Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful. Attractively decorated room. Very clean. Nice details, such as bedspread and pillows. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which was kept clean and freshly stocked.
The room was comfortable & the suite was a nice bonus with the additional space. Everything I expected was in the room.
It was extremely quiet and PC availabilty to print out boarding pass no complaints
Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean. Breakfast options were good, waffles were great!
The rooms were perfect. A small but fully equipped kitchen (apt. size refrigerator, ceramic plates, real drinking glasses, stainless silverware, a few pans, dishwasher, 2 burner electric stove, microwave). Nice seating area with sofa (also pull out bed, but we didn't use) and chair, as well as a desk and chair, and ottoman w/ 2 side table. Plenty of lights throughout, ceiling and lamps. Bed comfy. Quiet place. Nice breakfast, and nice area to sit outside and eat (weather permitting). Good location. Convenient. MAID SERVICE AWFUL/Non-existent. We are neat people, we do not trash our rooms. Here's our experience: Day 1: We left a $5 tip for maid. We were gone all day, came back around 10 pm, when we entered the "bedroom" we noticed the pillows were in disarray, we shrugged off. But the bed had not been properly made. When we drew the coverlet down, we saw all the sheets were wrinkled and not smoothed out, they were just pushed around and it looked like we had just gotten out of bed and the maid simply pulled the coverlet over top to "make the bed". The dirty towels were removed, garbage was emptied, new towels in place. We let it pass. Not wanting to make waves. Day 2: No tip! We made our own bed (You're welcome). We were gone all day until about 11 pm. Before leaving in a.m. we left dirty towels on floor near bathroom sink, all together to make it easy for cleaning. All is well, had clean towels and trash had been emptied. We're happy. Day 3: No tip! We made our own bed, but left the coverlet off the bed to see if the maid would fix. We left dirty towels on bathroom floor as we had day before. Had some dirty trash from some takeout. We arrive back at our room about 9:30 p.m. IT HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED! WHAT?! Dirty towels still on bathroom floor. Trash in living/kitchen area still full. Trash in bathroom still not emptied. Coverlet in same position as when we left. We went to front desk. NICELY reported this. Desk clerk said it was her "third" complaint about the maid service that night. She said she would have her manager credit us one night, but could not provide any written documentation to verify. Desk clerk was nice, but I'm skeptical about getting the credit. There are several other extended stay hotels in the area, so not knowing your room is going to be cleaned, or even if it was cleaned PRIOR to our arrival is a HUGE problem for us. Also, on Day 3, when we arrived around 9:30 pm (on a Sunday night) we parked on side towards back, to the entrance nearest our room. There was a large group of people outside standing around a car and they were smoking marijuana (you could smell it). That did not make us feel safe.
short distance from downtown Cleveland
Located by highway Drive in got lost, signs weren't visible at night. We arrived and parking was limited and far from hotel, long walk in with tired toddler. They didn't have the room I booked with two beds, slept as a family in king.. Light was out in room, and the a.c/heating unit was loud and turned on and off all night. There must have been a kids hockey game because there were hockey kids running all day and night.. Very loud and hard to sleep because they kept waking my toddler. Shampoo smelt like hippies and the light bulb blew and got glass on the floor. The second day they came to change the first broken light bulb and had to changed the whole fixture... While my family sat and watched the over half hour process... The pool and hot tub was filled with rambunctious kids... While their mothers sat and drank beer... The sign clearly stated no kids in hot tub under sixteen... They were young... Like single digits... Rest past eight am was not happening. The walls are paper thin... The staff was nice.. But the stay was not... Disappointing for a crown plaza... Very disappointing
The breakfast that was included was phenomenal.
The staff were extremely gracious and tried to meet all needs. Not just the front desk staff but everyone we encountered in the hotel. They were a pleasure. The "systems" at the property did not work smoothly. Check in BASED ON RESERVATIONS THROUGH KAYAK did not work. The reservation THROUGH KAYAK was not accepted by the property's computer, despite print outs of the reservation information. It took more than 40 minutes to straighten out. Eventually, we told the staff to just check us in instead of having us stand around in the lobby and when it is straightened out, tell us. Another system that did not work well was room cleanliness -- this should be a 'checklist' task: before a room is logged as cleaned and ready for a new guest, someone should check to see that the towels are clean and all appropriate supplies are present. Something as obvious as a missing box of tissues -- an empty holder is not hard to spot. Then, when a guest asks that it be replaced, there should be a flag on the request with a system to ensure that the task is completed. It was not. The same with the facilities. The exercise room was missing items marked as present, such as clean ear-phones. The exercise bike was broken but not marked as such, suggesting no one on staff knew about it. These are all minor points but this is a facility that should not have these issues. They are minor but also very easy to address.
