very good restaurant with three hall each with its own buffet and grill place a wide choice quality local and national wine and dish. Open terrace with lake view. Night dinner and early breakfast for gusts leaving hotel from 2.30 a.m. Free parking place outside hotel, wide choice of entertainment programm during day and evening. Swiming pool with bar in the bath room was out of order door lock and ventilation capacity was insufficient
Hotel grounds. On the spot fried eggs and soft boiled eggs at the breakfast buffet The restaurant service is too impersonal, food too German, i.e, not Spanish enough as not having Spanish ham or real orange juice.
Everything apart from the below Security side gate key card access to grounds was not secure patio door on room didn't lock No instructions on how to use the safe
Nice large room with pleasant view. The food is very good. Nice atmosphere.
Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is set in a nice park. There was not much choice for food, the pool bar only serving food until 4 p.m. In the evening it was either buffet or eating out.
The room was super and the pool is great. The village location. Staff only speak german and are unable to understand requests for service in English. Hotel is not for British as completely a German clientel.
Fantastic atmosphere and the hospitality as well as the facilities. All are superb.
People working there are lovely; the hotel is a completely renewed old big house, with wonderful furniure in the common areas, a very nice garden and a swimming pool with a view on the church of the small village. There is a private parking (without charges) for the cars. Breakfast is delicious, with savoury and sweet food, and a lot of fruit. The beach "es trenc" (8 km far from the hotel) is gorgeous. In the room you can even prepare a cup of coffee or of tee with a kattle. A couple of details should be improved: for example, in the lovely shower cabin there are no shelves to put the Shampoo; there is no possibility to indicate taht you do not want to be disturbed in your room or that you want it to be cleand; you have to ask the reception for all the information you need instead of receiving in your room a folder with information about the beaches, the restaurants and the tourist attractions of the region. It's better to avoid having breakfast at the same time as groups that might spent a couple of day in the hotel for a professional course.
A new hotel with friendly staff and a nice balance of the old traditional buildings merged with new facilties and comtemporary styling. In an unspoilt part of the island.
A beautiful setting luxurious and very peaceful. The rooms were lovely and really appreciated the air conditioning
Hotel just restored and very nice. Garden and swimming pool. Room cleaning. Bike rental. Good breakfast. Staff absolutely incompetent. Receptionists unfriendly and rude, they don't speak english, just german. Waiters are slow and I had to ask many times to get something. Beware room 201: no window in the bed room!! And small small closet. In the night beetween 29th and 30th of Aug there was a party with loud music in the city until 4.30 in the morning and we couldn't sleep!!! The staff didn't advise about this and they didn't give us a discount for that. absurd. The bath is opened: very easy to wet the floor,no toilet brush (why??), no soap changing in 7 days! I thought it was a 4 stars hotel. In the end good structure but dreadful service
great effort, excellent service
Breakfast excellent.Very beautiful premises and grounds. Waiters, cleaning staff and night porter all very helpful. Secure parking. Overall reasonably good value. Almost a complete shut down after midnight, no real bar as such. In general staff had poor english and we felt the hotel was geared more for the continental europeans with little consideration towards english speaking guests. Bedroom could do with a decent mirror for the vain amongst us.Toiletries were a little scarce and we had to ask for same more than once. No instruction booklet of any description in the bedroom regarding hotel facilities, locality not even information on "How to use the internal phone". All little things that could easily be rectified.
I a wonderful retreat to rest, wine and dine. the village also houses two of my favorite restaurants on the island at 1min walking from the hotel
This was our second time at this resort ,food excellent, pool was great, very clean and the apartments are great .downside the evening entertaiment was not great but overall a great hotel would return again family group with 8year old and two teenage girls who did not want to come home No
The hotel as an excellent location on a Calla Beach, staff very friendly, great sports facilities. It is a great choice for families with children. The timing of meals including dinner are thought in the German tourists. It is unacceptable that the dinner ends at 21:30 local time. Reactively housing for a 4-star hotel, including the bath house should be more spacious and modern. There should also be in the family rooms in addition to the television in the living room a bedroom TV.
the food and drink was excellent.swimming pools and the beach some of the people staying seemed very rude and not very friendly.
we have booked hotel Iberostar Cala Barca base on good price and the Family oriented atmosphere, the hotel was what we expected. Hotel renovated, good mini club 2 h in the morning and 2 in pm, the staff in mini club speak french, spanish, russian, german etc so a lot of nationalities are catered for (couple french kids there at a time) prepare to pay 5 euros for certain activities like pony riding, food quite good for the price, nice view from the cala and chairs available near tennis courts to relax by with sea view, very good price for all inclusive, activites like horse riding near by for 15 euros and rental of kayaks etc quite crowded in August, especially at meal times, so don't prepare for romantic atmosphere lol, tennis rackets rental is 5 eur eachtime, the beach is quite small and crowded, but other nicer beaches near by 10_15 min walk, I would recommend this hotel if your are travelling with children and want to have a nice 4 star room, ok food and go to the beach and do sports like horse riding, kayaking etc
Great offering of sporting activities, location. Croweded breakfast room.
