier than originally planned due to a potential issue back home (which we didn't in the end) - We will definitely consider staying here again

Cons: Limited choice of places to eat in San Fedele, so be prepared to pay a small premium for basic pasta/pizza dishes. Parking on the property could be better organized- Although there were a few off property parking spaces, the owners should definitely consider painting the parking spots to make it easier for drivers to park properly (On a good day when everyone did the right thing especially the German guests, the front of the compound easily accommodated 7 cars, but that is not always the case with some Italian guests (or Italian plated cars) parking in an inconsiderate manner, meaning the compound accommodated fewer cars than it would have) -May be for breakfast, consider adding a few non continental choices to the menu

Pros: The bed was very comfy.just what we needed after packing up my lovely house in San Fedele and preparing to return to UK due to ill health.

Pros: Liked the location - just between the Como and Lugano lake. My room was big enough and clean. Choise for a breakfast was better than I expected. Staff was friendly and helpful, administrators spoke quite well English (no language barrier). Seemed to be very safe area.

Cons: There was only one free socket available in the room (though I needed to charge in the same time 3 devices), but having this experience already I had taken my own extension cord with me (that took half point off from my rating). No one warned me that if coming late, there may be not any parking place available and if so, that there is quite nearby (at the cinema, ca 100 m) big parking lot where it is possible to park for free.

Pros: It was very nice stay. The place was very beautiful. They have rooms with terace and the most beautiful view! We realy enjoyed our stay.

Pros: The garden is amazing! The staff is really kind. Everything was great for us.

Cons: The location was hard to find, we didn’t have internet at first so we followed our car navigation to Switzerland; then we had to go back to Italy again. But that is not a complaint, just a note for travellers :)

Pros: Beautifully set place in a village above a valley, with a big garden and very peaceful and quite. The house has been very tastefully designed and furnished. Great setting between Lago Lugano and Lago di Como, perfect for hiking and day trips. Nice breakfast.

Cons: The owner was quite helpful, but gone some of the time, so it lacked a bit of a personal touch.

Pros: Beautiful location and home, the interior decorating is stunning! Loved the dogs and the hosts gave great suggestions of things to do around Lake Como, would definitely stay here again!

Pros: The location was fantastic, tucked away off the beaten track, quiet. Very friendly, clean and comfortable. Good local knowledge and advice on where to go. The restaurant was awesome, interesting menu, lovely food, reasonable prices. Thank you for teaching us how to order coffee in Italy - we made very good use of your advice.

Cons: WiFi could have been better in our room. But it was good in the public area.

Pros: Everyone was super helpful! We had a small room with a sweet little window that you could sit in and enjoy the amazing views. A big breakfast was served the following morning, classic Italian fare of yummy cheese and cured ham as well as coffee juice and a croissant. Got the whole low down on the best places to see in the area. I could go on and on. Highly reccomend and will stay again should we return.

Cons: Perhaps another pillow would be nice for us night readers.
