Dirty Zero level of comfort. Toilets and washrooms are not private Bed covers are not clean
Pros. I found it easy to walk to Rogers Center, Distillery district, waterfront, Union Station, etc. it is extremely close to the St. Lawrence Market. It is functional and provides just what this type of traveler seeks, simply a place to sleep, shower, and hold their stuff. It was fine for that as I often feel no need to pay double the price at another hotel just for a pretty room. Beds were comfortable, and the fridge and microwave in-room convenient.
Cons. As others have pointed out, it is run down. Every room needs maintence of some kind from unfinished floors to unpainted walls, broken bathroom cabinets, and moldy sealant around bathroom enclosure. The area has plenty of homeless, as does seemingly all of downtown Toronto, so you'll be hassled for 'change' a lot, but I never felt unsafe as long as you don't engage them.
Pros. Great for single travelers who wants to explore the downtown city of Toronto! Walking distance to all public transit systems, City Pass attractions, Kisington Markets, Chinatown, etc.
Cons. Shared washrooms and restrooms. A negative for those who prefers private usage only.
Cons. They are nor organised at all,and the people at the front desk were rude
