Located in Sesriem, Desert Camp is in a rural location, a 1-minute drive from Namib Desert and 9 minutes from Mt. Naukluftberge. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Nice place w a beautiful view and high standard facilities.
Pros: Value for money
Cons: Cupboards next to beds very small and inconvenient
Pros: BBQ option in front of the room. Wood and food supplied at the reception.
Pros: The location and staff.
Cons: Dinner was OK, could be better. All the roads leading there are extremely bad.
Pros: The property is very conveniently located a very short drive from the Sossusvlei entrance. The place was impeccably clean (much cleaner that US hotels), bright, had nice views, and oryx roam about given the nearby watering hole. The shower was absolutely amazing! Wireless internet access is provided near the bar/pool/reception area. We paid ~>$20/person for an amazing dinner at the nearby Sossusvlei Lodge. Initially, we debated over whether it would be worth the cost, but immediately upon entering, realized it was an extremely good deal! There was a very nice outdoor setup, large salad/dessert/soup bar, and wide range of hot food choices (huge array of grilled meats and fish, spaghetti, stir fry, etc). I have a gluten allergy and had no problems finding plenty to eat.
Cons: We liked everything! I guess it would have been nice to have wireless internet access in our room.
Pros: The scenery
Cons: The terrible gravel roads
Pros: We liked our stay there. 5-10 minutes drive away from the national park. You can order your bbq food, rent the cutlery from the reception and make your own bbq. There are oryx roaming around the hotel.
Cons: No restaurant within the hotel premises. The wifi is available only in the reception and pool area.
Pros: We loved our stay. Desert Camp is gorgeous, with unbelievable scenery. Cozy pool and friendly bar area. Perfect location, close to the NP. Food and other resort services available at main lodge which was not a problem.
Cons: No cutlery in cottages, we had to go to reception to check them out. Otherwise, not having food options on the premises was a little cumbersome but we knew what to expect.
Pros: EVERYTHING!!!! ABSOLTELY WORTH THE DISTANCE WE TRAVELLED (5000km's) ROUNDTRIP FROM NELPSRUIT. WILL TELL EVERYONE ABOUT SESRIEM. THANK YOU!!!
Pros: I was moved from Dessert Camp to Dessert Quiver as I had arrived a day early. They were very helpful there. The room clean and spacious. No utensils for cooking/eatingor for the braai
Cons: They charged N$70 for a small bag of wood, that left the bad taste...

Pros: Beautiful resort! Loved the spa and the bar area
Cons: The girl that checked us in whom had a spa tag on was very rude and unhelpful. The main bar closed in the afternoon for the rest of the night, the other bar was really far.
Pros: Such a beautiful resort, and great spa facilities!
Cons: The weather was very windy in April which also caused basicly no signal/wifi connectivity.
Pros: this place is just perfect, the large room, location, restaurant...
Cons: nothing, would have stayed more!
Pros: Great food, great location, great room, turning-down service was fantastic and a real treat. A great place for a romantic getaway - especially if you get a balcony room.
Cons: Kids noisy and in the hot-tub. Not the fault of the venue but detracted a little from overall enjoyment
Pros: The pool floral decoration is really beautiful
Pros: Mirage’s people very friendly and nice. Wonderful position. Services and Lodge very well managed. Restaurant with very good quality, variety and high care.
Cons: The staff weren't sincere and friendly and polite. It was as if I happened to invade their space. I felt uncomfortable
Pros: One of the best lodge we have ever been. We have stayed here in 2015 and we enjoyed Le Mirage and this time it has been even better. Wonderful people and service, very high quality and amazing location.
Pros: What a lovely hotel! The setting is beautiful, staff are all friendly, service is great, and the food was lovely! We really enjoyed our stay, and would love to come back! Thank you!
Cons: The C27 dirt road leading to the hotel- what a shocker! It would be great if it could be graded again.
Pros: Breakfast was a bit thin. Especially as a large group were in early and ate most of the good food.
Cons: Toilet doors very noisey.

Pros: The individual cabins looking onto the desert are great. Food was superb.
Cons: There’s no WiFi away from the bar
Pros: Good food with adequate variety. Humongous bathroom
Cons: Limited wifi
Pros: Great setting
Cons: Steak somewhat tough
Pros: Everything. Staff so nice and truly friendly. Location is perfect. Food out of this world
Cons: Nothing was bad
Pros: Location of our standard room on front line
Cons: It is run as a mass tourist hotel; staff are disinterested and service is poor; buffet meals well below standard, plenty of grilled meat, but salads, vegetables and breakfast very poor selection. Our first night superior cabin was behind the front line with no view. The second night cheaper standard cabin was much better location on the front line.
Pros: Dinner buffet was great, very tasteful and spacious interior and supportive employees
Pros: Food, location and lodge itself...all top notch!
Pros: The location was fantastic, just outside the Gateway to the National Park. The early morning excursion to the sand dunes, including a picnic breakfast, was out of this world; the guide was fun and very knowledgeable. The room was spotless and very comfortable, and our room was right on the edge of the desert, so we had springboks wandering right past our door. The evening buffet was excellent.
Pros: The room and bathroom were very spacious
Cons: The staff especially the tour guide. Basic information like the national park besides the lodge, they claimed they do not know. They think by holding back info, guests have to engage them. Stupid thinking. The reception staff were much better.
Pros: You have accomodated us for many years and we yearly like to Return to Your fasciitis. However as you are always fully booked it's difficult to get the lodge we would like to stay. Next timewe'll og for Dune Lodge. As you understand we'll be back!
Cons: With reference to what we like!