Rooms were awesome, place is beautiful, staff was friendly and very attentive. Typical hot continental breakfast, reasonable on site restaurant with great food.
From the greeting when we arrived, entering this fabulous room that I loved!!! It was such an awesome experience. The shower doors made a lot of noise opening and closing.
Clean and cool. Like the modern decor Room lighting was very harsh.
The staff was very nice and helpful. My room was comfortable and clean. All and all I was very happy That the hotel didn't have the option for a hot tub suite. Other then that everything was fine.
Modern decor, great price and very friendly staff. No complaints. Only stayed one night, but didn't have anything that I didn't like.
Room was quiet as I requested. Location difficult to find. GPS, etc. no one knew where it was. You need to know the address of the fitness Ctr in front of the hotel to find it. After spending 1 1/2 hrs on the road from Airport bar closed before our eyes.
Distance to elevator from check in was a severe problem for my wife.
The staff was wonderful. The rooms were outdated. The bed was not confertable. I have stayed in nicer hotels for less.
Delicious cookies! Friendly staff. Clean facility. A/C unit was noisy & woke me up several times. Rooms are not soundproof enough.
Absolutely loved the beds, the fact that you saw cleaning staff working and as a family we really enjoyed the pool and the breakfast that was provided in the morning (different both mornings we we're there). When we first arrived at the hotel, we were greeted with a wonderful front desk clerk who was very friendly and very helpful and the hotel was clean, bright and well maintained. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely put Hampton on our list of hotels that we would return to.
The check-in clerk was very friendly & welcoming! Our "suite" was actually just a regular room with an added several feet of sq. footage - with a sofa..
Shower head noisy Blower for AC vibrated and was noisy
The room was spacious and very comfortable. Couldn't get a complete receipt for the room upon check out.
Staying with pets was painless. Definitely would come back. Room had some stains on walls and cosmetic issues. I'm not sure if it's a designated pet room so they don't care as much but weird stains 6 feet off the ground aren't from pets so I'm not sure.
THIS LOCATION WAS GREAT WHEN i STAYED THERE 21/2 YEARS AGO BUT NOW THE HOTEL IS FILTHY.DIRTY STICKEY FLOORS, HAIR IN AND ON TUB DRAIN, URINE ON FLOOR AT BACK OF TOILET, SPOTS ALL OVER EVERY CARPET IN ROOMS AND HALLS. THIS HOTEL ACCEPTS DOGS NOW AND IT SHOWS ON THE FILTHY FLOORS EVERYWHERE. I WOULD LIKE A REFUND ON THE $700. PLUS i WASTED ON THIS ROOM. I AM SENDING SEVERAL PICTURES TO LA QUINTA SO THEY SEE WHAT A DISGRACE THIS LOCATION IS TO THEIR NAME.
Great Staff, especially the 'breakfast lady'.... we were several families there for a wedding in the area. It was a good place to stay with a nice pool for the grandkids.... : )
It was extremely loud with parties going on in several rooms on the floor. The security guy did his best. Staff was friendly
The staff was great, the breakfast at Shulas was excellent! Beds were comfortable. When we got to the room I noticed there was garbage in the closet and underneath the vanity in the bathroom.there was also extremely cold air coming in from the heating vent maintenance came fix that up for us and they gave us complementary breakfast and a free movie due to the room being dirty however the water took about 10 minutes to heat up at the sink in the bathroom the shower went from hot to cold and when it got hot it was burning
Very relaxed The last time I stayed at the double tree it was very nice I stayed on the 5th floor, the rooms were clean the whole floor was very nice. This time was horrible I stayed on the 3rd floor the wallpaper was peeling the bathroom look dirty. The feel of the whole room vs the room I had before was just so different. I say this to say I'm not sure if the higher up on floors you stay but my first experience was very nice my second time wasn't so nice.
