Staff is really courteous, upgraded our room for free. Always smiling, will help you no matter what. Had an amazing stay, and will definitely come back again.
We loved the amenities, cleanliness , and attentiveness of staff in addition the local of the hotel to all different conviniences
Nothing to dislike
Our family loved the close proximity to the beach.
Taxis were too expensive. There's not enough public transportation.
Service from the staff was excellent. View from our room was fantastic. Room and grounds were kept very clean. Beach was lovely and kept clean. We really enjoyed our stay and would like to return.
A little pricey. Also someone was smoking on their balcony. We could not sit on our balcony one evening because of the smokers. I was told that the hotel policy allows smoking on the balconies as long as their balcony door remains shut. That may be fine to keep smoke out of the room but it doesn't help guests in nearby rooms. Smoking should not be allowed anywhere on the grounds, including balconies.
Wonderful live music at pool and in lobby. Beautiful beach, plenty of chairs and umbrellas. Nice pool, just a little chilly.
Food is so-so and overpriced (no big surprise).
Nice área of San Juan near many restaurants. Old San Juan is a quick 75 cent bus trip (very nice buses) from in front of the hotel. Hotel has great pools, beachfront, with lots of activities for anyone.
It was on the beach, close to restraunts, walking to almost everything
Drinks were very expensive!! 22$ for a local beer and a glass of sangria!! Worst sangria the whole trip! Went down the street and ordered a 3.99 sangria, was the best one!!
Great location for shopping and dining along the Ashford strip. The beach outside the hotel was great, plenty of chairs and umbrellas provided by staff. Pool area very nice with swim up bar.
The music at the check in area is unbearably loud. My keys didn't work and I had to go back to check in three times, which was annoying, but they did upgrade my view to compensate for the trouble which was nice.
There is definitely plenty to do right at the resort, but if you're feeling a little adventurous you can trek up to Old San Juan for beautiful sight seeing. The staff at the Marriott were more than accommodating and made sure all of our requests were met. The front desk staff was tremendously helpful with recommendations of places to see, eat, shop or whatever we were seeking to do. We can't wait to visit beautiful Puerto Rico again in the very near future!
