The beds were super comfortable. Large room
We enjoyed the convenience of its location and the restaurant next door.
Nice room Breakfast is in a next-door diner, so forget about a bread+cheese option. Cereals contained sugar. A general problem in the us though.
It was quiet and made one feel very well cared for. The restuarant was more than adequate and provided more than the usual breakfast fare. No
We found the staff especially the reception very helpful and friendly. We were disappointed that we were unable to make international phone calls.
The Sonora Oaks Best Western offers a squeaky clean and well maintained facility at a very competitive price. The staff, to a person, were pleasant and eager to make us as comfortable as possible. A full and well prepared breakfast served at the motel restaurant is included in the room rate. The motel is centrally located in the gold country foot hills. I have no complaints.
Well located for a night between San Francisco and Yosemite. Breakfast is relatively poor.
- hotel is well located to visit Yosemity Natl.Park - services (reception, breakfast, wifi,..) are up to standard and friendly - - nothing to report
Close to my family gathering destination.
When are you going to ever get an elevator????? We've been staying here for 3 years, twice a year, for quasi-business/leisure and we're still waiting for an elevator. We like the size of the King suite and the staff are very nice. Also love the Pine Tree restaurant. Food is always good and love the coupons. Bathroom floor was never thoroughly cleaned while we were there. Saw the same dead bug on the floor all three days and the bathroom had a strange smell.
The room was clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and nice. The hotel had many facilities including a pool, free wifi in the room and free parking. The breakfast was good.
Convenient to Yosemite National Park
It was a cute location. The staff was fairly nice, but I have the feeling there was a cultural barrier. but the rooms had uncomfortable beds, and forget getting a cot. The rooms are very small.
trev and lynne. We stayed there for one night and found the room clean and comfortable, the location was great for our needs and the saloon next to the hotel was fun and the locals where welcoming, we would recommened the hotel for a short stay but their is not a lot to do in James town on a night out, so it is ideal for a stop over.
The bed was really comfortable! The desk personnel were very nice. It needs to be checked out, for a haunting/potergist. One couple from Denmark, after midnite had their dresser droors, opening and shutting, we had a glass window pane over the door, go light, and dark several times, late in the morning, an outside ceiling fan came on, and started making serious noise, I finally got up and checked, after awhile, and it was goiing, more than I have ever seen one go, and some of the lighting had come off and was laying on the floor. After I came back to the room, it finally stiopped. The desk clerk, was very surprised by all. the room was nice, but was small in the bathroom, bearly could shut,or open the door while trying to use the toilet. I hope no heavy people get this room. The T.V., is too low to look at, needs to higher, it is alomest lower then the bed.
I can not think of anything good to say about this hotel and would not reccommend it at all. They advertised continental breakfast included, which consisted of coffee and a biscuit, which is not what I expected.I asked about this and the proprieter showed a total lack of regard.
The staff, the room cleanliness the exterior - old, dirty ; very simple breakfast
Staff was helpful. Breakfast adequate. Room: comfortable. We returned to the Inn for the evening, only to discover there were NO parking spaces, let along any near our room. There were three trucks with trailers parked lengthwise, each occupying at least 5 parking spaces. We explained our situation to the desk person. At first she was at a loss as to what to do. Then she directed us to a spot near big storage-type containers...not a place I would have chosen. One other guest had to do the same thing. I was not happy.
Lovely big rooms that were very comfortable. I liked the building too , it was quite imposing Noise from the road, but we were at the end of the block.
Very nice from the outside but we won't go back there... It was very noisy; we heard the neighbours above and aside our room (located on the groundfloor); we could hardly sleep. We didn't appreciate our stay.
The desk staff went out of their way to accommodate my mother
i LIKED THE COMFORT OF THE BEDDING / AMPLE PILLOWS, COULDN'T BEAT THE LOCATION, WE COULD WALK TO OUR DESTINATION! THE PARKING LOT NOISE WAS A BIT TOO MUCH SO EARLY IN THE MORNING WITH WORKERS WARMING UP THEIR DIESEL ENGINES THEN HAVING TO TALK OVER THE NOISE OUTSIDE OF THE TRUCK, BUT I THINK THEY WERE GUESTS OF THE INN?!
