Easy access to station, value and comfort for money and very friendly and helpful staff.
the room, bathroom hot food stops at 10pm, would be better if this was later
It was good value at the weekend rate and very conveniently located near to East Croydon Railway Station.
Good room, short way from railwaystation
Very comfortable, the food was so good, and the room was very nice. The staff were rude.
Free upgrade to Exec Room Bathrooms are I bit dated
Location, spacious rooms the isolation between rooms is very bad, my neigbours were very noisy all night long, that woke me up several times at night
The staff are welcoming and do there best to help. I did ask for additional towels which I never recieved and keeping a average room temperature was difficult tin the cold weather.
The two large beds. The slow reception staff and Jacuzzi was not in order when we went to health club (although we did go within an hour before closing)
Okay hotel. Busstop with lot of buslines outside the hotel. Quick and easy to go to trainstations in Croydon that has good comminication with Gatwick airport and the rest of London. There are som unnessesarry minor faults around. That gives a shabby impression. The hotel should employ or hire a caretaker that could fix minor faults in the rooms.
polite staff, plenty to eat for breakfast
Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was super. The room was very small and the bed was hard.
Free car park, clean, warm room with tea/coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, t.v., phone. An exceptionally good value for money hotel in a very convenient location. A selection of four sink/ bath plugs in a clean and well lit bathroom! We have stayed at this hotel several times now and for a budget priced hotel, it really can't be faulted. There was no lift and we were on the second floor, quite a struggle up the many stairs with heavy suitcases. The continental breakfast, although adequate for myself and my husband, might be considered by some to be a little meagre.
This hotel was ideally located for our reason for being in London which was to visit a relation on hospital admission across the road. Easy shopping and good transport connections were bonus. Less than optimal breakfast arrangements & choice.
Clean and decent enough for a for a cheap one-night stay. Easy connection to Gatwick (10 minute bus journey to East Croydon and then 15 minutes on the train). A bit dingy in terms of decor.
24hr check in desk and convenience of location Noisy neighbours! Walls could do with being better insulated.
Clean, staff polite, if non conversational. Breakfast was about the poorest i've ever known Toast, ham and packet cheese. That was it Coffee was excellent, and plentiful, as was orange juice
nothing main entrance looked good room no 112 was right down in the basement very small and dirty would not even have a cup of tea there,4oclock in the morning the alarm went off triad to phone main desk phone not working fire escape out side our room had a big lock on it went to main desk to ask what was happning he said it smoke alarm dont worry we pack up and come home very tird and with the hump
free car parking, most of it, not 15mins to central London, every floorboard squeeked, paper door Nos,
The price of the hotel. The price of the food in the hotel.
I do like staying at the Jurys Inn. I have stayed on two other occassions.
I have stated at the Jury Inn's on a number of occassions. I do like staying there. If I do go else where I do compare Parking is the only problem.
Nice reception area, great location, friendly staff who allowed me to book in 3 hours early The room was tired, carpet was very worn
It was a very pleasant stay and a lot better than I was expecting. Your staff were friendly and very helpful.
location close to public transport shopping centre and high street clean and comfortable room with all mod coms no
The hotel is nice. The rooms are clean. It is close to the train stattion. It is a real value vor money.
The flexibility and helpfulness of the staff - eg. Room service not normally provided, but an exception made when it was noticed that I was pregnant, and a meal was brought up to my room. A lovely gesture.
room was ok, basic standard breakfast area a bit on the shabby side (stained carpets and chair upholstery)
Its access to east croydon station and london Where do I start? The carpets were torn in my room under the beds and when you sat on the bed it went flying across the room. Not enough towles in the room only 2 for 3 people, when I asked for more we got them only for the cleaner to take them away before we got to use them,tv was not tuned in, we were there on holiday yet the cleaners knocked on our room door At 8 everymorning.the tables every morning were dirty yet the breakfast was ok but far to expensive for what u got. The staff were good.
The staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful!
