close to US embassy cheap food and drink
soundproof not good, other people's walk and talk waked me up very early left a book at the hotel and never got contacted by the hotel
Since it's close to chestnut residence, I book a room here for one week. Now, I even feel it lucky to come here one week before the open of my residence. All staff are very kind. Room is clean and comfortable. Many good restaurant nearby and the bar at first floor also provides good western style food. It really opens my eye to see people who like Jazz music get together to enjoy listenning to music. I can feel their happiness.
No, but as a reminder, some room (not my room) may hear Jazz music till midnight. So if you don't like it, you may need an earmuff.
The most important point is its location about a 6 minute walk to The Princess of Wales and Royal Alex Theatres and a 2 minute walk to the University Line subway. It is also clean and inexpensive!
Excellent value for being in the middle of downtown Toronto! It is a three-minute walk from the Osgoode (Queen Street) subway stop. The complimentary breakfast had three bread choices for toast (and peanut butter!) and four choices for juice. The room had an updated bathroom and was clean.
Loved attending the Sunday night Jazz program downstairs. Helpful staff in the Club and at the front desk.
The sliding pocket door is awkward in that it squeaks and is difficult to close. Needs attention. Also, it would be nice if the fan in the bathroom does NOT come on when you turn on the bathroom light. Very noisy for the other person sleeping in bed.
