Pros: Lovely atmosphere - quiet and serene. Nestled in the beautiful Adirondacks.
Pros: Breakfast was lovely. Toast especially good! Convenient location in hotel lobby.
Pros: good location
Cons: Smallish rooms
Pros: This may seem silly but we love the shower and the little lotion they leave. The bed is super comfy and it’s an unbeatable atmosphere
Cons: Nothing! we loved everything
Pros: Very comfortable and convenient to everything and the terrace fire places are wonderful. Good for an evening. The Camp Fire restaurant is very accommodating for our grandchildren too.
Cons: The cushions on the terrace furniture were wet the first evening and then again in the morning. They should be put away each night and during rain. Also the music on the terrace though a nice touch should be background music but it was always too loud.
Pros: It’s a historic hotel, so if you’re into a “vibe,” a great story comes with the place. The Hilton did a fabulous job with decor and touches. Incredibly comfortable bed.
Cons: The rooms are SMALL. You should only stay here if you’re doing active outdoor activities and you only care about a comfortable bed and hot shower. It’s quaint and lovely, but small.
Pros: Great bed
Cons: Very small room. Need sound proofing!
Pros: Very pleasant expierience /short stay but definitely come back.
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff on reception. Stylish decor in rooms and gorgeous bar although a bit expensive.
Cons: The service at the restaurant was abysmal and the food wasn't much better.
Pros: It was all newly renovated. Rooms were tiny but nice.
Cons: We went to go to Campfire Grill. The host that evening was rude. We didn't know we needed reservations. He was not even the least apologetic. Didn t even offer us a bar seat.

Pros: Very relaxing. I will definitely go back again.
Pros: Staff were fantastic
Cons: The free bicycles are getting old and there are not enough adult bikes.
Pros: I usually go for the chain hotels but the prices were crazy so I decided to go local. So glad we did. The rooms are right on the lake. Free canoe, kayak, fishing poles and bikes. Family friendly, although it was just my husband and I. Loved seeing the kids enjoying the outdoors ❤️.
Cons: I was pleased with everything.
Pros: The staff is amazing and is right next to the lake would definitely stay here again
Pros: Had to leave too early
Pros: Liked being right on the lake with boats, kayaks right there
Cons: Bathroom very tiny
Pros: Staff were great Free kayaks/ canoes/ peddle boats Big a/c rooms Free outdoor pool
Pros: Spacious room with updated, clean bathroom. Real glass drinking glasses!! Free use of kayaks, canoes, and bicycles. Quiet spot on a small lake, but very close to town.
Cons: Mattress was getting a bit of a "swale" from use. Needs to be turned or replaced.
Pros: perfect location for the region and staff was friendly and helpful. will go back!
Pros: Unexpected little surprise!! Wish we could have stayed longer!!
Pros: Best Location in Saranac. Right on the water.
Pros: It was the lowest cost place to stay. But as low as the untrue insults he delivered.
Cons: I told the evening lady who was a very gracious host after I saw the no pet notice, not obvious using my online booking. The next day , the owner was rude, pretentious, assumed I was trying pull some over, and accused me of being a cheats a liar and Canada already had a bad reputation and more . He was an incorrigible title supercilious good and made us leave immediately when he saw the pup outside walking around the bushes. I offered to leave the dog in the car and the clerk later said, she would make an except for the pup to stay with us. The owner has no sense of logic, customer service or any skill at handling situations, If I wanted to hide the pup, and do what he accused me of, why would I admit at check-in that we had a pup ( that was 4yrs old, well-behaved and non-shedding). I hope his anxiety and high blood pressure does not shorten his life-span but he made a potential nice visit into a a bad one. He is better to spend his life doing something other than this. In short he had a bad attitude.

