The receptionist was extremely helpful on check in
Nice, clean hotel close to the old town and right in the port of Sète. Perfect for 1-2 nights stay. Fair report price /quality. Garage. Very kind and supportive receptionist. No minibar; you should ask for water at the reception desk. Bathroom without ventilation. Though provided with a large window, this was blocked by painting. Minimal furniture.
The hotel is well located and well organized. Good value, good spacious and comfortable room. The breakfast was very poor, I didn't eat it, complete waste of money. Coffee was terrible. I will stay in hotel again but go out for breakfast.
Proximity to all amenities. Cleanliness of rooms and all public areas. Politeness and helpfullness of all staff.
The public areas - lobby and dining area were all attractively decorated and clean. The female receptionist was very friendly and very apologetic for the mistake of the male receptionist in not reserving a parking place as he had promised. The room was extremely disappointing. Small, depressing brown decor, a fake plastic ceiling, a worn carpet, a cheaply decorated bathroom.
Original French features retained in the public areas of the hotel, whilst the rooms had all been modernised to a high standard, including air conditioning. We found all of the hotel staff, from Receptionists to Cleaners very helpful and friendly.
it was very clean, the staff were faultless, so kind and helpfull
Excellent location, very helpful staff. Very nice hotel
Location and friendly staff
Close to the restaurants, beaches and boats and easy to reach wildlife
Polite efficient staff. Comfortable large bed. Clean bathroom Fairly shabby. Noisy situation. Basic non-changing breakfast
Near the beach and other amenities, while being slightly away from the centre of town. There was building work noise from about 8am-1pm on one of the days (e.g. drilling, hammering).
Staff was friendly and attentive, however most of them should improve their English.
Okay Not enough baguettes for breakfast
The new bathroom The carpet was disgustingly dirty. The windows were dirty. The room had no temperature control or a was to open the windows. Everything besides the bathroom was outdated.
Nice location and people
Close to a few restaurants. We changed rooms and it was quite good. It's a long way from the centre of Sete and it's somewhat worn. Although the room was clean the corridors were never vacuumed during our stay. The hotel itself is a little rundown and worn. It's supposed to be close to beaches but don't expect a sweeping Mediterranean experience.
it was very friendly and welcomimg. our room was spacious and comfortable and as described on the site. Breakfasts were not value for money.
The location to the beach, parking facilities and standard of rooms. Excellent hotel staff. The drainage of the sink did not function properly.
Rooms were dirty!!!!
The hotel was in a decent location with access to restaurants and the port. Car parking and internet access was free making it a fair stop off on a road trip. The hotel was worn and tired looking. Our matress was terrible, forcing us both into the middle of the bed. Our room gave us a beautiful ground floor view of a car park. The restaurants in the area were plentiful, but significantly overpriced for the very average food. If you are set on the location then the hotel is an average choice, but certainly not value for money.
Good location as Sete is very busy in summer. Room was ok, but not outstanding value.
central location, good breakfast, nice staff. poor view from the back facing rooms, rooms are basic enough.
I was very dissapointed with this hotel, the location is not beside a beach that can be accessed, one particula bar staff at night was very rude and in general unfriendly I will not stay or recommed this hotel The welcome was cold, indifferent the night bar staff argured very strongly when I question the glass of wine which was served in a sherry type glass not even half full, the previous staff a very friendly young trainee had give us a normal size on during the full eveing. His attiude was not beliveable !
No problems - had stayed before and will be back again. Parking could be tricky - but available nearby.
Free parking The hotel is shabby and run down. The carpet in our room was filthy, curtains grubby, windows grubby, patio dirty, furniture old and uncomfortable. Outrageously overpriced.
spaciousness of room anf facilities generally, especially vicinity to amenites. a balcony would be nice
Great location. Lots of great seafood restaurants nearby. Plenty of entertainment. Pool. No complaints!!!
Wonderful location looking onto Port of Sete and close to all amenities No, but some would not like the hotel fronting a busy road. However it is opposite a working Port and on a route out of town. The rooms are excellently sound proofed
Nice to reach hotel close to beach, restaurants and the city centre
Very nice helpful staff. Room ok just a little small and basic.