Good rooms, terrible locations of hotel! Locations was bad, meaning outside was really scary. Especially at night!
Helpful and friendly staffCloseness to train stationBreakfast included Shower barely warm enough
Clean, easy, comfortable, and outside London congestion. no
Friendly, very clean & comfortable and being able to park was a bonus, extremely good value for money. Breakfast was greasy & cold, and our table was not cleaned from the previous people, we went down for breakfast at 9.30am, there were no other clean tables available.
The location is good, very near to the tube station. Rooms are satisfactory according to the price. The staff on the reception was too rude and asked for full payment at arrival, although this was never mentioned earlier. We stayed there on the weekend and the music of the local pub was too annoying and we were not able to sleep
the room was clean, there was no hassle at reception everythig was in place. the room smelled a bit musty it needed airing especially as they knew guests were coming in.
Het is een eenvoudig hotel. Onze kamers waren schoon, bedden waren goed. Prijs was in goede verhouding met kamers
The staff was friendly; I had a parking space; the immediate access to the tube (Central Line) and main roads for a quick get-away; the use of the WLAN; the English Breakfast; the room was clean; the bed was comfortable; the easy access from London-Stansted airport. Overall, I had a really nice stay and would come back anytime. That the bed rolled away when leaning against the wall to watch TV (just a minor thing that can easily be fixed by a stopper).
Great value and breakfast included in the rate.No aircon but windows opened OK. No parking available in hotel grounds - forced to park in public car park 500 metres away. Because windows opened for air the traffic noise was quite audible as room face the main road!
Very conveniently situated, close to tube trains, buses, shops and restaurants. Greatest boon for me was having a car park. Stayed on a very warm Saturday night, and was unable to keep the windows open because of the noise from the cocktail bar and night club.
The hotel was situated close to the venue we required. The hotel room was tired, dull and not all together clean. The room was booked as a double but we recieved a room with two single beds pushed together with 2 single duvets instead of a double.
it was good for the money. i didn't like the tiny bed
Easy access to the tube Car park, could be cleaner, third floor room and no lift, no jaccuzzi
Convenient. Reasonably-priced. Lack of staff at Reception
We stayed at Hilton for 10 days in a junior suite, the room is huge! Especially by U.K. Standards! Very lovely staff. The hotel is being renovated, our window didn't open and our heater was stuck on high. They fixed it quickly by giving us a fan and sending maintenance first thing in the morning.
Excellent breakfasts Asked for single beds not available. Rooms not cleaned untill afternoon No clean cups. Staff had a lot of difficulty finding a room for us until 3.30.
Relatively cheap Nice and helpful front desk staff Dirty & Run Down Very uncomfortable beds Hike to the train station
Lovely, comfy bed Expensive restaurant.
Despite requesting non feather pillows and duvets due to an allergy, both were present on arrival. Finally resolved at 00.15.
I stay at the hotel at least twice a month it is convienient for London and Home Counties. On this occasion the room was not serviced I had to wait 40 minutes order a cup of tea in the coffee shop whilst the waitress just stood talking.
Pleasant spacious room, friendly staff, good buffet breakfast No hot water in the morning (shower cold, bath lukewarm)
The hotel was central to my requirements for an appdeal hearing at Purley.
Hotel look very good
Nothing actually.. Had 2 change rooms due bad bed..( after complaining twice) Next room was close 2 lift and could hear everything from people going past to even the lift beeping. Shower's Hot water was never hot even after turn temp 2 50..(in both rooms). Very Disappointed Shower nt hot even at 50. Had to complain twice about bed before anything was done. Every complaint should be registered ,address immediately if possible. Its all about customer service....It's the Hilton after all...
Size of room, breakfast choice, good staff. The air-con did not work properly.Making the room too hot.
The wedding reception. The room was freezing when we arrived because the radiator had been turned off!
