Pros: Wonderful place, and I'm looking forward to staying again. The location is amazing, and the common room with terrace has one of the best views I've ever enjoyed. The honour bar is a great touch, and there's a lovely wine shop across the street, so you can grab a bottle there and enjoy it on the terrace. Staff is amazing -- so friendly, and very helpful for things like restaurant reservations. The rooms are great; very traditional feel, but with very comfortable amenities. Breakfast very nice.

Pros: Everything was as described and more, but the truly exceptional aspects of my stay were the staff, particularly Maria Luisa and the magnificent view, both from my room and the breakfast terrace. I received a complimentary upgrade as I was the only guest for most of my stay during this low season period. Very clean and attention to important details. Nice toiletries, complimentary bottled water and fruit. Housekeeping was spotless and assistance with restaurants, even to suggestions for menu selection were spot on. This was a very memorable stay for me.

Pros: The staff was great, specially Davide. He was always ready with a smile, and was quick to offer recommendations - and they were good places to eat. He really listens to you - and remembers your request - and follows up on it! Breakfast was great! They have hot - and cold - and the staff was quick to refill. The hotel was easy to get to from the train station because there is a covered escalator/travelator, that you can access from the mall across the train station, up to the town! All the main sights are within walking distance. And if you decide to make Sienna as your base to explore other nearby towns, the trains and buses are convenient.

Pros: We loved the hotel for its decor, location, good size bathroom, friendly staff, breakfast choices, off street secure parking (at a cost of €10 per night) and our room had a balcony with table and chairs, so a bonus (weather permitting). Our room also had a kettle so we were able to make a cuppa. The hotel with breakfast option was good value for money and we would stay here again and would definitely recommend this hotel. There are obviously hotels closer but the walk into the centre was approx 15 - 20 minutes at a leisurely, comfortable pace so no issues. You should not be disappointed with the Hotel Italia.

Pros: A beautiful hotel very close to one of the gates to the medieval part of Siena. The room was pretty (frescoes ceiling/fireplace/window overlooking the garden), clean and comfortable. The bathroom was small but clean and warm. There was a variety of choices for breakfast and the room had windows overlooking the garden. It was a plus to have parking on the grounds for a small fee. A very cheery and helpful staff.
Cons:
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff breakfast view accommodating
Cons: I should have asked for a room with a larger shower

Pros: Location .....great price for what you get....very clean... wonderful staff
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel, clean, good breakfast, great location only a couple hundred yards or so from the gate into the old city. Staff was helpful.
Cons:
8.0 Excellent
Pros: General look of the place. It was elegant and well presented. Staff friendly, although confused our booking and gave us a room without a bath and then after discussion they agreed to give us another room. Generally very nice and close to main piazza. Nice thick warm towels.
Cons: Some of the bedsheet covers were a bit old and washed out and one had a small stain. The bedding was cold too as it didn’t have a thick blanket or quilt. The breakfast is only cold food and I think it would have benefitted from something more warm as an option.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything: super friendly staff & owner, comfort rooms with painted ceilings and superb bathroom amenities, nice location at the entrance of Siena castle, view of Tuscan hills and valley ...
Cons: No eggs for breakfast that was satisfying in general with superb varieties of coffee!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location easy access to city centre
Cons:

Cons: As we were gonna check out before breakfast time started, the receptionist offered us a take way breakfast the night before. Even though we talked to him TWICE about the time we would need the breakfast bag ready to go, when we left, the next day, the other attending receptionist said there were no bags prepared and he didn't show the slightest will to make amendments, like getting us some fruit or something. He didn't even apologize. After I asked, he got us 8 small cookies.

Cons: I was fine I'm an easy Traveller but I must say for the other customers that in my case the bed was not a real double but the single bed united just by the sheets so that makes u sleep on the single bed cause if u go at the center u will create a hole. Don't know in the other rooms. That is about just the room I had. About position I must say that it is true that is perfect if you travel with the car cause you are far enough from the center and parking is included but if you are with the bus or train I must say that from the station is not the best option cause you have to walk a couple km to the hot and then a couple to the center.

Pros: Great location in the heart of Siena. Staff was super friendly and helpful and took pride in their hotel. The building is a little dated but the rooms are comfortable and clean with windows and an air conditioning unit. The ceilings are beautiful, painted frescoes. Pros: Great host, who was very helpful with recommendations and we used the offered valet parking for our car. Parking in Sienna is limited and the distance from limited parking outside the closest gate was probably 700-1000 meters. If you don't need your car during your Sienna stay, the valet parking is a great option. The B&B occupies one floor of the Palazzo (Palace) and the room itself was large by European standards. Breakfast was very good, with lots of choices available. The building sits on a fairly busy street inside the town walls, especially in the morning with delivery truck traffic. Short walking distance from the Piazza del Campo and other Sienna sites. Our room was at the back of the building, so it was fairly quiet and had a great view outside the town walls.