Helpful staff accommodated my bicycle securely! Bathroom a bit tired - fittings loose, no shower curtain.
Very helpful staff. Located close to beach. 20 minute walk along seafront to the town. Car's parking is available. In allrespects a very good hotel. Conditioner are not available in the rooms and a very hot for the sleeping.
The hotel is very nice and comfortable. The staff, Nathalie and Didi, are very friendly, helpful and beautiful! Excellent location - close to beach and not far from city center. And good price with breakfast included!
Very welcoming, helpful staff. Located close to beach. Handy for local shops and restaurants. 20 minute walk along seafront to town. Very clean rooms and light airy reception. Breakfast outside on terrace. Traffic noise. No shower curtain over bath. Sagging mattress on double bed.
The staff was very friendly and helpfull. It was nice to have breakfast on the rooms balcony. It is extremly loud outside -impossible to sleep with open door/window and very hot and terrible with closed.
lovely staff, very helpful, free wifi is great, great value make sure you get room over reception if you want to use your laptop in your room.
The hotel is situated in a street where cars are not allowed. The hotel is newly furnished and very "design", but I wonder how the rooms will be in half a year as they are not really foreseen on intensive use in my opinion.
The staff and location make this a great hotel. The trendy decor is very retro. Superb location especially during the St Louis festival. Parking might prove awkward
Quiet room. Proximity of the market. Design took no account of customer needs.
We have been before and think it is the best hotel in Sete, beautiful and central with wonderful views if you get front rooms with balcony. Lovely setting in palm court for breakfast - french opulence and good staff. The tiny toilet - don't know how they could make them bigger but almost too small to use.
We stayed in a standard room overlooking the canal, wonderful views if you can get these rooms. The hotel is well situated and easy to find. The atrium is lovely and the breakfast excellent for 10 Euros. We would stay there again.
Relaxed old-fashioned charm. Staff were very pleasant and the dinners were excellent Decor was a little threadbare in places and a request to fix the bedroom curtains which were hanging off went unheeded.
great view from front rooms
The position on the Canal, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.
the magnificent atrium and the sense of calm it generated no
Very nice surroundings. It is hard to be negative, as the stay was so nice, but the menu in the restuarant was a bit limited, if you are not keen on fish. Also, the access to the parking lot is up a very narrow alleyway.
Excellent experience. Very Helpful staff, charming hotel as well as last minute room, so optimistic about other rooms!
The interior of the hotel was very well designed with a very interesting mix of antique and modern design. The restaurant was sadly closed on the day we were there.
Location in the center of Sete
The hotel was difficult to find. It was old and very shabby desperately in need of refurbishment. It was a long way from the centre of town. The food in the hotel restaurant was very poor quality - the meagre buffet was not replenished. We were unable to pay for the room with a foreign credit card. Not a good recommendation for the hotel chain.
Perfectly adequate, clean accommodation. Food good for the price. Staff mostly very good. Would recommend as being good value for money compared to others. Location is nopt inspiring, being in commercial area, but hotel is relatively secluded.
Only stayed one night and arrived late
Free Wi-Fi Old Furniture
Good facilities including pool area. Pleasant location handy to beach. (3-4 min walk). Nice room with some sea view if on front rooms. Reception staff (in particular, 1 woman) were diabolical. Everything was too much trouble for her. She kept saying "We have a problem" to any request. We realised that she was the problem.
near the beach staff not helpful, restaurant shut two nights,no english tv channels, room very dated needs maintenance, hotel has no one to help from 9pm till 8am,would not stay here again
Hotel is ok but they do not know how to conect internet to my lap top.
Excellent location - just two blocks from the beach at Sete. The hotel is about two miles from the Sete's harbor/canal area. Since parking is difficult and expensive at the canal area the staff directed us to a free parking area above the city center. Staff was frendly, helpfull and spoke excellent english. The room was large, comfortable, clean and had a nice view of the sea. We enjoyed our two night stay in Sete while visiting other sites in southern France.
