It is right in the heart of everything. I loved it. People were chill and really friendly.
The property shut down on the second day of my stay because of COVID. The mayor had apparently asked to shut down non-essential businesses. Nevertheless, I was given a hint of it when I checked in so I could make alternate accommodation. I’m happy they were forthright with this. They also only charged me for one night’s stay as they closed down after that.
Comfy bed, lovely breakfast, thought the location might be a bit out the way but close to bus stops, it worked for us. Beautiful setting with great views across the bay.
The location is amazing - facing Alcatraz and Golden Gate across the water. It is perfect for morning walks. It is in the city, but you feel away from the crowd. Safeway is a short distance away. Wifi was great. I loved the common area with fireplace in March. Laundry is $1 Shower is hot and strong. Ideal for backpackers. Breakfast is modest - peanut butter and jelly toast, granola and yougurt and apples, coffee and orange juice, but it is better than nothing.
the location was great
the room was really small
Great location, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. They also offered a number of activities that looked very interesting, but I didn't get a chance to participate in any of them so I can't say anything about them.
The windows kept rattling at night, but it was not too disturbing.