It was close to the Cleveland Clinic, staff was efficient and courteous. The walls are thin, hot water wasn't plentiful or hot enough.
Very clean and organized. Loved that it had a nice restaurant and room service was available. To many kids the weekend I stayed there. They were noisy and running around all over the place.
The staff was the nicest hotel staff I have ever encountered. I had no issues with any part of the experience and the king bed was like being on a cloud. I'm not a breakfast person, however, my girlfriend is. Since their breakfast is $11.50+/person we ended up going to Denny's across the street. Everything else was perfect!
Good place to eat right next door so you don't have to drive far Remodeled was nicely done Remodeled but wallpaper falling down in areas and popcorn ceiling peeling off in the bathroom Cleaned up with a nice remodel but the low ceiling reminded me it was still just a shinny Clarion Hotel
Staff Was Outstanding, Room Was Nice, And Breakfast Was Delicious
Our room was incredibly comfortable and relaxing. Some of the best rest I've had after traveling for 2 weeks. The location made it confusing for an out of towner to access chagrin road. Right turn only at intersection??
Good size room,. Front desk staff was friendly. The parking lot was a little confusing; we saw more than one car exit out the entrance.

The location was perfect for my visit. I plan on returning. Nothing at all.
Excellent overall I wish they would have had a complimentary coffee for the morning my only criticism was the coffee in our room was pretty awful
Nice rooms, great feel to hotel. Excellent breakfast buffet.
The location and complementary breakfast were very good. I feel that it was understaffed. We were there 3days and nobody came to make up the room until we were ready to leave. We actually ran out of toilet paper! There was also a towel shortage in the pool area each day no matter what time of day you went in.

Extremely friendly staff, complimentary happy hour and breakfast, roomy suites with multiple sinks
The suite was very nice and the bed was fabulous. Its set up so the bedroom is far from the door which was eliminates noise and light from the hallway. Indoor Courtyard style makes it very noisy
Spacious room Check in staff was not client-centered, outdated facilities, bedroom tv functioned poorly
Clean, well kept, excellent value. Would definitely recommend.
It's located on a hill with other restaurants and hotels so walking from one to another could be a hindrance to the unfit. However "The Winking Lizard", a well known area restaurant, is directly across from the hotel.
Liked wyfy. Comfortable bed. Large bathroom. There was a hair in the bath tub.
Breakfast choices. Took way too long to check in.
The breakfast staff was friendly. The room was on the shabby side. Strange bathroom. Odd pillows. Damp and sketchy carpet. And an inexplicable charge for $1.08 added by the hotel. I cannot believe that this hotel had this Kayak rating. I will not put much stock in them in the future, nor stay at a Clarion property.
I enjoyed the overall cleanliness of the hotel, location, and hot breakfast. There was an incident with their computer system I'm assuming. The first day within the first hour of being in our room laying down, someone literally opened our door with a hotel key. They apparently doubled booked our room, so someone came in and that was awkward nonetheless. Then on the second day I noticed my card was charged for a full night stay when I had already paid for the hotel in full! I know they put holds on your card for incidentals but not for a full night stay. I wasn't even worried about the money, you just shouldn't have to deal with that kind of stuff while your on vacation. Its called vacation for a reason! So that was a mess and I had to sort that out. I must say the front desk lady was very helpful and polite in helping me with the situation. But its a little odd how the front desk manager didn't even contact me or apologize for the situation. ..especially when they have to authorize those fixes. I wasn't offered anything for the inconvenience and it was a little stressful, which it shouldn't have been. Very doubtful I will book there again after that.
The staff was very friendly and funny, no fear to joke and laugh with you, very polite. Room was very clean and beyond expectation. Check in and out was fast and easy
The staff is exceptional; the breakfast is very good. They provide a light dinner Mon through Thur.
