The staff was excellent was greeted with a big smile and courteous service. The room felt a little dull but was a nice room.
It was close to the concert venue No breakfast. Charged a deposit for incidentals but the room did not have anything other than a phone and TV.
Friendly and welcoming staff The charge for parking. The noise coming from the pipes in the hotel. At 4am every morning the toilet would make this loud sqealing sound that scared me out of my sleep. I had to get out of bed just to flush it and make it stop
The room itself was nice and pretty clean. Could have got that at La Quinta for cheaper though. Hallways smelled bad, front desk staff unfriendly, $7 for parking, $11 for breakfast, bad coffee
The staff treated you like family and friends. (This excludes the lady who served breakfast...she was extremely rude and openly rolled her eyes and showed her disdain that we would show up at 10:30 for breakfast (even though breakfast is served until 11 am every morning). Chris was AMAZING!!! I knew if I asked Chris, he would make it happen. People who can afford a place like the Remington, generally do not like being told no. I can honestly say, I never had to worry about being told No at the Remington. If I wanted it, they made it happen. The woman who served our breakfast in the morning. She was extremely rude and openly rolled her eyes and showed her disdain that we would show up at 10:30 am for breakfast (even though breakfast is served until 11 am every morning). This woman told us to serve ourselves. Then she only brought out 4 meals even though I Ordered 5. Then she argued with me claiming I ordered 4. Why would I decide that one person doesn't get to eat breakfast? And then instead of making the meal she forgot to cook in the first place, she just left and never brought the 5th meal for my 5-year-old son. Her behavior and the way she spoke to me in front of my children will never be forgotten. It was rude and I hope that Remington fires her for her behavior. People do not go on vacation to be treated so horribly. Luckily the other staff at the Remington is so amazing and kind and polite that it completely overshadows that one breakfast (I didn't go to breakfast the next morning just in case she was working. I was headed to my dad's last chemo appointment and I didn't want to deal with any bad attitudes.) The Spa was out of this World Amazing! It was closed on Sundays (which I think is a mistake)...however, they will call one of their technicians and have them come up there just for you. I have stayed at close to 400 hotels in my life ... hotels ranging from Luxury to the Holiday Inn. Out of all the hotels I have stayed in, the Remington is the ONLY ONE that I will ever stay at in Shreveport, LA. I have never wanted to stay in the same hotel more than once (I'm a big believe in new experiences and new adventures and "YOLO"). The Remington has completely changed that mindset. I can honestly say, that I will never stay in the same hotel that I've stayed in before ... unless I'm in Shreveport, Louisiana!
The shower curtain rod kept falling when I was in the shower and hit me several times on the head. The faucets need some tlc in regards to cleaning.
