The place is really extraordinary, the whole concept with the wagons adds an extra super cool twist to the stay. Its walking distance to the center of the town that also happens to be AMAZING! WOW I am so comming back next time I am in Colombia!

Pros: The place is antique and very quiet. Breakfast is outdoors and food is very good. The rooms are neat and cozy.
Pros: Location and cleanliness fantastic! Modern colonial.
Cons: The room we stayed has a stained glass window located on the interior staircase & breakfast area. You could hear sounds of breakfast and people on the stairs. Boutique location so there was not much disturbance, but I would stay again in a different room.
Pros: The place and the service was really good. Also the breakfast.
Cons: The room space is too small
Pros: The hotel was awesome, nice, clean and the staff people were so kind.
Cons: Parking lots
Pros: Location, quiet place, near Paipa and various typical villages of Boyaca region that can be easily visited
Pros: The bed, pillows and linen were super comfy. It was nice to have morning coffee in our room's balcony. The breakfast was great, so typical. Administrator's (Leidy) assiduity and kindness were awesome, so typical from Boyaca's people also.
Cons: We did not dislike any thing, but if Samay Hotel want some improvements I can suggest to lower the mattress base about seven cms.
Pros: - Clean - Good bed (a bit too high from the floor). - Nice restaurant nearby. - Guarded area
Cons: - Rooms are very small, For a couple maybe cozy, but with two kids it is like staying in a dwarf house. - The place is in a tourist park where all kinds of local village styles have been copied. Fake but okay. - We hardly slept as at 1am the neighbor started playing loud music. Browsing through his collection of local tearjerkers. Soft, loud, louder, soft again. We asked him from the balcony to stop, but it had the opposite effect. The guy finally stopped at 4:15am... This park has guards patrolling but they seem not to care. The manager was surprised when we told her later. Weird as the loudness of the music could simply not be have been unnoticed, At one point my husband had put toilet paper in his ears... Although the manager was very nice and truly apologized, a hotels primary function is to get some sleep, and that did not happen. - We think the place is overrated and overpriced, but in Duitama itself there is likely not much better.
Pros: Location and kindness of the staff. Cozy comfortable rooms.

Pros: Homy, pretty, comfy, with the most adorable guest who will tell you a lot about his country! The garden is beautiful and its all very calm and cosy. The area is very convenient.
Pros: Owner is friendly and accommodating when he's there.
Cons: You have to call the number on the door when you arrive, which can be frustrating after a long travel day, as the owner is rarely there. The last couple blocks to the hostel can feel sketchy at night as well.
Pros: Spacious room with private bathroom, got cleaned every day. Also a very clean kitchen with everything you need to cook your own meals. Laundry service was cheap. Very kind owners, who gave us many tips and answered our questions. They even forwarded something to our next hostal that we accidentily had left in the hostal. Great hostal with a good vibe!
Cons: Only two minor bumps: the hot shower was only hot if you turned it on half way, otherwise it was half warm, half cold. And the shared living room could do with more comfortable couches :p
Pros: The guest was lovely, I was feeling just like at home! The hostel was super clean, pretty, comfy, in a pretty area (amazing graffiti) close to the museum. The garden was lovely... I spent 2 nights there and would have spent many more!
Pros: I really enjoyed my stay in la cazahita. As there haven't been a lot of quests it felt a bit like home. The hostel is very clean and well equipped.
Cons: However, showers weren't hot, rather warm. And for some reason the owners did not want to make a fire although they had a really nice oven and it was freezing cold. Slept with three blankets so at least the nights have been warm :) would come here again!
Pros: Beautiful garden, good kitchen, nice owner who gives you a lot of information, room is cleaned every day, laundry service.
Cons: Living room could be more comfy, nice owner only speaks spanish.
Pros: As almost usual in Colombia, this stay exceeded my expectations. I booked 4 nights, but I stayed finally 5 nights here. My room was excellent : a lot of space, private bathroom and cleaned every day. The hostel offers clean water and coffee and tea possibilities. The daily responsable of the hostel, Miguel, is extremely friendly and helped me every day by planning my day trips to the lake, the mountain villages and the Páramo de Oceta. The hostel is situated in a neighborhood with some outstanding street art and just around the corner is a brand new cultural center with concerts, exhibition and really good coffee bar.
Pros: The hostel was very nice and the owner of the hostel was a very kind person. I had a good time in Sogamoso.
Pros: The location was perfect, in the middle of street art and close to the archaeological museum. The owner is very nice and helpful. The hostel is just beautiful. Equipped with everything you need: a kitchen, garden, living room... And everything spotless clean. An amazing place to stay in Sogamoso!

Pros: Tranquility, gardens, location !!

