My sister and I chose this hotel so we could go to the Rock of Cashel. While it was too far to walk (about 13 miles) the daytime receptionist called us a taxi, which arrived within five minutes. The staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions. The location from the train station (about 1 kilometer).
The food at the wedding was the best thing Room was bad, view appalling, smell coming in the window from pool. No phone in room, breakfast form ignored on door for breakfast in room. Fried breakfast was small.
I was delighted with the hotel on arrival; very friendly and efficient staff at reception, and also in the bar. I got very nice barfood, even though it was getting to kitchen closing time, and the room was clean comfortable and pretty much all I'd asked for. I enjoyed the pool (18 metres!) and also encountered very helpful staff there. All during the conference, and carvery lunch the quality and service were great. At check-out, the same efficient, friendly service was evident. Unfortunately the breakfast was rather poor- big plate with 2 deep-fried rashers, two deep-fried sausages, an egg left under the heat lamp too long and a tomatoe. That to me may pass as a cooked breakfast, but not as 'full Irish' as advertised. This was in stark contrast to the meal I had the night before and the lunch that followed that day. It did not help that the male waiter at breakfast was rather brash and rude, leaving me standing as I tried to enquire about breakfast. I observed that it was not just a dislike of me since he treated other guests the same. Pity, since the staff the night before, and for the rest of my stay were brilliantly professional and super friendly!
Nice welcome, covenient to where I needed to be Bed very uncomfortable
Unable to shower due to lack of hot water.
The location was good and the staff were friendly. Nice, clean, comfortable rooms. Better signage to guide a guest to the Hotel would be prefable.
the total experiance could have had a bigger breakfast selection
very comfortable, convenient for where we wanted to go, great stay no
Scrumptous breakfast, comfy bed and friendly staff The shower was a little hard to use... took a while to handle it!! Only a minor thing... everything was great I must say!
The staff were very friendly and efficient
Rooms were nice and clean. Well furnished
The bar and meals are excellent, and the staff are very friendly and helpful at all times. We arrived back from a party at some time after midnight and the night porter very kindly made me a hot port himself at the bar. This is service you don't find everywhere! The furnishings have changed since the last time we stayed there and we didn't find the bed as comfortable or large as before. There were a few things missing from the room - but the receptionist did replace them very speedily when she was informed. On the whole, any problems are quickly resolved at this hotel!
old world ambience Breakfast in the bar. I expected it in the dining room. Also breakfast was very mediocre - e.g. I had to ask 3 times for fruit and then one person brought a rotten banana and an apple and another brought a bowl of canned fruit cocktail
We used the hotel as a base to meet up with our daughter and we found that there was no need to go any further. Lovely rooms;good bar and food; very helpful staff. Didn`t like the freezing fog in the morning, but the sun came out later.
rooms were cold
The staff at this hotel are excellent, I cannot think of friendlier or better service anywhere in Ireland. I would recommend the hotel to anyone
All very good Nothing, everybody was very customer orientated. wee done
i liked where it was situitated and staff were very nice and and hotel clean
Value for money. The demeanour of the receptionist was not the best, as the first contact when arriving, a smile or two might be good. When I eat, I prefer staff not to be polishing and cleaning around me.
