Great room well appointed! Beautifully restored historic hotel. Friendly staff, nice restaurant. Breakfast was outstanding. The location is perfect for visiting the area. Easy parking. Great staff, always ready to give suggestions and help with booking activities. The room was clean. The history of the building makes it a cool location to stay. The vintage yet updated Hotel vibe. Walkable to all of the cute village of Lake Saranac. Super helpful staff. The staff were so polite and accommodating. Everything was very clean and beautiful. The second floor bar was gorgeous and had a live musician playing when we were there. Location, very easy to get in and out of. The Cabin Fire made our stay easy and enjoyable. Quite charming. Nice location. Magnificent view of the lake. Awesome little attentions for our babymoon and great welcome! Breakfast was great!. I enjoyed the unique dished that were available. Very comfortable with clean finishes. Friendly staff and coffee downstairs! Never underestimate the value of a parking garage in Saranac Lake! Location was great. Nice remodel, location is great for walking; hotel bar and restaurant are nice; Great Hall Bar is really nice on nights with music. Lovely grand old hotel with style! Great location and clean. On site gift shop was great. Terrace bar was perfect spot. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. beautiful and close to everything. restaurant and bar. Liked the location, the great staff with their willingness to help and pleasant way in serving the clients. Location was great, staff very nice and helpful and rooms were clean. The room is very clean, staff is very friendly and accommodating. Staff was attentive and properly professional and friendly. Great Location, Nice Restaurant in premises, Nice Suite. good location, good staff, clean rooms. beautiful hotel very well kept. Bar, both inside and outside fire pit seating was really nice. Great cocktails. Nice view of town. Very nicely restored. Rooms are roughly half the size of a typical modern American hotel but they are well furnished.
Our walls were SO thin. The room size was a joke. Food in their restaurant was mediocre. King standard room was smaller than expected, but not a deal breaker. The farmers market in the lobby while prepping for the wedding in the ember room was a bit awkward. If we wedding room was upstairs more secluded it would’ve been a lot more comforting. I got absolutely ripped off for the price of the room and perhaps it was just a busy weekend but the hotel is very average and did not justify $1100 for a 2 night stay. Robbery. Rooms are tiny Staff frequently hostile and unhelpful Service in the restaurant was painfully slow. A little pricey, but beautiful. For the rate the room is really small. there were two of us and the only place to really sit comfortably was on the bed, and that wasn't very comfortable. The room was very small. the bathroom was tiny. the door hits the toilet when it is open its so small. Réception staff very lax and not on the ball with requests. Not very tech savvy as well. Hotel rooms are very, very small with limited walking space. No coffee/ tea appliances in room and hotel room is very, very basic for the price you are paying. Hilton disappointed me and has gone with greed versus boutique comfort. Shampoo, conditioner and soap are in bottle form in the shower and the way the shower turns on is ludicrous. Shower is so small I cannot see it fitting a larger adult. There is not included breakfast. Lack of dining options. It was just a small situation where as ladybugs were in our room. The friendly and helpful lady at the front desk worked immediately to find my children and I a better room that suited us. She succeeded…the children couldn’t have been happier with it as well. Cleaner room; cobwebs above window covering. Bathroom was tiny with very little shelf space to put out toiletries. Bad experience in the Camp Fire Restaurant. We stopped for dinner at about 8pm and asked if we could sit in a two seat table by the window. We were asked if we had reservations and we said no. The restaurant was not busy and most the tables along the window were available. We were seated at a large table with a tv and bar behind us and a clear view into the kitchen. Ordered lobster bisque which a wait staff bringing the bowls to the table cupping the top of the bowl rather than on a plate. When we left, the most of the tables by the windows were still empty. For the price, we paid for the bisque and drinks, the experience was underwhelming! the room was extremely small. the king bed was comfortable but not even a foot between the end of the bed and the very large tv. the food at the camp fire wasnt what we were told it was gonna be wasnt impresed at all they were out of things on the menu never told us untill we were ordering they should have said it up front or on the board as you walked in you want some good food come to my house ill set ya up for a top notch hotel thawt the food should have bin Michilen star worthy but happy annaversary to my wife. The breakfast is average, the Service people are nice but does not provide level of service the meets the hotel pretentions. Coffee machine did not work and they could not solve the problem. Hot tub! No ice available. I know most rooms are very small and there aren’t hotel size mini refrigerators in the rooms, but expected to be able to get ice. The condition of the walkway to the parking lot was very poor. Salt has damaged the concrete, which is understandable, but it needs to be cleaned up. The rooms are very small, and we would have felt cramped if we'd spent a lot of time in them. And the bathrooms are teeny. But there's a large 2nd floor great room for lounging and reading any time of day. One of my biggest peeves about these historic hotels is no coffee maker in the rooms so, you have to go all the way to the lobby in morning.