Pros: They have great food, especially their breakfast. The house is amazing, a colonial house that has been restored and well kept. Some of the rooms have very interesting designs, one of the rooms, number 4, has a great design, it has a small tower on top that overlooks the property and is an excellent space to read. The location is really nice too, from the hotel is very easy to go to several places in this region in Boyaca. If you are interested in ruanas , Nobsa (small town nearby) is an excellent place to buy really good quality ruanas for a good price.
Cons: The place as I said is really nice, if there is anything in particular the staff was very accommodating, so I am sure if there is anything in particular you need changed they will do their best to change it. We have to ask them to change the mattress in our room because it was too hard for us, but it was very easy and they took care of everything really fast.
Pros: The staff were incredible, so helpful, flexible and pleasant. It is a beautiful colonial building is a great location to access make tota, mongui and several other great places in boyaca
Cons: The room was noisy as it is a very old building. The road traffic is heard clearly in the room while also all noise from around the hotel.

Pros: Spectacular grounds surrounding the hotel Spacious room Boutique design with much use of local brick and stone artesanía Location for touring the nearby villages and Lake Tota. The local village is beautiful The view from the hotel
Cons: The breakfast was very average for the price The pool was covered during our stay The spa appears very appealing but you pay an additional cost that pushes the price into the luxury category for this region I was charged more than the Booking.com price. Appeared that the base rate did not reflect the Booking.com base rate (ex vat)
Pros: The breakfast area wonderful. They don't have a buffet but they will give you a lot of options to choose the day before. The restaurant is a lovely place. The view from second and third floor rooms is stunning.

Pros: There were a nice garden and a friendly serviceteam.
Cons: Dogs were running all over the place. No working wifi connection on the private rooms. All the rooms were cold and no possibility to heat them. No free yoga-class included.
Pros: Very beautiful place. Good “finca atmosphere”. Staff was very helpfull and friendly. Breakfast was good. Room was clean.
Pros: The garden is wonderful, staff is friendly. Breakfast is good.
Cons: Matrassess are uncomfortable as they have a dent in the middle. Showers are ok.
Pros: - friendly staff, one of them speaks English (the staff obviously works in shifts so she's not all the time around) - we stayed here in order to do the hike Paramo de Oceta - the English staff helped us to arrange everything (make sure you book enough time here, in case you cannot speak Spanish and the English staff is not available upon arrival) - kitchen available with basic necessities - spacious bedroom (we had 2 single beds with private bathroom) - blankets on the beds so we didn't feel cold at night - the Finca has many seating areas to hang out - there is a file available with English descriptions of activities to do around Sogamoso
Cons: - kitchen could be a bit more equipped, but since it was not crowded this was no problem at the time. - shower has hot water only when the tap is opened just a bit, which made it a bit annoying to wash your hair (climate in Sogamoso is not so hot, so a hot shower is welcome) => this applies to our room, not sure about the others
Pros: Super friendly and helpful staff. Enough space in the dormitory, lockers available, delicious breakfast! :)
Pros: Finca San Pedro in Sogamoso was the oasis I was looking for and one of the most beautiful and relaxing places I have stayed at in Colombia. The people are the most warm-hearted and welcoming you could ever imagine. The place is the ideal base for all your trips and hikes around the Sugamuxi region.
Pros: Pretty garden, nice helpful staff, good communal kitchen. A haven in a horrible town.
Cons: Sogamoso is a ghastly town, worth staying at only because it is the centre for getting buses to some gorgeous local towns and wonderful walks. The finca is on the edge of town on a busy road and a horrible walk from the centre, with lorries thundering by. However, it’s only 5,000 COP for a taxi. The finca itself has a pretty garden and very nice staff, but is definitely more of a hostel than a hotel. We booked the most expensive ‘superior’ room (they call it a ‘suite’ on the finca’s website), but it is not really a suite - there is a sitting room outside the bedroom which in practice no one seems to use and so they describe it as ‘semi-private’. The bedroom and bathroom were large but very basic. There is only cold water in the sink (not so unusual), and the shower is hot but has very little water pressure. The breakfasts are meagre, basic and the same every day. However, the main problem was the owner’s dogs, which barked outside our room throughout the night. We had two sleepless nights before asking to move to a quieter room. The owner was apologetic and gave us a bottle of wine to say sorry and we moved to a smaller room for the last two nights, which was smaller but quieter. The first room didn’t lock, but had a locking cupboard for valuables; the second room didn’t have a locking cupboard and we had to insist on being given a room key. I don’t know what the dormitories are like, but other guests said that it was a good hostel, and I don’t doubt it. I also don’t know what other hotels in Sogamoso are like - it’s an unappealing place on every front and this may be one of the better places. But given the description on the website and enthusiastic reviews on Trip Advisor and Booking.com we were disappointed.
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast!
