I actually went looking for this property because i remembered staying here with my parents 40 years ago. The place is largely the same and it was a trip down memory lane, so to speak. Strasburg is a lovely town and the Inn is quaint, although some of the fixtures are getting a little dated. Still, it is a very nice location and a very friendly staff. The view of the farmland is lovely. My wife and daughter were reminded of a Methodist Church camp we have visited before, although this is not quite that rustic. You won't get the heavenly shower or bed that high end hotels will offer, but it is clean, comfortable and cozy. The only thing that was a problem was our reservation was for two rooms with Kings and we were initially given 2 rooms with 2 doubles. They were able to move us for one of the rooms. Only a slight inconvenience. We also made the mistake of staying at our table at the restaurant (outdoor dining) way after dark. It got a little buggy. Not like a swamp, but more than we wanted, so we went inside to finish.
The room was very spacious and everyone was very friendly. We look forward to staying here again!!
Great staff, clean and location is perfect! None
The hotel itself is very quaint and charming, and fits in with the surroundings in a beautiful setting. Our room was very comfortable, and extremely clean. I loved our patio, and our jacuzzi. The staff was very pleasant as well.
Updated and clean, nice look and feel. The staff was so friendly and made us feel at home. No
It offered suites where most hotels in the area didn't. Also it was the most renovated hotel in the area. We were denied at first early check in even though I called twice to make sure. Also the complimentary breakfast is a joke for a place that charged $--- per night. The breakfast should not be called breakfast but continental snacks. It was insulting.
Nice, clean, in a good location. No
The beds were comfortable. There was a door to the balcony. I like access to outside air which most hotels have unopenable windows and no balcony/ Also many hotels have very hard beds. The pool and hot tub were larger than most and perfectly maintaine Nothing
It was simply fantastic! We enjoyed everything and the room, staff, atmosphere was above all expectations! Nothing negative at all. Will definitely go there again.
This hotel very nice. Clean and the staff was very friendly.
Quaint hotel to match the area. Friendly helpful staff. Quiet room. Clean!! Loved everything about it!
The room was very nice, clean, bed was comfortable. The restaurant was nice and convenient and the food was good. The pool/hot tub were located in a separate building! We had to walk OUTSIDE across the hotel parking lot to get to the 'indoor' pool! It's winter! I had selected this hotel based on the indoor pool & we didnt even use it. Very disappointing!
It was in a good location. I twas nice. Overall it was a nice hotel.
Room was comfortable, clean and cozy. Rural setting is very nice and quiet. Heater was high in a corner. Took a little bit to warm up room evenly.