Close to downtown shopping and food. Courteous staff. Window AC worked well but was noisy. Pretty quiet at night. Complimentary breakfast was poor......don't bother. Terrible mattress and the coil springs squeaked when you sat or laid on them. Towel/robe hook and mount fell completely off the bathroom door. Guess you get what you pay for.
It was easy to find, has a nice heated pool, has a typical motel breakfast, liked the town and the folks in town, very quiet, easy access to freeway, nice clean rooms, we got the two bed room which was very comfortable, bed was comfortable nothing to complain about... Staff are all very friendly, give you directions about nearby places to eat, very nice overall nothing much to complain about... some usual things carpets are not spic and span..
WiFi VERY slow. Almost unusable.
Very relaxing enviroment. Check-in reseptionist Willow was very helpfull. NA
Semi dirty. Very out dated. Breakfast could have been better.
Great location in center of town, clean not fancy. Refer and micro a plus. A/C shut off in middle of warm night. Bed leg was broken and nearly broke toe on it.
i think it was good location easy to find good over all.
good place to stay before entering the national park.Restaurant near by where good breakfast could be bought before starting out.Rooms better than expected.
It took more than an hour to drive to the valley.
Wifi wasn't working at some points, late at night worked pretty good
The motel had free wifi, an excellent location, it was very clean and had a great shower. There was complimentary coffee and tea as well as a microwave and fridge. The motel is relatively close to the Yosemite park (drive) and there is a diner next door. There is a 24/7 laundry place that works with 25cents pieces. There might have been some more blankets as it got really cold and I prefer to sleep without the heating on.
There aren't many hotels near Yosemite Village. This hotel was at an acceptable distance for us (1h to 1h30 driving), so we took it altough the price was rather high. Room was big and clean. There is only possibility for breakfast in a typically American restaurant nearby. It serves only unhealty and fat food, so make sure to have some food reserve with you when arriving at the hotel.
The hotel is in a great location right near the entrance for the park. Te staff were very helpful. The room was clean and the wi fi worked well. There is also a great diner within walking distance where we ate every night.
The Staff was very helpful when I needed information to get to Yosemite and told me I did not even need to purchase maps as they would be provided at the gate of the park.
Beautiful vintage charmer. Very well maintained, spic and span. Tiny bit drafty in the corridors but room was cozy under the big blankets. Gorgeous old town.
Great location Pigeons are a problem around the windows
Elevator Did Not Work
Very cute, nicely decorated, very clean. There were no towles in our room. Otherwise, very nice.
It was just adorable, everything from the wall paper to the tub.
The historic feel to it.
Close to restaurants, nice pool, friendly staff Our first room overlooked the highway and was noisey
The location is great, close to Jamestown, Sonora and the California caves. The hotel is super old, the toilet didn't work and the lady gave me the plunger because the maintenance guy had gone home and either I do it or wait until 8AM the next day. Showering is terrible, the water either comes out ICE COLD or SCORCH BURN HOT.
Interesting history, frinedly helpful staff. Wifi signal very weak in the room. Noise travels easily (outdoors / other rooms).

The room was large & clean & remodeled? We will stay there again! Nothing
The room was small but cozy
location was great. the people at the front desk were friendly the maintenance was not kept up. TV did not work was given the wrong remote at the front desk. we booked an additional room that was cold at night, heater did not work. pool had not been skimmed in days, a lot of leaves in basket. kids had insect bites
Not much Dead bugs on the sticky floor. The curtain was broken. The breakfast was minimal.
Staff was friendly Just rundown in general. OK for a guy by himself but I'd never stay there with my wife.
the least expensive hotel near Yosemite i could find, not the best hotel but u get what u pay, room was clean enough, the 'breakfast' was just some bread or a pastry the fitted sheet didn't fit well or was not put on properly

The fact that it was easy to find, and right outside of town was the only good thing. They staff was nice enough, but they all seemed to be drug users. We expected to have a nice room since we paid the higher rate for a suite, there was nothing nice about it. Everyone there seemed to be on drugs. someone who looked to be on drugs was knocking on our door when we got back, w/the kids there alone! Beware!
the location was the ONLY thing this hotel had going for it. We actually left early and paid for another hotel. I had flea bites all over my legs before actually going to bed the first night. The whole place was filthy. There were drunkards walking all night, one who tried to get into our room at 2am.
