Pros: The Bank Hotel was in an excellent, very centralized location. We were interested in staying in a hotel that reflected the old world character of Stockholm, and had a boutique feel to it, instead of a larger chain hotel. This hotel did just that. The check-in staff were extremely helpful and informative. The ambiance and decor were beautiful. The breakfast was amazing. You could choose the buffet, which was fresh and delicious and had many choices, or go with some tasty options from the kitchen. The serving staff were also very friendly, and the fresh brewed coffee is terrific. There is one main restaurant, and several bar/lounges on the premises that are beautiful and relaxing. One has a late 19th/early 20th century library feel. The other has a sexy, loungy, leopard-y vibe. The rooftop bar is slick and clean, with plush chairs and couches, and on a mild day or evening, you can sit outside and look out over the rooftops. The room itself was small, which is to be expected for many Stockholm hotel rooms. We had a 5th floor room with large windows and a nice view. The bed was plush and incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was clean and updated, and the shower pressure was good and strong, and had great smelling toiletries. Would very much recommend the Bank Hotel.

Cons: The room was without any drawers, so we had to move the coffeemaker and the mini-bar drinks and snacks around in the armoire to accommodate our clothing, which ended up working out well. The shower has neither a lip, nor caulking at the bottom, and we had a difficult time figuring out how to avoid soaking the bathmat and the bathroom floor.

Pros: This is a stylish hotel. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The bars and bistro downstairs are first class. The breakfast has a reasonable range but the staff in the morning are delightful. Our room faced the rear of the hotel, overlooking very quiet apartments and screened by a large tree - we were able to open the windows and had a very comfortable stay.

We arrived very late our first night, and we just missed the closing of their kitchen. Luckily, they have 24 hour room service, and they even comped us our meal, which was really generous. They also sent my postcards for me for free when we were checking out. And breakfast buffet is top notch! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Pros: Stylish and comfortable rooms. Great location, next to Central Station and within walking distance from Gamla Stan.
Cons: Breakfast could have offered more choice, and was overcrowded. We weren't inspired by the restaurant offering so ended up going out for other meals.

Cons: The room we got was barely adequate in terms of size. Apart from the few steps to get past the room door and the bathroom it was well nigh impossible to take more than two steps in any direction. There was no proper storage space. There was a strange copper tubing arrangement on the wall. There were hangers on it but we couldnt figure out how to hang anything of any length on it - and who wants the content of their wardrobe on permanent display? Otherwise the only item of furniture for clothing was what looked like a small ottoman. Stylish but not much practical use. It might have been OK for an overnight trip but we were booked in for three nights as part of a ten day trip - so we had packed clothing accordingly. The hotel has decided not to clean rooms for those staying for more than one night for “ecological reasons”. Uh-huh! Pull the other one! The accompanying reduction in overhead cost will be purely coincidental, I suppose. However, the room was clean and the bed comfortable and the bathroom was excellent.

Pros: The hotel Location is really convenient . Close to the Arlandd express and you can walk to the old city center in 15-20 minutes . I loved the interior and the concept of the hotel . The staff was friendly. The Market restaurant was good for the breakfast and the dinner ( food and wine were delicious ). I recommend to visit rooftop bar and enjoy amazing view

Cons: My first flight has been delayed and I missed connection. I called the hotel to inform them that I will arrive only the next morning. On arrival I was able to drop my luggage in my room but warned that breakfast was only included for next morning. I slept there 3 nights instead of 4. At check out I have been charged for 4 nights. This is uncorrect.

Pros: My pre-paid SIM card went wrong during my stay in the hotel. As I don’t understand Swedish, it’s not possible for me to call the service desk for help. The concierge with two golden keys on his collar helped me with that and called the service hotline on behalf of me. It took quite some time to get it fixed, yet he was nice and patient all the time. Thank you so much!

Cons: Overall our stay was very comfortable. Only a few minor things the hotel needs to look at. The lighting was quite dark; the drainage of the bathroom sink needs an urgent clean up as the water took quite a while to go through the piping. The toilet lacks of flushing pressure due to the aged building, we quite understand that, therefore, a toilet brush would come in handy. Also a friendly reminder to replace the towels as they are quite wore. The breakfast was excellent, the cook were super friendly, however the Monday staff of breakfast area need to "wake up", as used dishes were piling up tables, we had to remove them ourselves, there was not much "service" compare to our Friday, Saturday and Sunday experience.