Location, price, clean / comfortable room, with good restaurant across the parking lot. Coffee mwork.in room didn't work. Day two got a replacement but next morning it also did not work.
Hotel was in a lovely farm area, no hustle and bustle of the shopping areas. No noise from traffic or anything. Beautiful to watch the sunrise over the farms. Great little playground! The only thing is the queen bed seemed more like a double bed.
Location and price Beds were uncomfortable
Staff was very helpful , great location !!!!
The location and the staff. We have been going here for years and it has had many upgrades in that time. The housekeeping staff is so helpful and friendly. You meet a lot of nice people there. if you are looking for the Amish experience this is the place.
It was in a perfect location. The staff was very friendly and room was clean. Nothing.
Nice quiet, quaint, hotel in amish country.
Clean, quiet and out of the hustle and bustle of the traffic. Needs to have a grab bar to get out of the tub, especially for seniors.
location, out in Amish country close to some of our favorite shopping. price, nice clean big room w/ frigerator & microwave and nice furniture w/3 full beds great deal the sink/vanity area in the room and not part of the bathroom. one bed out of three was old and not real cormfortable
It was a relaxing location and the view made us feel at home.Staff is very friendly.
I location was great and my kids loved the pool. Breakfast was hectic and the items were limited to basically mufffins, cereal, toast and yogurt. I called the hotel about room avalabilites and was told they were fully booked. As soon as I got off the phone checked kayak and they had a room available. When I checked in I asked if I could stay another day and I would pay whatever the rate was. They told me I would have to check out and check back in. So I did what any intelligent person would do, I book a different hotel at a better rate. If I had to check out anyway, what's that point at pay their rate?
The cleanliness and the staff was very friendly and accomodating.
Extremely clean! Newer hotel, spacious rooms, great price, excellent location to attractions, great breakfast (free). N/A
Location: right in the middle of this nice little historic town, and the heart of Amish country, only 20 minutes from the town of Lancaster. Bathroom was exceptional for 2-star: clean, newly-renovated. Loud, rumbling/squealing noise overhead one night, had to run AC all night to drown it out. Public spaces smelled of mildew. Bath soap was sticky and flimsy.
A pet friendly motel that has a great back area to walk our dog safely! The staff is very nice and the place is kept extremely clean. This is our second visit and look forward to being able to return soon!!
Location was good. Service was patchy, night attendants were helpful and polite, day attendant not so much. Facilities could use some TLC. Breakfast did not include eggs or meat.
Big room with a safe and refrigerator. Under construction, lots of dust in the first floor. Suction motor in the Bathroom very noisy and anoying. Internet was offline most of the time. The man in the front desk didn't really care and didn't do anything to solve the problem. Very poor brackfast.
Well placed near to the shopping outlets and nearby eating places. Very small breakfast eating area, only space for about10 people. When we were there, there were bus groups ( 50 people ) all trying to eat breakfast together.
The pools were great, the restaurant was amazing, the location was perfect. I really enjoyed the tour of the Amish farmland that the hotel offered. I wanted to watch the hot air balloon go up and as soon as I opened up my door--there it was. No.
We were in the Pool Building, it made for perfect stay. Weather was horrid. Didn't have to go outside to the pool & hot tub. Enjoyed looking at the wind driven rain outside. Everything was perfect & it's located next to the Bird in Hand Restaurant. Nothing not to like. Centrally located to all the attractions, next to a great restaurant with wonderful food, the staff was courteous and knowledgeable. Room was very clean with comfy beds, nice TV. Towels by the pool, A game room & workout room
It was clean and conveniently located. There was a lot of construction going on at the time which did impact our stay. No breakfast included but there was a reasonably priced restaurant on the premises and a 20% discount on it. The construction (above) and the price was high.
Quaint exterior appearance, but very modern room. Restaurant and stores on property. Location near all stores, etc., yet also very near rural scenic area. Store and restaurant closed on Monday.
Location to restaurants, local shops and museums Very small bathroom (almost no room to run around); sink located in room proper and very small counter space.
The breakfast buffet was wonderful and included in price of hotel. The pictures on the website did NOT AT ALL look like the room we stayed in.
Loved the restaurant! The food and service was good! The rooms had been renovated but just with a coat of paint and new flooring. It he a nasty feel to it. It had a musty smell.

It is a really neat place with a down home atmosphere. The bufet breakfast is top-notch!
Clean, comfortable beds, breakfast was delicious. Nothing.
Next to Theatre Room was small for the price I had to pay.

Price not worth the old room
3-5 minutes to Sights& Sound Theater. Food was great @ the RESTAURANT. Crawling insects in the bathroom, bedsheets like they were not changed/clean.
The inn was very nice We thought when we made our reservation that we were staying in the inn. When we got there they wanted to out us in the carriage house which was a separate building away from the pool and everything else. It smelled terrible and we asked to be moved.
Clean, nice atmosphere, good complimentary breakfast Better if they provided drinking water , milk/creamer and sugar in the room
I have no complaints other than the room carpeting needed a good shampooing, but everything else was nice & clean. I would definitely stay at Best Western again but would do it more often if they ran some discount specials. Their location was great and many amenities. Staff went above and beyond and I was shocked at their breakfast and how much was included. It was by far the largest breakfast spread I have ever witnessed offered by a hotel.
Hard beds and they had used some kind of room freshener or cleaner that burned my eyes and nose all night.
We stopped on our way to visit colleges in DE and NJ. It was very convenient and friendly. Coupons for breakfast the next morning right next door and on our way quickly.
Rocking chair porch, country furnishings, and friendly staff make this a very pleasant place to stay. This was our second stay at this hotel and we will probably stay there again. Beds are a bit hard, but we slept pretty soundly anyway.
The only thing that I had requested by telephone was 2 handicapped rooms with ramps together and when we arrived they were not what we were given, however, the hostess did arrange for these rooms but they were not together. After we got our rooms we were pleased and happy.
The concept of staying in a caboose overnight is very appealing, and when you are traveling with 3 toddlers, this place offers a family caboose that has one double bed for the adults and four bunk beds for the kiddies- VERY CONVENIENT and FUN!! Outside the caboose needs some rust repair and new paint job, the complimentary fly swatter helped me kill two huge flies, but otherwise, no bugs or other issues whatsoever.
We had a marvelous stay at this bed and breakfast. We would highly recommend this establishment! The rooms and bathroom are beautiful, comfortable, and immaculate. Robert, the innkeeper, is helpful, friendly, and a gracious host. The breakfasts are sumptuous. We will definitely return!
