The gourmet restaurant and the pianist woud be considered more than 4 stars. Some of the staff at the restaurant, the porter and the maids make a good job. Limited in size rooms/baths for 4 star.Poor behaviour by the owner/mgr that deals with problems by avoiding client asked contact, even by phone.A few CHF more is more important to him than building a client relation. He has a long distance to go for 4star management service. To pay for a Dbl de lux more than the rack rate I believe it is illegal.
very comfortable, big and clean room, delicious french cuisine with nice price in half pension.
It was good access to other villages. In short it was center. Like the quaintness of the town.
Friendly service, quiet area, still within easy access to St Moritz
Food was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious. Room was too close to church bells which rang all night. Car had to be garaged which was costly and difficult to exit/enter. Bar was not well light and not staffed or used. General lack of communal areas/
breakfast I did not feel like staying in the mountains, apart from the bedroom, with wood and nice decoration, the lobby, living rooms, dining room were more similar to a city hotel than a mountain hotel.
clean hotel the reception staff
cleanliness of the room and fiendly staff breakfast can be improved
Kind staffs and good service for the guests. Good location of a nature and sports (mountain bike, ski, hiking and windsurfing). No extractor fan, so dewdrops were on the wall of a prefabricated bath room.
No words can do justice to the beauty of the landscape here. The room was charming and spacious. Extra beds pull out of the wall, but are extremely comfortable. The hotel provided passes for the mountain lift and buses, which saved much expense. We ate a beautiful grilled dinner on the hotel patio one night. It was great. No.
Upgrade to suite.
Everyone working at the hotel were extremely helpful and a pleasure to talk with. The rooms were very clean, quiet, and large. The food was excellent. A short walk to the ski lift or can take the bus.
Position, food, and the attitude of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Everything. Handmade accesories which you can get in the hotel were very nice.
Nice location and great apartment for familys.
Exactly what we required to enjoy a wonderful hiking week Room was a bit dark
The location of the hotel is perfect. The breakfast war really poor.
Quitness, friendly and helpful staff, inhouse parking facilities, conveniently located for visiting OberEngadine. Should provide dinner, though there are nice restaurants nearby, namely a typical Portuguese one (excelent food).
We were very pleased, the staff was friendly and helpful, and I have no complaints whatsoever
the buffet breakfast was enjoyable. The hotel's central location was also a bonus the fixed shower did not work and the basin taps leaked. There was no inroom tea facilities
Very afforable and nice appartments. Great for families and cooking your own meals. Lake views and proximity to center of town were also convenient for shopping and going out. Beds could be more comfortable. Hotel should have wifi access. Kitchen should come with some essentials fort cleaning the dishes.
Good location, free internet by WIFI, good breakfast, garage included in the price was a nice surprise
Fun, upbeat hotel. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.
The staff was friendly (you get a welcome drink upon your arrival), the hotel restaurant serves decent food. The room was clean and nicely furnished. The breakfast buffet offers a variety of breads, cereals, fruits, juices etc. Great to get your day started. I guess streetside rooms might be a bit noisy, since the hotel is located right by the street that comes down from the Julierpass. However, ours was quiet even though we took the "noisy room".
Julier Palace is a well priced and clean (but not luxury) hotel, staff is friendly and the Breakfast was nice.
The spa faclities - swimming pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, were very good and provided a relaxing environment after a day out walking in the surrounding countryside. The staff also were very helpful, particularly the concierge who made excellent recommendations for my stay and the reception desk who responded well to my requests. Initially I was concerned about the hotel's distance from the centre of St Moritz but the bus service makes it very accessible and the situation of the hotel is quiet with very good views. The restaurant appeared to be monopolised by those with half board arrangements and not appropriate for those like me who were only staying for a few days. The alternative eating place, the pizzeria, had a limited menu for my gluten free diet.
Value offered for price paid
Of the three hotel staff that I dealt with, one was cold and indifferent and the second outright rude. The room facilities were very basic. The location was not convenient.
The stafff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities (ie pool and jacuzzi) were very good and well used by guests. The buffet breakfast was excellent, plenty of variety. Jus one thing to note, that you really need a car to stay at this hotel because it is a little way out of St Moritz.
Paul @ reception could not do enough for us he was wonderful, plus the Pizzeria Restaurant was lovely.
Provide Gold Card for free bus, cable car and train transportation. 90/100
Breakfast was too good. Hotel location is very romantic. Location is far from Station.
We booked for two days, but I pick a flew, and it was veryold, wanted two stay only a day and had to pay for the booked time.
nice bathtubs no ac
The room was actually a great size and not too small at all for a couple to stay in. We quite liked it. Were were just there for 2 nights so maybe for a longer stay some people would like a larger room. The breakfast buffet which was included in the room rate was amazing! Nice pool and hot tub as well. The hotel was not right in St. Moritz which would be my biggest complaint, but I did not that when booking. Champfer where it is located is very small and not much was open in the evenings so there wasn't really much to do. We were also younger than most couples at the hotel. We are both 30 and the average age would be in the 50s I imagine.
Manager spoke to us in the bar inviting us to have dinner the following night in their retaurant... very personal touch. The conceirge explained a different way to return to Milan that he thought we would enjoy... copied maps and marked speciifc sites we should visit... above and beyond what I would expect no
