breakfast was big good and had good selection. I got a room furthest in on ground floor, almost under ground. The window was located directly where the taxis waits on the backside of the hotel and when traffic starts in the morning the buses also passes straight outside.
Good location, room and breakfast.
The rooms were modern and comfortable. Better than most other hotels in Stavanger. Ground level room wasn't the best but not a deal breaker.
On arrival the booking in process was very quick. On departure there were no problems getting a taxi in the morning which can be a problem at the other Radissson close by. The restaurant was too busy at breakfast time to get a seat without sharing a table.
It is very central for the town of Stavanger.....high spec hotel and it has a paying underground car park which is handy but very busy at weekends The hotel has noise on many sides but it is a city centre hotel. I find as lite sleeper......main road with traffic lots of the time, rooms over the tax ir rank where they coma and go allnite with doors etc. At the back there is a club with rock bands which play weekends and empty at 2am with associated noise.
Very good breakfast. Rooms well appointed and clean. Staff helpful
Location, computers in lobby, comfortable beds, hepful staff, nice loooking building The restaurant was not open which was a disappointment after our excellent meal at the Radisson Caledonian in Kristiansand. However, this turned out to our benefit as we were forced to go out and as there was a food festival on in Stavanger on the waterfront, this turned out to be a very enjoyable experience.
Although the hotel is located in town, I found it was well isolated and calm The swimming pool could be bigger and deeper
Position close to city center . Bath old and WC and around not clean ; frigo bar electronically controlled impossible to be opened from staff too .Room price too expensive for what offered .
The location in central Stavanger was good. I had a room under the roof, where the roof "cut off" half of the room. I could go upright to my bed. Also, the bed was extremely soft for my test, but I heard from others that their beds were better. (It is actually stated in the hotel brochure that every room has a different bed, and one should try different rooms in future stays.) Also, the room I had was very small, as was the tiny breakfast room.
Nice room and a a central hotel. Clean and god beds.
Nicely decorated cozy room. Great breakfast with variety of choices.
Clean, comfortable, good location and a fine breakfast. The bathroom, with its heated floor, was immaculate. There is no wardrobe and no drawers which is plainly absurd, especially as we stayed for four days; the much advertised fireplace should be replaced by storage facilities. The car park is £14 per day and, whilst not the hotel's fault, is a cost to consider.
THis was an excellent hotel. well located and the staff were very friendly and helpful and reallywent out of their way to make my stay most enjoyable. The facilities were excellent.
friendly staff hot
Hotel staff was very helpful and kind. The location is great. The breakfast selection is a little poor. The breakfast selection is a little poor.
Clean & modern with good breakfast selection. Hotel staff were friendly and professional. Decor was pleasing to the eye. Business room was much smaller than expected. No way to adjust fan on airconditioning only temperature. No face cloth / flanel in bathroom. Could not connect to wireless internet. No sugar provided in room. Need better check of what is missing.
Best Bed I have ever slept on in Norway by far! Could not get WiFi in the room and no hardwire Internet as advertised in the room.
The Hotel has a very good location in the middle of Stavanger shopping area and lots of bars and restaurants close by. The rooms are very small. I found it hard to find a suitable place for my suitcase. Batroom is also a little small. Breakfast restaurant can be very crowded.
Good beds, clean but you can see that the rooms and hallways are a bit (tired) time to do some renovation. 15 minutes walk to the center of Stavanger. They only served a buffet. should have had an a la carte menu
Reception staff pleasant, Room was clean and warm, shower / bathroom also clean and modern, buffet breakfast ok No restaurant in the hotel for dinner, reserved a standard queen room but was given a single bed room. No cabled broadband in room - had to use cable in reception to gain internet access.
The staff were extremely child friendly and accomodating. The hotel is rather old and run down.
Good size room Nowhere to eat in the evening. It is a 10-15 minute walk to town centre restauarnts
The room is very wide.Breskfast is very good. This hotel is far from station and ferryterminal. When I arrived at my room, bathroom was not clean.
