The San Remo Hotel is an ideal choice for the traveler eager to experience the authentic San Francisco atmosphere. Just a short distance from Fisherman’s Wharf, it is part of the North Beach neighborhood known for old-world buildings and Victorian architecture. It is also where some of the country’s most famous and oldest Italian restaurants remain, and so it is a good accommodation for the foodies of the world in addition to business or leisure travelers.
Not far from Ghirardelli Square, with its premium boutiques and chocolate shops, and steps from a cable car stop, it is a good place to begin an exploration of the city. Union Square is just one block from the hotel’s front door! However, that is not to say that the hotel is without an array of luxuries and comforts of its own.