Short walking distance from the Piazza del Campo and other Sienna sites. Our room was at the back of the building, so it was fairly quiet and had a great view outside the town walls.
Cons:
9.2 Excellent
Pros:
Cons: front room to the street is very noisy
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Not many rooms so a more a personal touch with the staff. Rooms are big and makes you feel at holiday in a fancy place. Staff is really friendly and helpful seems real and not faked.
Cons:
With a stay at B&B Pantaneto Palazzo Bulgarini in Siena (Siena Historical Center), you'll be within a 5-minute walk of University of Siena and Piazza del Campo. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and luggage storage. A train station pick-up service is available for a surcharge.
A stay at Il Chiostro del Carmine places you in the heart of Siena, within a 10-minute walk of Siena Cathedral and Palazzo Pubblico. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and multilingual staff. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.

Pros: We left Florence and drove here via San Gimignano which is very doable en route to Siena. The property is outside the historic centre which suited our needs with the car and driving is restricted in old town of Siena. There was a bus stop right outside the hotel with many options. We purchased the tickets from reception. Make sure to validate them on boarding the bus. We saw regular ticket inspections with people fined on the spot for violations. We taxied back to the hotel at night. The fares were reasonable. The hotel itself is a little dated but very comfortable. Our room had a little terrace which I’m sure is nice in the summer. Our air conditioning wasn’t working which may have been down to time of year (Oct) but would have liked it none the less as it was still warm. Staff were pleasant and Helpful. Siena itself is beautiful. We were so glad to have visited. More popular restaurants were booked out so try to book them in advance. We were also able to do a day trip by car from our hotel to Montepulciano Val d’Orcia and Montalcino with it’s beautiful walled villages and magical scenery en route.

Cons:

Pros: The receptionist was very kind and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.
Cons: 1. The shower pan was dangerously slippery, which explains why the drain cap was broken (people are certainly hitting the cap with their feet due to slippage). I suggest fixing this risk (I.e. replace the shower pan, and not the cap alone) 2. The scrambled eggs were unsavory. When I mentioned this to the staff, they found nothing wrong about them. However, three more people shared the same opinion. Maybe it was degradation from overcooking.

Pros: We were thrilled with this hotel, and found Guglia particularly helpful and friendly! It was the most comfortable hotel of our long week-end (four hotel nights in three places), and had a fabulous shower. The breakfast was wonderful, and the proximity to the Siena historical center was a dream (we did have a car, but I think we could also have walked). It had everything we wanted, including free in-room internet and a place to deposit our car. We would absolutely stay again and will recommend it.

Pros:
Cons: in our first room we had a broken window. therefore we changed the room were found more than two dozens of bugs. when we came home after dinner in the whole floor it smelt strange - maybe from the house canalisation. it is quite noisy as the highway is just a few meters away.
6.0 Good
Pros: No luxury but everything in its place.
Cons: TV screen too small.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We were thrilled with this hotel, and found Guglia particularly helpful and friendly! It was the most comfortable hotel of our long week-end (four hotel nights in three places), and had a fabulous shower. The breakfast was wonderful, and the proximity to the Siena historical center was a dream (we did have a car, but I think we could also have walked). It had everything we wanted, including free in-room internet and a place to deposit our car. We would absolutely stay again and will recommend it.
Cons: nothing at all
5.0 Okay
Pros: Good location.
Cons:
6.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good. Refrigirator in the room. Free coffee and some other drinks during the day and something extra in the evening.
6.4 Good
Pros: the cleanliness of the room and the huge ground for a walk..
Cons: very inconvenient to go into town if you do not have a car with you.. Note: i couldn't undo the no for the below question - would i recommend this hotel..i feel it all depends on the individual..for me it was the inconvenience of getting into the campos area..other than that the hotel was a good place for relaxing...very quiet and nice
6.4 Good
Pros: Parking no problem - unlike much of Siena! Excellent varied breakfasts.
Cons: We had difficulty finding the hotel - signposting poor - complex junction off busy roads. We would have welcomed a more detailed explanation of the evening dining arrangements
6.0 Good
Pros: comfort
6.0 Good
Pros: Complimentary coffee on arrival
Cons: Lack of coordination between reception and restaurant as to when it was closed or open!
