This was a Hilton Vacation Club - I called before I made reservations to make sure I was not obligated to do a tour and I was not. When I did check in, the salesman did talk to me about the 90 minute tour, but I felt no pressure to go on one. In addition, I was not pressured through out my stay. Facilities were great (Fitness Center, Pool, Jacuzzi). Overall we enjoyed the place.
Pros:Loved the room along with the pool and workout center. The facility was great!
Cons:I didn't like that the room was not ready before 4pm when we arrived early at 2pm they still made us wait until the maximum time when they could have given us another comparable room like other hotels did previously not making us wait until the maximum time to check in. Also they said I would be notified when room was ready and I never was. I had to go back to the front desk/lobby and inquire about the room again at almost 5pm. That was the only negative part I felt they could have been a little more accommodating and not made us wait so long for a room.
Pros:Location was ideal to meet up with colleagues at Marriott next door. Place was clean, and space was large and comfortable. All appliances worked.
Cons:At check in, I was immediately snagged for a sales pitch. The room was a bit worn, and looked like it needed a deep cleaning. (e.g., The sofa cushions were stretched out of shape.) There were no food service options on site. Instead, I was given a list of local establishments. It was sold online (and in the lobby by salesperson) as a vacation destination, but it was no more than a vanilla extended stay plce for business travellers.