Taking into account the really cold weather the heating was adequate in our room. We were part of a wedding party of approx 33 and did not feel the staff dealing with breakfast could cope. The plate was hot but the breakfast cold, There was not sufficient toast to accommodate everyone and no second top up of of tea of coffee was offered or brought to the table. My most disappointing full English breakfast and some of the full English was missing. After all there were no other guests other than our long table so not that many for staff to cope with.
staff were good for the wedding the hotel rooms were old and not of modern standard. Rooms were very dry and humid and i got ill after staying. No water or access to fridge in room
The staff were very welcoming and attentive.
Quiet setting. Few guests Noise from adjacent room
Very good restaurant, good selection. Nice location/views Had to ask if we could change room, first room had a big crack on the ceiling and brown gunge around the cornicing, not very nice! The rooms were dated, especially bathrooms. However 2nd room was lovely bigger and nice out look, moved us without any problems. This wouldn't stop us from re-visiting
We were locked out of the hotel on our return at midnight
genral up keep of hotel needs to be addressed leaks, paper coming away and breakfast was awful
Size of the room and comfort level Careless service at reception and terrible service at breakfast. Room good price, extras too expensive.
The hotel is in a surprisingly nice location and the standard of the room was excellent. The front desk staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. The food was really poor and let the hotel down. Both the evening meal and the breakfast were more like the standard of a budget hotel. It's a shame because this could be a very good hotel.
Quiet and peaceful, good setting Breakfast room was rather cold - mobile heaters were brought in.
The food was fantastic. Truly great. The specials were fantastic. The chef came to to the diners to make sure that everybody was happy, was really impressed and surprised with the food. In general the staff was very helpful and nice. The hotel décor is old and needs updated, but it didn't bother me. Old hotel.
Walking distance to London subway (10-15 mionutes), next door to gas and Tesco supermarket, plenty of free gated parking, best price around for a London area hotel. No air conditioning, and city noise is loud when window is open. Rooms are very small, no chairs.
Quiet pleasant area close to rail and bus transport, and shops. Very nice decor and clean. En suite shower cubicle/bathroom, very nicely tiled & clean. Comfortable bed. Pleasant & helpful management from the owner and his wife. Shower taps unit needs attention, also the en suite door which doesn't close properly. Pillows rather flat, could do with thicker foam top pillows.
Good positionfor my work Food and bar price`s extosionate and so we don`t eat or drink in the hotel.
All of the staff that we encountered were very friendly. Reception staff were helpful in responding to our requests for information and services. The spa facilities were clean and gave us an opportunity to relax. The hotel was well located for the nearby rail station, which made it convenient for a day trip to London. It was very good value for money. The only thing I would include here is the noise from outside traffic intruding into the room.
The owner was the lovliest person I have ever met. The location was great close to station and buses and yet very quiet. One of the inconvenient was the breakfast not included in the price and you had to go out to get a breakfast . Also the room was quiet small.
Pleasant stay, comfortable room. Quite noisy guests upstairs.
Close to the New Years party I was going to. Most importantly, very clean.... Heating had switched off when I arrived at 10:45pm Electric shower thermostat was too sensitive. Either very hot or freezing. Once adjusted it worked fine but it took me a long time.
Shower facities, room warm, and adequate hot water. Parking facilities, no pre-warning that free parking was only from 5.00pm until 9.00am
Very good value for money.Felt like staying in my house. None.
Friendly staff, comfortable room Booking system could be improved
If ur looking for a quiet cheap place to stay with an easy 17 min commute into london then stay here. The owner was helpful and pleaseant. No frills but the price was right. Was clean and tidy. No breakfast although it was advertised. No real drama though.
The owner was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast advertised when booking was not available.
Cheapest available No breakfast option (unusual for a guest house). Wifi didn't work in my room.
I was running late for a wedding so was not able to check in until later that night. The hotel owner stayed up for me and was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The following morning whilst waiting for a taxi I had a great chat with Percy (the guest house owner) about his history and career as a saxophonist. Brilliant
