Excellent Stay
I liked the French theme. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. I appreciated the wine and cheese hour and breakfast.
The water pressure in the shower was low. Also, it's an old building, so you can hear people walking above you. Ear plugs do the trick.
Great little boutique
Very charming, old fashioned feel. They made a delicious breakfast buffet with fresh fruits, quiches, meats, pastries, etc. The coffee was incredibly good. The staff were all friendly and seemed happy to work there.
No a/C... Typical in SF old buildings. So I kept my windows open which let in noise.
Perfect balance between quirky and luxurious
Everything about our stay was pleasant. They hotel is an old building, but is in excellent condition. It's small, but they use they use the space well. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful; they make everything so easy (even parking, which is a nightmare in the city). I would absolutely stay here again!
No complaints!
We liked that the rooms had comfortable chairs - not just a bed for sitting and reading or watching TV. The evening appetizer/wine event was nicely done. The breakfast was quite good. As a comment, not a judgment, the stairwells were narrow and steep, the floors creaky and the bathrooms small. These are reasons that the hotel may not be appropriate for children.
Family feel as a whole. Complimentary drink was surprisingly good. Staff is helpful and friendly.
location
unfriendly staff. bad breakfast
Heritage building, cool elevator
Noise, room by the old elevator, very hard mattress.
Felt European but was in the heart of San Fran
Quiet, comfortable, clean and pleasant staff.
Service, breakfast, location, room
None; coffee maker didn't work
One of the great places on every traveler’s bucket list is San Francisco. The city by the bay is a place that everyone from all walks of life feels welcome in. Whether it is the rolling hills in the city or the crazy Lombard Street, there is so much to see in the city. When you go farther afield, Alcatraz is a great trip, and California’s Wine Country is not too far away. However, when you decide to book a room, the Petite Auberge is the place travelers love.
The Petite Auberge is located right in the heart of San Francisco’s Nob Hill. This area of the city is filled with great places to see including some excellent restaurants and shops. San Franciscan culture is on display here. Business travelers will love the free WiFi, and the views from the hotel are some of the best in the city.
When dining in San Francisco, there are options galore. Nob Hill has many different types of dining establishments, but if you take a drive around the city, you can get cuisine from all around the world. The hotel does offer a complimentary breakfast, and there are always food trucks nearby including some great pizza. The bottom line is when dining in San Francisco, the question most people have isn’t about which food is good, it’s a question of which food culture would they like to try.
There are plenty of great hotels in San Francisco, but when staying at the Petite Auberge, you are staying in one of the best.
