Location, services, facilities, comfort The food was average -and flies were on the cakes.
the view on the bay, room very clean
Scenery, hotel building. Put my daughter and I in a room with one bed.
Nice grounds and lobby Rooms are small, no a/c, food is so-so, rates are exorbitant, would be better off at any of the lovely b&bs in Tadoussac
It is a very beautiful hotel with friendly environment and colourful surrendings. Room was quiet and clear, staff were excellent. I think it is the best hotel in Tadoussac.
Meeting people from several countries Puddles of water, much water, in driveways. Improve driveway drainage.
Reception Staff was top class, wireless internet in lobby, room was clean and I guess ok for a couple of nights There three dining options ... but no real simple a la carte dinining , We went for the gourmet restaurant which was good but way too sophisticated and pricey ... if you want lobster go to the fishery dining at the entrance of the village, internet PC in the lobby is a struggle to get access to; staff at bar and concierge were hopeless
Clearly, the hotel has a long tradition and it is good that it is being maintained. Also, it was easy to book a whale watching cruise and the transport to the boat was appreciated. The staffing at the Reception Desk is not adequate. The 3 or 4 times I used the desk, I had to wait a long time before I could speak to someone.
Very nice property, good restaurants and good location. Very nice view over the St-Lawrence River.
The breakfast (which was included in the price) was very good. There was free parking and internet which was also a nice extra. The room was clean and it was nice to have a patio access to the backyard. The bed was uncomfortable and I believe that, even though they say that it was supposed to be a queen size, was a double. The bed was soft and my husband and I did not sleep very comfortably in it. The location was not ideal - it was a fairly long walk from the core where the cafes and whale-watching boats depart from.
We liked the friendliness of the staff, cleanliness of the room and especially the gourmet breakfast. The location was fantastic as well as the view.
Location, Price, Quietness, Good front desc service No
location Room was too small and No telephone inside room.
Very clean and close to Tadoussac's amenities. Very bare bones. Toilet paper and soap was very cheap.
the specific room we got was very large, nice breakfast, helpfull staff with reservations of boat trips (whale watching trips), very small bathroom, noise from the mail road (not at night so it doesn't diturbe your sleep)
We thorougly enjoyed our stay at this very victorian style b&b. it was very homey and very clean. Large bathroom. Very unique decor and extremely comfortable. We would be very happy to recommend this hotel and will certainly stay again . It is located in the citedel away from the noise of the main streets. No car need ed to see everythiing you need. to, located very close to the Grand Allee which is a very happening street with many wonderful restaurants. Parking is at a premium so it is recommended to book parking if required.
Pleasant room (almost like a ground floor of a small cottage next to main building - accessible directoy off the balcony). Good buffet contintental breakfast (i.e. mainly sweet things, but plenty of choice) The hotel is directly on the road (a steep hill) down to the 24 hr ferry crossing, so there was a bit of noise from trucks coming up the hill in the middle of the night - though the double-glazing minimised the impact.
The location near all facilities in the village. The comfort of the beds, very poor and the noise of the trucks waiting the ferry. I think, il is not a 4 stars, but a 2 stars. "de luxe is abusive"
From other motels in Ontario this one from Quebec looks to be very good. First of all, don't forget this is a motel. So you will not get the same facilities like a hotel. The dinner is not included in the price. The one you can have at the motel's restaurant is pretty basic. We went there with 2 kids (2yo and 4yo) and it was relatively ok taking into consideration it was just for one night. Be careful, room n30 doesn't have wifi at all. So if you need Interned offered by the motel, ask for another room.
The rooms were lovely and beds were comfortable. It was relatively easy to find and the hostess was very friendly. Although she worried her English wasn't great, we understood each other just fine. She served a full hot breakfast. The night was quite warm and there was no air conditioning. However, there was a ceiling fan and with the window open, the room cooled down. You do have to climb the stairs to your room so pack lightly.
Host was very kind and friendly, and let us use her fridge and kitchen table for other meals. Our 2-bed room was very tight.
very nice supportive staf, personal contact simple but fare
I liked the view from my room. There were only two choices for the breakfast menu.It was very expensive for what was served. They wouldn't serve wholewheat bread.Continental breakfast: 1 croissant, 2 white toasts, small slice of watermelon, of kiwi and of orange, small glass of juice and coffee: 6,95!!A lot of bread! not balanced menu.
nothing small cramped room, depressing decor, bad furniture, run down, on main road, no view. owner refused to cancel booking as we did it through Booking.com. We only stayed 1 night yet paid the price for for 2.
Nothing really .much too noisy to location next to the port entrance. trying to slleep was a night mare. will certainly not return. No wifi although advertised.
The river and mountain view was beautiful. Nice to sit at tables in front yard and relax. The hotel had a good cooked to order breakfast. Waiter was very efficient and pleasant and bilingual(Eng. & Fr.). Location was best thing-walk to excursions, hiking, town. The room was very spartan, but functional. Had to go to front of hotel in yard to get wifi to work. Ice given out in tiny cup. One t v station.
early morning noise outside (trucks)