Cons: Photos on website were NOTHING like our room. Very misleading. Decor was very dated, lots of dead bugs in the light globes, dead may fly on ceiling tile....for $250, very disappointed/irritated!!
Pros: Only 15 . minutes from lake placid, motel had a few kayaks to use at no charge and were able to launch kayaks right across the street, small beach to swim in nearby, staff was friendly and helpful, dog friendly, and really, really clean! It's an older Inn but so, very clean and that matters most!! Kitchenette had microwave, toaster, coffee maker and coffee, some utensils, plates, cups, small fridge, all the essentials. There was even a dog dish which came in handy... Ours broke when we unpacked.
Cons: Nothing we didn't like. It was a good place and we easily made it our home for a few days.
Pros: The romm (king room) was large, and clean. The furnature is new and well maintained.
Cons: 1. For a large room like this, the bathroom was surprisingly and totally inadequate: it was too small, and the sink was the smallest you can find anywhere, the vanity was nonexistent, with no room for our toiletry; the bathtub was slippery and there was not even a handle bar inside for safety in such a slippery tub! 2. Given the cost they were willing to spend in the room for the new and very large TV and new AC and frige and microwave oven, I was also surprised that there was not a countertop place near the kitchen area for things. I tend to think these are things more essential for a traveler than a large screen TV set. 3. There was only one waste basket. Not a sigle sheet of tissue was found in the room. 4. Over all, I feel that the room's resources allocation was poor: large, empty space wasted while more necessary space (such as the sink) was given short change.
Pros: Way over priced for quality. We were in a luxury suite which was very basic. More like a motel with a flat screen tv.
Pros: Great location. Rooms are very simple but clean
Pros: Location. Friendly staff. Well stocked kitchen.
Cons: Hard pillows. Noisy fridge.
Pros: There was nothing to like about this motel.
Cons: It is stuck in a 1970s time warp. The unit was very small, the sink was tiny, the bathroom was dirty and the bed was not very comfortable. There was a sand filled bucket at the entrance to the unit filled with old cigarette butts. It was expensive and very poor value for money.
Pros: I had a great stay. Pretty views of the lake and pond directly in front of your door. Seating outside everywhere. The inside of the rooms is clean! Comfortable bed and heat/ac was more then adequate. The staff was very nice and pleasant. With that said, the motor inn is exactly that. It is a step back in time. When people traveled in big cars and didn't run on big highways. Its late 1950's style in architecture was living history. I imagined 1950's and 60's car would pull in at any moment. Inside the rooms were updated and modern, lots of water pressure and hot water. Nice fridge and microwave with coffee maker. Bathroom was nice, hair dryer tub sink nicely done in tile. Flat screen tv with lots of channels. For the price you can't go wrong. Its not a luxury hotel, its a motor inn, from an era gone by. These great little places will someday be a thing of the past, but for now, I am glad to see a few nice places still exist. I would recommend this motor inn to anyone looking for a place to hang your hat for a few days. Enjoy the outdoors and everything this area has to offer, and come back to enjoy a quiet evening watching the water and enjoying your time.
Cons: Can't really say I didn't like something.
Pros: The location
Cons: The lack of privacy within the room
Cons: Second floor -- I'm 73 YO, Air conditioning -- not central, Bathroom -- spots on ceiling -- needs painting, TV -- no volume control on remote -- figured out how to adjust on TV itself, Price!

Pros: Our room was clean and very comfortable, the staff was friendly and courteous, and the facility is pet friendly. The parking lot has a tent for motorcycles to park under, and is in a great location for everything we wanted to do.
Cons: I feel there is nothing negative to say about this facility.
Pros: The beds are comfortable and clean. Its roomy.
Cons: Short shower curtain
Pros: The two ladies at the front desk were SO nice! We had Our dog with us and they made up a great bag and h a doggy bed! So sweet
Cons: The smell of clorox at the pool , it was too strong, it burns your eyes. But the rest was great, comfy rooms, clean place. Close to everything.
Pros: Clean comfy quiet rooms. Good communal areas pool etc. Nice sized indoor pool but with outside sitting area to enjoy in fine weather. Nice small area to the side of hotel to sit & enjoy the lake. Ample parking.
Cons: Would have been good to have either coffee making facilities in room or coffee available in the lobby. I believe the grill in the car park has free coffee to BW residents but that closes after lunch time.
Pros: Very nice motel conveniently located.
Cons: I had to pay in full and the cancellation policy at 60 days out is ludicrous. If you didn't cancel you forfeit the cost of the entire stay. I had a elderly relative and needed to go to her, I called at 59 days out, but I couldn't go to her because of this insane policy. I have traveled all over the world and never encountered this. They charged the price of a luxury hotel and it was a lower end dark room, no real lighting, with beds as hard as rocks, thin bed coverings. I've stayed in much better Best Westerns that is for sure.
Pros: McKenzies Cafe!’ We ate breakfast there twice
Cons: Housekeeping was horrible- did not clean, make up bed - left note she was not allowed t “to touch personal items” - there was one neck pillow on the bed. Did not empty room trash cans etc Gave manager “ high school housekeeper’s “ note!
Pros: Clean, comfortable room, friendly staff.
Cons: Was a bit more expensive than I wanted, but it was a holiday weekend, so that was expected.
Pros: good location. breakfast not included
Pros: There was a lacrosse tournament in the area. There were several families with young athletes staying at the hotel. We were worried that they would be noisy. The staff chose our room carefully, and it was very quiet. We were very pleased!
Cons: Wish there had been breakfast on-site.