Cons: The bed was absolutely horrendous. So very uncomfortable and hard as a rock. All beds are the same, as I moved rooms after a night that I got literally zero sleep. Might just be me, but I cannot stay here again because of the bed.

Cons: The majority of my issues were with the cleaning staff at the hotel. Several times we had to ask for them to bring us soap as they did not replenish the toiletry items we had used each day. Also, we had to call them to clean our toilet bowl after they had done the room already because it was clearly not cleaned as part of their regular cleaning. Pretty gross. Robes were not replaced when the worn ones were taken to be cleaned. Extra towels were brought to the room upon request but then cleaning staff did not replace used towels with same number of towels, so we had to keep calling for more. Really bizarre.
In terms of the free wi-fi in the lobby, it was extremely slow when many people were down in the lobby using it. Lastly, I know there was a heat wave happening when we were there but the room would just not get cool enough, very hard to sleep dripping in sweat. Also - a bar that closes at 12:30 or 1? really odd.
The concierge. Ok, first day he sent us to a restaurant that was closed. Then we told him we were headed for the Icebar one night and he did not mention at all that we needed a reservation. Very poor.

Cons: The receptions I met on the other hand were not that professional and good. They didn’t behave rude, yet you can notice their impatience. And I got the feeling that those who make reservation via booking.com are treated as second class citizens.

Cons: I stayed at the hotel for two nights after landing Stockholm. Things went quite okay for that stay and I booked the same hotel for another three nights before I took the return flight. I checked in at night, went bed directly, and found other person’s hair remained on bed! I was in a bad physical condition, so I didn’t argued with the hotel. But this was really disgusting! This is not supposed to happen even in a hostel!!! Highly doubt if they have changed the linens after the previous guest checked out.

Cons: Room faced into an alley with no view. Small issue with free toiletries where housekeeping replaced a bath lotion with shampoo so from the second night on, we ended up with 2 shampoo tubes.

Cons: Staff not too friendly but direct. Loud construction noise in room from 10am until 430pm. Hotel is mid renovation. Calls to front desk was met with a cold... there nothing that I can do. There's always something you can do to make your guests less upset. Hotel should be upfront with information and knowledge about the construction. A business traveler who is out of the room during the day would be less upset than we would be. We weren't too upset because our child didn't wake up but if he did we may very well be as we are jet lagged and the child needed to sleep. But notice would have allowed some possibility of planning.
You may get an older room from the 80s. Carpets were dirty and worn in our room. The room decor color scheme did not age well.

Cons: The girls from the reception are not interested in you. They don’t tell you things about the hostel (breakfast etc) and about the city Stockholm during check in. and during check out they don’t ask “how was your stay”. So that is the reason why I am only complaining on the internet. After I gave the key the girl continued something else. They didnt clean the bathroom/toilet on one day, the other days not good enough (still hair from others on the wall etc, dirty toilet with the same dirt from the morning in the evening). The beds are really bad, I slept in many hostels but during this stay I had a headache after the first night till the last day and also pain in the back. Wouldnt complain about it during the stay because I felt not very welcome. Normally I’m always positive but for these days, no. Happy that I go home! Really liked the city but this hostel ruined my trip.

(though I booked the medium size room with window) 2) Very bad smell from bathroom 3) We even didn't get a soap. I think four start hotel should at least provide a soap. 4) It was cold in the room, heating was not working good. 5) When I asked the receptionist to help us, she apologized and promised to send the person for problems (2, 3, 4) but nothing happened 5) Receptionists. Nobody cared about our problems. Even when we had conversation they just were turning to other person and starting talking to him.

Cons: The towel/floor/bed et al. in the room is a bit aged. It was freezing degree outside on that day, but no heating in the room! The air condition kept pushing cool air into the room and it can't be stopped. I switched the control button to the warm side but it was not changing anything at all. I could have called the service but the good thing was that it was luckily not so cold in the room.

Cons: The breakfast area felt limited in seating places. If you came after 8 (on the weekends) it was already hard to find a spot. The madrass was quite soft and it felt like I rolled into the middle of the bed, which would be uncomfortable sleeping with two people (I stayed by myself in a double bedroom).