Room was disgusting. Cigarette burns on every surface, not clean, not been decorated for many years. Bathroom looked like it was out of the 70's and the door had hole kicked in it. I asked for a change of room which I would happily pay for, and was told they were completely full, although around 20 people checked in whilst I tried to book a different hotel. Avoid!!!!
Friendly staff, reasonable comfort Very poor sound proofing in windows, I could hear everything on the street. Very few tv stations. Breakfast quality of food was poor.
Could check in around midnight without any problem. Very good breakfast with plenty of choice. Close to the airport, easy to reach by rental car.
Car park: close to the hotel and not too expensive. Room: it was certainly a luxuous hotel in the 70s, today it's just old and not that clean. WiFi: is an extra fee. Price: too high for such an hotel.
It was quiet. No noise, you could relax more. Didnt like the bathroom that much. And the room felt a bit crowded.
Nice design and staff very kind and professional
the TV was good, and a nice shower. Toilet paper was awful.
convienient to town centre and the office i was visiting and better value for money than other hotels nearby light switches in the bedroom difficult to understand. very difficult to get just the bed light to stay on without others, which meant getting out of bed to switch off later..
A great location with esay access to the main town by foot
very nice rooms, great for sleeping the keycard elevator is a bit irritating.
We have no complaints at all. Very kind staff, very spacious, luxury and silent rooms and sanitarian facilities. We've been in 5-star hotels as well, and some of them had worse and smaller rooms as this 4-star hotel. Absolutely recommendable !!!! No complaints. The price was not low, but if one visits Norway, one should know that it is not a cheap country.
Excellent, clean and spacious room with working space and refrigerator; nice staff; good location; excellent breakfast. Not exactly cheap, but you get fair value for the money.
central located but yet very quiet. very nice and helpful staf. Big cosy rooms suitebel for business and relax.
The location was perfect in the center of stavanger , the place clean , the staff helpful
room size, comfort and location restaurant closed at the weekends? very disappointed.
luxuary room.comfortble bed.friendly staff.breakfast was fantastic!
Choise of dishes atbreakfast, more than very good food !!! the kindness and helpfulness of the staff on the desk of the hotel. A spacious room with all furnitures and accomodations we needed there was a lot of dust in our room, not so very clean ! also a lot of dust in the other parts of the hotel (breakfast room) One morning our bed was not maked up
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good - a lot of variety. Enjoyed having afternoon coffee in the lounge.
comfort, atmosphere, service, breakfast, location no sign to find it, although we arrived by car we needed a taxi to find it
Breakfast was very good, the location was central, the Internet access was included in the price and fast enough for my needs, and the staff was friendly. The fitness room was really bad because nearly everything in it was broken. The rooms had plenty of lamps but they all had low wattage bulbs making it hard to read and write for very long.
In Stavanger for work, it had been a long day when I checked in, so I asked for a nice quiet room to relax a little. What a wonderful surprise when I got to my room, it said "Deluxe" on the door. So, great bedroom, lots of space, great to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room (not so common in Stavanger anymore). Also, perfect location and very nice breakfast. And really appreciated that when I asked for some honey at midnight (bad sore throat) it was brought to my room within 5 minutes. Thanks for a lovely stay. would have expected a shower screen instead of a shower curtain for a 4 star of this quality.
We only stayed briefly but the hotel was clean and comfortable. Car parking was around the corner in a public park and that was the only inconvenience. All aspects of the hotel and the visit were good.
Central location, very good breakfast, clean, free Internet. Friedly staff and the bar at the hotel served small tasty meals in the same pricerange as downtown Stavanger. The spa section was just a bubble pool and sauna. Although great view over Stavanger and free to use - without water in the pool, value is low. a better kiosk to buy papers, snacks etc would have been nice. At the breakfast that is very good I still would like stonger coffee, more kinds of bread, creamy scrambled eggs and why not some salmon..