The location was good. the level of comfort was ok. There is no attendance at the reception after 21:00. This would not have bothered me much if In addition I had not to pay a price higher than the one agreed at reservation time. I requested they reimburse me the difference afterwards, but they could not do it immediately. I have to call back again...
Staff gave us a wake up call when requested even though the telephones were not working. It was too far from the train station
The smell from the air conditioning.
As a 2 star, it had good value for price
Authentic French hotel - clean and well run - very helpful staff Pool not in service at the time of our stay
Very comfortable, spotlessly clean, loved the antique furnishings especially the bicycle. Excellent for overnight stay en route from airport to holiday resort. A little difficult to find in a strange town at night.
Nice atmosphere, good location, friendly staff
Everything was very clean and tidy. Minor re-decoration was needed in the bathroom.
Male receptionist very helpful and efficient. Good location near some nice restaurants and within easy walking distance of canals. Room rather small
Helpful hotel manager (Eric) giving information about interesting placs to visit and where everything was in the area. Eric went out of his way to ensure we were all happy and comfortable and spoke good english which was very helpful as we spoke very little French.
Good location, near train station. Pillows rather hard and too small.
Location, cleanliness, room size, room amenities. Master bedroom overlooking the street with no blinds, makes it hard to sleep when the sun rises. There was no wifi available, although free wifi is listed in the property features. You can only communicate with property in French and only through email or phone and response is not prompt so it makes it problematic when you have a question or request about the room.
The owner was very welcoming and helpful. Location is within easy walking distance of the centre. Room was musty, buit this was probably because of the torrential rain that day.
romantic atmosphere, french-style nice little hotel breakfast was quite modest
Old fashion place More TV channels would be nice
Friendliness and helpfulness of the man on the reception desk no tea or coffee making facility in room
Convenient location by the beach, nice but balcony with room.
nothing totally inadequate for 2 or 3 star beds very uncomfortble, poor storage space
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Eceryone, including other guests were very friendly and this made foe a super ambiance.
The location was very good. All the rooms have a balcony/loggia. The hotel is close to all amenities.
The kindess of staff specially Mr. Dorien and the parking facillity.
The location is excellent, the room was quiet, the bed excellent. The staff is friendly. The furniture was very low and uncomfortable to sit at the table. There was no trash can in the room and the one in the bathroom was not working. The hotel had no new ones to replace it. There are no hooks next to the shower and not enough bars to put the wet towels to dry.
It is not a 3star. Needs an upgrade
Very friendly staff, location is good and car parking onsite a bonus, breakfast was good for the money. Room clean and tidy if a lttle 'tired' - But all in all a good place to stay (Bit of a problem to find initially though).
View of the beach, hot shower and parking on site The hotel is tatty, faded and not very clean feeling - it needs modernising. It is overpriced We stayed on a Saturday night and the noise was something special - when the music stopped, the shouting and screaming started. Some of the french guests were moved to go out on to the balconies to remonstrate, with predictable results - abuse and car radios being turned up to maximum, so not much sleep for anyone until after 5.30 am!
Closed parking for cars: free of charge. Hotel staff very nice. No space for luggages.
I found the business like and the staff very helpful and very willing to assist in any of my reguest. I would certainly stay there again without any problems
Room was comfortable, Breakfast good. We were only passing on our journey, would not be somewhere i would choose to stay longer because of the location, but for the reason we stayed and the price it was very good. Shower not very big, do not know how a larger person would fit in
nothing, except that the room was clean reception closes at eleven, we were given a code number to get the electronic key from a machine (unlit and with unintelligible instructions), but not told we would have to use credit card; after 15 attempts we managed to enter the hotel, only to find an out of order drink vending machine and long ugly corridors, no lift; hotel situated in the middle of a discount shopping center, facing a busy noisy road; extremely hard to find (no road signs, not visible from anywhere); closed parking inacessible; tv did not work, no wardrobe, no space for luggage; very small room; and smaller rudimentary bathroom; no services of any kind; very expensive breakfast; railway station atmosphere in reception in the morning; dreadful experience, 1 star level
The service was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were well air conditioned, basic but good value for money. As we had no car we had to rely on taxis in order to travel into Sete and nearby beaches as they weren't really within walking distance. The hotel is served by a local bus service for those less lazy which connects to the surrounding beaches.
