Very relaxed hotel, good choice of food, idea for families, wonderful location, picturesque and quiet.
The views from hotel were fantastic and hotel staff were very helpful The hotel was a little remote for ourselves would have liked a bit more night life
Lake Garda is a beautiful place. Lake itself, mountains, clean waters all was excellent. This is just a wrong hotel in a splendid place, just like many other things in Italy :) Hotel is a fleabag, rooms are so old you cant imagine it. Dont believe what the site is saying about triple room, its just pretty small doubleroom with extra bed that makes it impossible to move in the room and forget to get to balcony. It was really crap. If you decide to go dont hesitate to ask for a better room, the staff understands what kind of rooms they have and most likely will try to help you a little, but they dont have much to upgrade it to anyway.
Happy hour in der Hotelbar, dort auch sonst faire Preise mit Blick auf den Gardasee.
Stayed in a family room for 3 nights. Good location just outside Salò, on the lakeshore with a small but nice beach. Beautiful view of the Garda lake and Salò from the terrasse bar. Shuttlebus to the town a few times during the day. All meals incl. Very old hotel, long time since it was a 4 stars hotel! The furniture in our room was worn & damaged, the room so small (bathroom tiny!) that with the ugly bunkbeds for the children we were unable to move around. The air/con was not working properly in our room, and the food they served was barely eatable and mostly junk food. The hotel in general is in a desparate need of a total redecoration.
its location and lakeside facing room I do not agree with 4* rating- should be 2* if applies to standard of service all except 2 staff
the room was very comfortable. We were not made aware of the fact that it would cost so very much regarding the trip from the airport to the hotel and then back again, it cost almost as much as the price of the room. This must be listed on the web site. The hotel, in our opinon, should not have been open during the off season. We were the only 2 in the hotel for 2 nights.
Lovely location, very quiet, village only a short walk. Lack of English by the staff, no brochures in English for what to do.
Very nice, brand new hotel. Beautifull design and not too big. The personell really gives you à warm welcome and i highly reccomend this hotel. Very near to lake Garda and various great citites like brescia, Verona and even Milano is do-able.
Nice room, nice mountains wiew and partially of the Garda Lake; clean hotel, enough quiet environment - with the exception of the church bells nearby; good parking facilities at the underground The breakfast is pretty good, hovever it had some unexplainable failures: one had to order a cofee to get a real/decent one, at the dispenser cofee machines you could get some instant cofee-like hot beverage; the meat products (salami, ham) weren't chosen according to a 4* standard, but more like to a 2* one. Ruther far from the lakeshore and not so well connected to the beach, hence it's advisable to have a car. Also the inner walls could have been better sound-insulated.
The room was very nice. I think quality-price is perfect.
A very modern hotel with clean, spacious and designed rooms. A very pleasant setting with a great view of the mountains and lake Garda. Staff very kind and helpful. The restaurant was excellent with reasonable prices. We have travelled a lot and have high requirements on standard, cleanlyness and well kept rooms and this was actually the best hotel we have stayed at in that price range - we would really recommend it. Event though we are quit fussy we have really nothing negative to say about Villa Luisa.
The food was excellent. Charming out-of-the-way town away from Garda tourists. Staff was very amenable. The air conditioning could have been turned up. it was very hot this year.
Family owned and run
A recommended place with a very good value for money. The staff speaks at least 3 languages; Italian, German, English.
We enjoyed staying in this lovely old 16th century building and found the staff at Hotel San Filis very helpful and the food very enjoyable. They also have an excellant wine list. No
