The staff and the room.
Too expensive to host a dog.. 100 dollars.. while in Germany is only 15 Euro. It was not super clean. It was ok.
The room itself was great - very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We liked that it had a full size fridge, 2-plate oven and necessary pots/pan/utensils/dishes.
1) We were charged $3.50 for a bottle of water that was in the room (regular Nestle water, nothing fancy, it wasn’t even cold). They claimed that the water had some tag on it but we were very tired when we checked in at midnight the night before and it was not obvious. Not a big deal, but makes no sense at a hotel where you pay over $200 per night. Things like that are necessities and should be free. 2) The front desk person who was there when we were checking out (possibly Kat - this name is on my invoice) talked down to us and made us feel unwelcome and unwilling to stay at a Marriott hotel again in the future. She was very abrupt with us for no reason, made no effort to help us create a rewards account when I asked about the program and overall treated us like a nuisance. My wife mentioned that it was my birthday but instead of congratulations I got the rude treatment (“you don’t need the rewards account, you wouldn’t have gotten the points anyway since you didn’t book with us directly“) and a charge for the water. As if she didn’t think I could have stayed at Marriott again. Overall, our customer service experience was really poor and I don’t think we’re going to return to Marriott. We’ve had much better treatment at other hotels.
The breakfast was okay but most food stuff were too sugary and also it was one way stuff of breakfast needs to be varieties.
Breakfast needs a lot of varieties and also less sugar
The suite was roomy and spacious for all of us. Kids really loved the breakfast variety!
Some kitchen supplies like salt, washing up liquid, etc could have been made available.
