Hotel owner speaks many languages and very fluent English. Service is great, always down for help and a talk. Room (single) was very good. Zero complaints. Breakfast was perfect, very fresh and good food. Eggs possible. And really good coffee. Location of the hotel is stunning, think one of the best spots I've ever been. It's really incredible! The location is a little bit remote (this is no downside for me, but could be for somebody else, a (long) mountain pass has to be crossed if you want to go anywhere North or East of you). St Christiana is close with many shops and restaurants, no problem at all. I had a perfect stay and will come back since the Dolomites are heaven on earth.
All was perfect.
The location and views are breathtaking, and the caretaker is very friendly and accommodating. In late summer, when we visited, this was a fantastic base camp for climbing and trekking objectives in Sassolungo or Sella groups, with gondola access to Passo Sella mere minutes walk across the parking lot. I can't wait to return in winter for a ski trip!
We had a great stay here for a couple of nights. The room was clean and spacious, with a shared balcony overlooking the mountains. The owner was very kind in helping us plan our hikes for the following days. They even provide you with a bus pass which lasts for a week so you can travel to the main sections of town during your stay for free if you don’t have a car.
It’s not in the main part of town but Selva di Gardena, St Christina and Ortisei are all a 5-15 minute drive away so it’s still very convenient. I imagine this is probably a better location during ski season (there’s a cable car/ski lift right in front) but as it was summer when we visited, we didn’t have a lot to do there and drove out into the surrounding areas during the day.
phantastic location, friendly, good breakfast
a little overprized single rrom 2 adults plus 2 children (9 and 11 yoa) in one single room.
Location close to the lifts but out of the busy Selva. Friendly staff. Clean and quiet.
