Very comfortable , excellent VFM , good food and the staf were very pleasant and helpful No complaints at all
Breakfast excellent Fan in bathroom extremely loud and obviously faulty
Room was adjacent very busy road and hence very very!!! noisy which was a shame as it was a very good room for the price otherwise. had to set off at 7 20 am full breakfast not available till 7 30 am although toast coffee etc was provided
Nice-sized family room. Good breakfast. Curtains and fittings strating to look a bit tatty.
food, staff interior of the hotel part (pub is ok)
I liked the atmosphere about the place, the rooms were very clean and appealing, The waiters and waitresses were very obliging, and polite. There was a very comfortable feel about the whole place. My only reservations were regarding the unavailability of items on the food menu and the wine list.
Location, helpful staff, room and bedroom area security At breakfast I ordered smoked haddock and was served haddock. Lovely for lunch but not breakfast. I do not think the member of staff knew what smoked haddock is.
The hotel was very comfortable and steeped in history. The hot water on the top floor of the hotel lacked pressure and was not always hot.
The food & neil diamond tribute
no comment - room not ready until 4pm didnt like spa guests in bar area in dressing gowns. - they should have their own area, we felt very uncomfortable. lunch food very late and not exactley what was on menu which we ordered, free of charge offered. evening meal was left, not to standards which we anticipated.
The room -very comfortable. Checking in - room not available at 4pm - check-in is from 3pm! Given wrong room - had to wait 15 mins outside correct room awaiting key - then later found room not made up for two people - house keeping had to be notified to sort room out !! Not expected in 4 star hotel
When we had an issue with the original room the duty manager was very quick to sort the problem by way of a new room(upgrade). The walk across to silverstone was a pleasant way to start the day(30 minutes at a slow amble go right to gate 5) Breakfast service needs to be at the same standard as supper
The staff were fantastic, very helpful. The hotel is one of the best I've stayed in. Well kept and clean. The room was lovely, bed was comfortable and services were spot on...especially when I couldn't work out how to use the shower and called reception! Someone was up to my room in an instant! The drinks at the bar were a little expensive however, it seemed to match the standards of the hotel which were obviously very high!
Very understaffed at reception and in the bar
The ease of access to Silverstone race track The room was very hot with no air conditioning
Clean, modern, quick check in Room next to noisy air con unit. Poor standard of food considering price & four star rating.
Access to the spa facilities and the excellent service from the staff. No bar in room for water or drinks which I thought was unusual for this standard of hotel.
I liked the Swimming Pool and Leisure / Spa facilities which were very good. The prices of drinks in the bar £8.00!! for a glass of wine. The hotel was hosting an Hifi exhibition. The rooms used were on bedroom floors which made the corridors very busy and noisy. I could not get a dinner reservation untilo 9pm so we had to go and eat out.
The golf course next door Quite a lot, the first 2 rooms given were unacceptable one didn't have a window, only a sky light which was too high to look out of, the other room the window was facing a brick wall approx 1 mtr away, the 3rd room which we accepted was only equipped for one person although there were two of us. The price of meals was expensive, The breakfast dining experience - seating for over 500 was like a large canteen, with staff speaking very little or very basic English. Morning papers although ordered were never delivered. The hotel is obviously more into delegate meetings etc than customers on a midweek luxury break, my husband & I felt lost in the deluge of 'lap-toppers'.