Troubled. wifi internet is poor
staff were friendly and helpful Did notrealise how far from Montpellier it was?
room at ground floor noisy (traffic)
it's rather close to the beach allthough you still need you car.(3 miles)once you're there, they have magnificant small restaurants/bars where they make the best seafood I ever had.
The hotel is in a pretty good location. There is a couple of bakeries right next door and a really good pizza shop next to the hotel as well. Not much to do in town but is right by the bus stop so you can get on and go anywhere. Also once we checked out, our train did not leave until 2330 so we had nowhere to go and the man let us put our stuff in his storage room, and he drove us to the beach because the beach bus did not run on Sunday. He also came and picked us up at a time that we gave him. All this in his own car! Then once we got back to get our gear he offered us a shower in his own shower!!! Great staff!!!!! The only thing I did not care for so much was the curtains...you can see right through them so there is not a whole lot of privacy. It is 4km to the beach so that was also a downside but not one to stop us.
The room was clean and comfortable with excellent air conditioning and nice bath. Hotel Vila was difficult to find and disappointing when we finally did arrive. The halls and there was an odd smell in the hallway. The location was a bit out of the way for us as bicycle travelers with only 1 nearby restaurant.
Attractive, clean and comfortable rooms and bathrooms, lovely setting on the sea, nice breakfasts, good value. There is nowhere to eat very close by, so it would be nice if the hotel could offer simple snacks at lunch or early evening, and also teamaking facilities in the room [you can't really go down to the breakfast room in your dressing gown to get tea at 7am]. Laundry facilities would also be good.
Beautiful location, nice owners, good breakfast, comfortable and quite spacious room and bathroom (only a year old).
Beautiful location, lovely room decor, terrific bathroom, great breakfast A little out of town, not the easiest place to find, does not serve lunch or dinner
This hotel was a wonderful place to stay. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The entire hotel is spotlessly clean. We had a very comfortable room with a lovely terrace and view of the sea. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Warm welcome; value for money; location; comfort of beds; etc etc etc
Nice staff, great breakfast, beautiful property, great value - could very easily walk to town.
The loacation and beautiful views
Breakfast on the balcony overlooking the sea.
Staff couldn't do enough for us
The location was fantastic. Receptionist very helpfull.
This hotel is only 5 minutes walk to the bay, and about 10 minutes walk to the restaurants and small shopping area. The pool was nice. The rooms were basic - lounge with sofas/beds, kitchenette (initially I thought it was a microwave too, but it turned out to be a grill), aging bathroom and separate toilet. Upstairs there was a loft style bedroom with two single beds. There was also a balcony. We are a family of 5, so we fitted into the rooms comfortably (2 upstairs, 3 downstairs). It was very cheap, so the drawbacks didn't bother us. It is really time for the hotel to have a refit. The bathrooms look pretty tired. The corridors could have done with a sweep. The biggest pain was having to give the apartment a basic clean before we left (or be charged). You have to leave the kitchen ready for the next guest, and sweep the floors. That is fine, but when you are travelling you don't have cloths etc. The only cloth provided was an ancient floor type rag. Overall, it was still comfortable if you want cheap accommodation for a family.
location, value for money no
Good hotel for travelliers with car
flexibility of staff accommodationm was poor and cheap (to cheap for the price)
Everything was quite what we expected The apartment was really small, but ok.
Reception staff are helpful and responded quickly to email contact and any concerns during our stay. The swimming pool is clean and well maintained. Rooms (studio/cabine) are very cramped for any more than two people with cheap, poor quality fittings. There is no air conditioning and this is uncomfortable in high summer. There was a persistent odour of cooking fat in the room (which includes a kitchenette). Overall a poor experience.
Good location and nice pool We would have like breakfast to be provided
the outdoor pool was good and well maintained. table tennis tables kept the children occupied. It was within reasonable distance of beach/shops bathroom was small
The security is good and the staff are friendly. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the shops and restauant. I think that it is convenient. No ventilation. Two of the mattress are not comfortable.