I thought the breakfast was about average for the industry these days, the staff was better than average and that made it better all around. The room was nice and comfortable. The location was close to freeway access which helps in many ways and it was not so close that you heard the noise from the freeway. The staff tried to do make my visit a pleasure, even though the room was not as expected for a paraplegic to use. I am in a wheelchair and have been for over thirty years now. On the 11th of June I called the hotel directly because I received an email from them stating that my hearing disabled access room was ready for me. Since I am a paraplegic, I am going what the heck, so I called and explained why that did not work for me. After waiting on hold for about ten minutes I was informed that they had mad a chance and that my room would have a roll in shower and was on the first floor, When I arrived the room I got was not wheelchair accessible and was a hearing disabled accessible room. I fell twice during the week trying to get onto the toilet and that added to my pain.
lovely accomodations, indoor pool fun exhorbitant nonrefundable fees for pets
Very polite and helpful staff, even janitor greeted us and gave us a smile in passing. We booked a smoking room by accident and were given an accommodation at no extra charge. Didn't really check out the pool or free breakfast, so I can't really rate them, but for the price these were nice inclusions. Internet connection was pretty good, in our room at least. I usually have connection problems at hotels (especially cheaper ones). Overall pretty good stay. Worth the money. Not many significant complaints. Elevator smelled pretty bad. Other hotel guests were kind of rude, the place was filled with screaming children running around. Obviously not really a romantic getaway kind of place unless you're on a budget (like myself). Probably the worst thing was the lack of mini fridge in the room we were moved to, despite the smoking room having one. Warm beer = unacceptable!
Very conveniently located. Nice staff big comfy room and bed Mold above shower. Elevator smelled of ciggetettes and marijuana.
The price was affordable, especially for providing a breakfast. Staff was pretty neutral, not over the top nice nor rude. Hotel room was big and I liked that it had a fridge and microwave. Found someone else's hairs all over the bathroom floor shortly after checking in. Walls were paper thin and could easily hear our neighbors constant loud lovemaking. Bed and pillows weren't very comfy. Could deal with everything else for $50 a night but there is no excuse for a dirty room.
Location was convenient. Dirty carpet in room. Holes in the curtains. Drapes didn't close. Free breakfast was a joke. All the breakfast table were filthy. The tables and chairs in the corridor were filthy. The carpet in the lobby and the corridor we filthy. The staff didn't even try to be friendly.
The location was nice, right off the express way The pictures online didn't match the room we stayed in. First off, there was construction going on inside hotel. Renovations were underway and all the carpet and padding were outside directly in front off the entrance. The whole floor smelled of stale cigarette smoke and the furniture was all chipped up and old looking. Not a good room at all
Location very convenient to downtown Cleveland. Room was dirty. Some of our towels had already been used and hung on the shower curtain bar. Coffee maker didn't work either.
Location was nice right off of I-80. Quick check-in and check-out. It was extremely dirty! There were stains everywhere including the sheets, comforter, towels, and carpet/chairs. None of the "extras" (pool, sauna, gym, etc.) were functional and/or open. The hall stunk of dirty diapers. Breakfast was ok, not great.
Close to concert location, front desk was helpful organizing taxi's Was not very clean, elevators did not work - need a push start from the staff to get between floors, breakfast was boiled eggs, it was winter and window was open in the room when we arrived - about 40 degrees in the room
The size of the room was great. The sheets on the bed were very dirty. There were holes in the wall in the bedroom and bathroom. The shower wasn't clean.
It was comfortable, clean and the staff were outgoing and friendly
The room was lovely. Included fridge & microwave, comfy beds, clean modern decor.
They couldn't even give us a printed receipt or an email receipt. That's why I rated them as merely OK.
Great breakfast, comfortable common area, outstanding evening snacks with white wine. Would not give loyalty points because I booked through Kayak. I was still loyal, as I could have gone somewhere else. Their management team did so many things well, but missed on this.
WiFi worked. Able to print boarding pass at computer and printer in lobby. When booking the room, I was offered the choice to request a "quiet room," but was given the complete opposite. Was able to get 3 hours of sleep at most. Cannot even begin to tell you where all of the noise was coming from except definitely from the "vending" area across the hall, but it was constant. By 3am there was so much noise I gave up on sleeping despite having to leave by 7:30am for a meeting with a client. If you want to get more than 2-3 hours of sleep, do NOT accept room #104 (or any of the rooms on that side of the first / ground floor). And I never even received an invoice under my door in the morning, plus, on check in, my address was completely wrong - listed as a State 1,000 miles away from my work address that I provided when booking.
