What are the pros of staying at Rena's House?
Great location, great rooms, great value! Cleanliness Quite Spacious Unique design. The bar downstairs offers good breakfast. Large, clean room with a small kitchen, ready for coffee, tea, hearing plates and refrigerator. Very good location in the heart of the city with very reasonable prices, very good value for money. Refreshing design, the roof garden is superb & the room is quiet. Cool, artsy Berlin style place with a lot of great details. Location was great, in the middle of the night life and quite close to the beach. Great spacious comfortable room with excellent staff and convenient location. Our room was clean and had the perfect amenities. Comfortable bed, air con worked well, good shower, nice kitchen. Staff were lovely and gave great suggestions for hip, trendy restaurants and bars. We loved our stay and will definitely return. The location was great, you could reach the main areas by a walk of 20/30 minutes The apartment was cosy Good Liban restaurant next the house. Location was unbeatable - short walk to everything! Staff was friendly and room's very quaint and artsy! I think every room has a vinyl record player as well. Basic amenities such as soap, shampoo, and hair dryer are available in the room. The location was perfect. It was surrounded by restaurants and bars. 5 minutes walk away from Florentin, midway between Jaffa and the promenade. Self check-in was easy and we loved the record player. The bed was super comfy too! Definitely one of the best locations to stay in Tel Aviv! The room number 01 was great - spacious, quiet, with air conditioning and a private kitchen. We rented the bicycles from the hotel twice and it was the best decision ever - to get to the beach and ride around the city, considering that there are bike lanes everywhere. Location, decor, bed. Great location and excellent staff, friendly and very helpful went the extra mile with a smile. Fantastic place to explore cycles are excellent for touring the city Staff on reception, so helpful. great style and unique, comfortable, spacious, very clean. It’s so good and lovely that I rate it twice for the 2 reservation. Location was perfect. The place is great and the staff was wonderful. Great location… clean room.. nice sized shower with extra towels available.. kitchenette fully stocked.. Fun hipster location. Friendly and accommodating reception.. double pane windows for soundproofing bar downstairs . reliable wifi. free luggage storage. The location was perfect for our plans, meeting point for tours, Jaffa old town, Levinsky Market, etc. Great selection of restaurants and bars around. Bedroom was big and comfortable, quiet. The decoration is really cool and they had some photography exhibition. Nice point to have the record player in the bedroom. Location was perfect. Kitchen had all the equipment needed for cooking (incl. olive oil, salt, pepper, filter/capsule coffee, drinking water). Our room and the entire building was very artistically designed. The common area has a vinyl collection where you can borrow any record to your taste and play it in the record player in your room. Rooftop terrace area was very enjoyable, especially during evenings when the air was cooler to enjoy your drink/food in open air. Staff was positive, cheerful and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here.
What are the cons of staying at Rena's House?
Noisy bar downstairs. Noisy due to metro construction. VERY noisy till midnight because of the bar right downstairs. 4 floors with no elevator There is a popular, noisy bar on the ground floor, the room is equipped with double glass windows but it's not a 100% working solution. Israel is expensive and especially Tel Aviv i would expect that during these difficult times, prices should be lower. there are no tourists now. Tourist accommodation in Israel should consider more the local customer. The price could be lower, I think. A noise from the night bars was a little bit disturbing. Lighting in the room didn't work (next to the bed). Only ceiling lights are not enough for the evening time. Otherwise everything completely ok. A lot of noise from the outside. No elevator. Bathroom could have a refresh. Our room was facing a small inner place with 100 AC devices that can get pretty noisy. It was old and dirty. Not easy to have a parking for the car. Nothing much to add. The bikes we rent were not perfect (a couple of flat tires) but the price was not super high and we have been warned that the bikes had some issues. No laundry service unfortunately and the outside turns into a party strip on Thursdays and Fridays - with members of the public holding birthday parties on the rooftop. If that’s not your vibe, give it a miss! It is loud but this area is not a quite one. No water to drink, bad bathroom and not tidy in every corner. There is a huge parking problem, we had to pay 120 shekels for parking one night. The shower was fine, but could do with a little remake / some tweaks to make the whole experience even better. A bit of noise from the downstairs bar. The bathroom had a weird smell. The fire alarm rung twice while we were there, waking us up both times. As there was no one at the reception, it rung for a long time. Noise may be disturbing, but if you get there to wind down - it should not be a problem. We were staying on top floor, above which it is the rooftop. During our stay, there were a group of travelers staying in the same hotel. They went to rooftop every night. There were movements of chairs and tables all the time from rooftop until 1 am which was noisy. The shower facility is old and feel like falling down. But it was not a big issue for us. Very minor things that didn't really affect our overall stay but might be worth it to mention for improvement - * Kettle in our room needs to be replaced - there are calcium deposits and quite dirty. * Shower area is a bit run-down - might need a little refurbishment. I wish we stayed longer! The bathroom felt run down, the toilet wasn't clean and the shower smelled. no Elvis in the record library.