Super friendly staff. Best breakfast around. Good value but don't expect decor to be substantially better than ikea.
Locality to down town Stavanger The Milk for the coffee...would prefer Fresh milk as opposed to satchets, but I can understand the reasoning of why.
Cleanliness of the room no safty box available in the rooms, no sleepers, no bathrobe
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was very nice, clean and well laid out
Pleasant and close to all amenities but very expensive. Breakfast was fab!
location too hot in the room
The front desk staff are very helpful ,i like thier breakfast are excellent! For me Thon Hotel Maritim is the best hotel for city trip and relax.Thank you.
clean, nice staff and location expensive, no bar and rooms were small...very small
The friendly and helpful staff The restaurant was closed Friday Saturday & Sunday Evening There was a lot of road noise
Location Problem with stability of toilet in room. Needed to be secured to the floor properly.
Room in general, setting/location, breakfast WiFi cost extra, the late check in time and the front desk staff's attitude, which mean't first impressions weren't good.
Free wireless internet. The room was quiet and well appointed. Bathroom could have been better
good breakfeast, city center, the upgrading to an appartment hotel 200m far from the main hotel, because the room was to small for 2 adults and two children, no extra charge
i paid for some drinks that i never have
The hotel has an excellent location, very close to downtown Stavanger. The breakfast is also very good. It is very clean, staff is very efficient and kind. The room is small, TV has a very poor selection of channels (I missed a lot the CNN International), the shower in the bathroom could be much better.
First of all, the staff was great ! the location was great, the breakfast was also very good,...so we liked everything about this hotel! a very nice experience here! no
spacious room. location very centre of the town. friendly staff. good breakfast.
the location is perfect
Easy booking, good central location, comfortable rooms Breakfast finished too early at 09.30, and buffet depleted at 09.15
The hotel has a good location and was comfortable. The front desk staff were very helpful.
Comfort hotel was centrally situated to all sites and hotel was clean. Hotel was incredibly noisy, especially for those rooms on the street. We were woken by buses at 5:45 and the bus noise continued past 23:00. Beds were uncomfortable and too soft and pillows were also too soft. Hotel staff could have been friendlier.
Free WiFI for all guests and included breakfast buffet - pickled herring anyone? Hotels in Norway are generally expensive and small, but this one was a good rate and comfortable. Excellent location in Stavanger!
Centrally located Very spartan. The sheets were clean but did have a small hole.
Too much noise from street/traffic at.night The noise as mentioned,We asked for a quieter room, which was not obtainable.
The hotel is in the middle of the city centre. The hotel seemed a bit worn. Elevators seemed very old. No shampoo or conditioner in the rooms. Quite expensive.
Breakfast is good, hotel staff is very kind. I read that some guests had complaints about the noise from nearby road. We didn't hear anything although the window was looking directly on the road. --
Free Wi Fi No bar or restauarnt
It was near the station, but not such a good area, felt uncomfortable. specialy at night
Excellent friendly staff and a small homely hotel. Fruit, tea/coffee and pancakes available during the day. Has an empty fridge for each room Located 500m from the station up the hill on a main highway so traffic noise is a problem. Narrow winding staircase with no lifts. No airconditioning and if you open the window intense traffic noise and fumes are a problem.
Booking was very easy, Check-in was also easy, wireless access (wasn´t too fast thou) Very bad accessability with baby stroller, very small bathroom: even for a child it was hard to sit on a toilet and adult had to be sideways since knees were hitting the sink (that was hard too since the walls were there so close both sides), shower curtain could be washed by you even once a month (it was very smelly), after shower the toilet door had to be closet otherwise fire alarm could ring: air wasn´t too fresh, breakfast didn´t show up until the last minute of the breakfast time, tv had all 3 channels available = do not advertise that you have tv in the room.