Their customer service and close to Black Oak Casino . It does need some updating on there air conditioning and heating, otherwise everything was OK

It's located in a quaint old West mining town. It is within walking distance to local restaurants and Railtown 1897. The showerhead was very low.
Friendly Personnel, Close to food locations No Breakfast. No elevator, we had an upstairs room and one in our party has trouble with stairs.
Pool Dirty bed sheet with hair on, no breakfast, outside door let us feel unsafe.
Quaint but newer. Nice location just off of Main St. Nothing
good stay, place works well for me, I have stayed there several times over the past few months; and always quite acceptable and convenient.
It was very convenient. We paid only $---for the room and it would cost an additional $50 to use the Hot Tub in the room, seemed kind of expensive.
Location, staff and they accept pets No
This hotel room was huge!!! They were so nice there too! We only stayed one night, but it was very clean and nice, and really close to Yosemite. The hotel was a bit old fashioned, but it added to it's charm.
This is a quiet reasonably priced hotel. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Right in Jamestown two minute walk at most to antique shops and food. I will sleep here again.
The customer service was excellent! They were the best part of the stay. The room is outdated, the comforter on the bed was stained. I had to use my sweatshirt to lay on so my upper body didn't touch the comforter and I used my laptop bag with a shirt over it as a pillow. The mattress had a dip in it, and the walls are thin.
Good place to kick back in Jamestown. Good restaurant's and shops close by.
very friendly people, small but very clean room, great bathroom!
Family atmosphere, very close to Yosemite Park
lovely hotel, great stmosphere, staff are lovely - only concern we booked it as it stated 10 mins from yosemite. it is actually 35 minute drive to the yosemite park -
Friendly staff offering personal attention; old-fashioned, comfortable room. Quiet. Ample, satisfying breakfast included.
A good breakfast Rooms were small. TV was smaller than a lap top. Hotel is over 100 years old and not kept up very well. Forgot to put light bulb in only lamp in room. Beds were single/twin size and quite high making it hard to get in and out of. Hotel needs maintenance
The staff was very helpful and friendly. Hotel was very clean. Price is a little high for the conveniences. Great location.
Great location, decent option for the money in that location but the customer service is extremely poor =. I have never seen such a rude and inconsiderate service. The customer service was extremely rude, screaming at the visitors. Towels were not very clean. Also, "breakfast" is a pot of coffee and a pastry.
Rooms stinky carpet worn out
the place was tidy, my service dog was welcome, good light breakfast, no hassle by the staff the carpets could have been cleaner, the rest of the room was okay
quiet, pool, convenient inadequate breakfast ending one hour too early
It was a convienent location and easy to find. We were not staying in Sonora, just passing through. It met all our needs for the night. There was no continental breakfast. We left the hotel at 7am and hoped for a little something.
We loved the comfortable 'homey' feel of the entire place. The room was large and not cramped at all. We will definitely stay there again!
Good location, quiet on a Sunday night. Good breakfast. Good value for area. Needs a good dusting and clear out the clutter of old magazines and books.
Nothing Many points Inaccurately described on website, building poorly maintained, housekeeping dire, breakfast was a joke and way over priced. Perhaps this was once a nice building however current owners do not seem to be doing any maintenance,
It is bad and could not wait for night to be over and never have free breakfast
convenient, close to our water activities, clean, just exactly what we needed for the night.

Clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly, knowledgable and helpful. Beds were comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. The $5 voucher for breakfast next door was great. I had the free, made to order one and hubby got $5 off what he ordered. Nothing
Quite The restaurant was not attached
They were making a lot of noise early in the morning, cleaning rooms, vacuuming etc.
Easy to find My bf dropped something in the hallway while going to the office to check out and the housekeeper called the office asking if we dropped something without telling any specifics and Coke to find out my boyfriends did indeed drop his new body wash/shampoo
Motel was good. Restaurant next door is perfect to get the day started.
The staff was great! They were very friendly and provided super info for our excursions. Nothing I can think of.
The hotel has a small cafe next door - The Garden Cafe and their breakfast was terrific. Very nice, helpful staff, friendly atmosphere and the food was terrific. The $5 voucher from the Hotel went a long way! The bathroom could have been a little cleaner - the floor needed a more thorough cleaning and there was a dirty hand towel left behind. Not huge but noticed.
