What a surprise!

On the walk up/down from the town to the coast on the Calle del Peligro we had passed the Guadalupe Hostel many times over the years but never stayed. The hotel was a lot better than expected, the room with balcony was superb for the price with ceiling fan, a/c, fridge, tea/coffee making facilites, fast wifi and a sea view. The staff are very friendly and decor of the ground floor, bar and reception are extremely tasteful. We will return again in the near future. Because it is out of season parking was easy near to the hotel.

Location close to the beach and centrum. Large room, Comfortable beds, fridge and water boiler (perfekt in Corona times When there was no breakfast). The terass was a wondeful bonus. We even stayed longer Than planned.

Exceptional value for money

This place is right in front of the beach. To go to the city center, the lift was available pretty close to the property (50-70 meters), from where you can reach the city center by paying 50 cents. There were many restaurants present near the hotel. The best thing about the place is the host Pedro. He is very kind, very helpful, and shared a lot of information. The place took a lot of precautions in regard to the COVID pandemic. There were sanitizers present on all the floors.

I disliked nothing about this place. Perfect 10 out of 10.

The air conditioning needs improvement

Stayed here for 6 nights in july, i have to say for the money it cost i was absolutely delighted with my room , had a nice view out the front overlooking the promenade. Air conditioning worked very well. room had a good size and layout, a kettle , microwave , tv etc all good, I didnt have breakfast here so cant comment , also, the position of the property is tops, right at the bottom of the nicest part of torremolinos, upwards from here is all lovely cobbled streets with all you need right on your doorstep, superb!

if i was being really picky i would say the shower head bracket needs replacing as sometimes the flow of water overshoots the confines of the shower and leaks out on to the bathroom floor , but its not a big deal

On arrival Pedro showed us to the apartment which is a little stroll from the main building. We booked the 2 bed apartment for the MASSIVE private terrace. It was great nice & private & sun all day with sun beds & parasol. The apartment too was very spacious, clean & in a good position 2min walk down to the beach front. Pedro gave us contact info to keep in touch with him if we had any issues but all was okay. We throughly enjoyed our 9nt stay & will definitely be back .

Absolutely perfect. Was travelling with a bikepacking setup and was allowed to keep it stored in the restaurant. Very friendly owner. Clean room with air con, fan etc. Check out not until 12. Delightful!

Breakfast was first-rate in a very cozy environment. Coffee was great. The staff, everyone was superb, made this place very special. Even loaned me an alarm clock for my very early morning departure. The room was very quiet, spotlessly clean and no complaints whatsoever. Really impressed with the nice bottle of water waiting in the mini-fridge This is a very nice and considerate gesture; .especially appreciated when you first arrive and tired. TA gives a 9.3 rating. From my five day experience. a 10 would be well deserved!

Realize I am being picky, but the TV could be lowered: much too high for comfortable watching from the bed. Not a big deal though.

Very nice and helpful staff! Breakfast variety is great compared to hotel size. Hotel provides nice extras like free beach towels and breakfast bags if you leave early. Very close to the beach and great view from hotel terrace.

Bed was a little to soft for me, but that is subjective. Not much sound insulation, so if you have noisy neighbours (outside or inside), you will hear it.

The view from top floor room amazing .

If any problems with stairs the room with terrace would be a problem.

Pedro gave us a free up grade and so we had a view of the sea and balcony.

It was a little difficult to find with sat nav and driving. I suggest driving along the sea front and if you see the Melos hotel you have just driven past it. The reception is up a little side street. Extremely clean and tidy. The main reason for our great experience was Pedro the guy at the reception. In the brief checkin time, he gave us an insight into where to go for, what and how .. if that makes sense. We ate at a couple of great restaurants that he recommended. He told us everything we would have taken a few dats to find out about if we were just wandering. As we were only there a few days, this was a great help. We will be back.

A very frienly man at check in gave me a map and highlighted various places on it. He also recomended lovely nearby villages he thought I'd like and where to get the bus. I loved that there was a fridge in the room.

The staff are really terrific. Pedro was extremely helpful and willing to go the extra mile. The room I had was great and nothing beats a soft towel after a shower.

Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and tidy. They moved me into a room with a sea view which was nice in the morning.

Great place to stay for a few days cycling. Allowed me to keep my bike in a secure location and as I was leaving late on last day let me leave luggage and even provided shower. Breakfast ample choice for a day on bike. Great friendly service from all staff

Its right by the beach we had a sea view just a sort walk to all the shop there is a shop just like are pound shops were you can buy all you need just lovely will be back. the price is great

there is not a thing to dislike

We did not have breakfast, but the location was excellent and We had a balcony overlooking the sea and we saw the sunset and sunrise that was wow in itself. In addition the room was not ready so the manager meanwhile offered us beer and coffee so we could rest and acclimate while cleaning the room for us.

I liked everything

A fantastic location literally 2 minutes from the beach. Pedro couldn't have been more welcoming and told us all the best places to visit/eat. Our room was perfect - clean and quiet. We would definitely stay here again.

We got a huge apartment for three people. An enormous balcony, fully furnished and right by the beach. Great service as always. Thanks Giovanni, Pedro and Cristobal.

Very happy I changed my booking to stay here, I was originally due to stay in a hotel further down the road but wanted something small and quiet, I was very, very impressed. Exceeded my initial expectations, room was clean and well equipped for my needs. Had both a ceiling fan and air conditioning, along with a fridge/kettle ect. Shower was excellent! Room was checked and beds made daily and shower gels topped up. Brilliant check in and check out experience and would now be more than happy to use this as a base for all further visits to the area.

Only minor was the hardness of the pillows, I got used to them in the end, but I found them slightly too hard. The following did not reflect my overall score!! Not a major deal breaker, but I am not a fan of shower curtains, I think to make the bathroom more modern maybe upgrade to glass doors? FYI for anyone who has read this far, do not use the shop next door on the beachfront for basic supplies as they charge around 4.50E for a small deodorant, take the short walk up the steps into the center and look for "Dealz" its part of the Poundland group and I picked up lots of supplies here!

We had 2nd line 2 bed apartment with HUGE roof terrace with view of the sea. Had everything we needed with restaurants virtually outside the door

Great location, just across the road from the beach. 10/15 minute walk to the train station. Taxi rank just around the corner. Very friendly, helpful staff, Pedro is the star of the establishment, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was perfect, we had a balcony to watch the sun rise and the world go by, lots of hot water, great air conditioning and all kept very clean. Breakfast was excellent, good choices for a small hotel, very fresh and “proper” coffee made to order. A hotel of character and charm and we will be back.

We booked this apartment at 9pm as we were in another part of town in terrible apartment (We'd had enough after 6 days and needed to move).We arrived at 10.30 pm and were shown to our room. The property was very clean and comfortable, in a perfect location with a balcony over looking the beach. After a day out the balcony was perfect to relax and watch the world go by.

Only way to get fresh air is to open the door in balcony which is facing to another residential building.

I loved the location. It was just right next to the beach and close to the old town as well. The staff is very nice and friendly.

The room was good size but there was not enough of fresh air in the room. Air circulation is not great even with the AC on.

Very friendly staff and perfect location between the heart of the center and near the beach. Staff helped us in any way they could and arranged taxi's to the airport after checkout.

The area of Torremolinos is more touristic than I expected.