Beutiful view from pool and restaurant, very nice garden, very tidy and clean. Nice food. They spoke better german than English but we managed witout problem.
We liked many aspects but especially the spacious site of the hotel and the fascinating garden We found it a bit difficult to know exactly where the hotel was, as we were travelling westwards from Es Lombards (no visible signposts, in contrast to travelling along the road from Ses Salines )
the location was excellent everyone was very helpful i would hightly recommend Es Turo for a relaxing break with easy access to beautiful beaches
Quiet, romantic hotel - rooms are basic but very spacious and nice. Beautiful hotel & surrounding, nice pool area with stunning view. We would go back straight away!
The finca Sa Carrotja is set on beautifully gardened grounds in the sleepy but imminently accessible Ses Salines. It's advisable you have your own car to get there as the town is off the beaten path somewhat but it's very easy to get to ~30minutes from the airport. They have free bikes and it's an easy 15 minute ride to the beaches around Colonia Saint Jordi. The clientele are mostly German but everyone is very friendly. A great place to go to get away from all the crowds of Mallorca yet be close to some of the most beautiful beaches on the whole island.
peace and quiet
The location was very good quiet at night. beautiful views and a lovely pool.
Nice rooms and good restaurant. Good location with beatiful walk along the shore to the beaches (15 min). Good pool area and possibility to swim in the sea just outside the hotel. Enertainment in the evenings was poor.
As we were travelling by cycle, overnight storage for our mode of transport was a concern. This hotel has that covered with an excellent bike "garage". The fact that our room had a lovely view of the sea and town was a bonus. The breakfast was also excellent.
Very well located closed to Es Trenc one of the most beautiful beaches of Majorca. Very nice view on the sea.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Location was excellent. Rooms allocated to us were quite small. Had no refrigerator, but had a cupboard in which a refrigerator had originally been located. Either put back the fridge (much needed) or replace empty cupboard with storage space such as drawers! Quality of evening meals was not fantastic.
Not the best hotel in the world, but superb value for money, and more than adequate, for a quick sunshine break!
The room was comfortable and clean and had a nice view. We booked a double room but were given two twin beds pushed together. We weren't told that we had to pay on the second day and so assumed we would pay on checkout as with other hotels, we were then locked out of our room on the third day until we paid. Our wallet was in the room and they were hesitant to let us back in the room even though we couldn't pay until we got the wallet. We were then locked out of our room a further two times with no explanation. The majority of people staying at the hotel were German and we were the youngest there by on average 20 years which wasn't bad but just thought it was something I should mention.
The place of the Hotel is second to none, no sand beach but access via "natural pool". Sandy beaches can be reached easily by nice walkaway just on the shore Unfortunately no fridge in the room: we asked at the reception and got one within very short time; The food lacks a bit of variety but is o.k.
position near beaches time for dinner 18.30-21, the should close a bit later (21.30)
The staff were eccelent, smiling and wellcoming in all matters. A little bit old fachend, but lovely Television set from the 60 with a bad signal is not good anough in 2010.
The location was perfect. The food was awful.
Nice central hotel in the small pedestrianised port town of Colonia St Jordi. Clean, with good sized rooms, and a great port facing bar/lounge. Good value for money. This hotel is in a great position in the middle of the town area, whilst most of the competitors are way away in a resort zone. Within walking distance (20 mins) of the brilliant Es Trenc beach. Don't really enjoy mass catering, but they did their best.
The hotel was centrally located ,friendly staff , value for money The food was not up to standard, i know it was only a three star hotel but nevertheless the food did not seemed to be fresh, especially breakfast.
locality, clean. Food was good and staff friendly
The amenities in the hotel were very good. Our room was quiet which was what we wanted and the beach and bars were only five minutes away. The pool area for the hotel was sometimes very noisy with children from the Aparthotel.
the staff was incredibly nice and helped us with recommendations for day trips etc, and they were all super friendly all the time
