Pros:A little late with this review, but better late than never! We stayed in Room 6 with our little ones ages 1 and 5. Corner unit meant that parking was tons easier for us than other units. Just park right at the end of the building! Lovely stay with everything we needed to rest and relax. Kitchen had all the gear for cooking as well as tea and coffee. Going into the room, you can smell that the room was freshly disinfected and had procedures in place for guests to have a wonderful, safe stay. Instead of maid service coming in to replace towels, etc, place the clear bag of things to be switched by 10-10:30AM outside your door to be replaced with clean ones for you to bring into your room.
Cons:Just an FYI to travelers - - - If you're expecting to surf the web on your phone or tablet, prepare to just not. You are in the middle of the woods. Wifi isn't strong enough. However, if you are on a laptop or chromebook, you'll be fine, but don't expect high speed. It's workable and free so I am thankful. Just don't expect too much of it and do not fault the property. Again, you are in the woods, not the city with all the fiber optics, etc. For those that have small children, the stand up shower is a bit cramped in Room 6, but you can make it work.
Pros:This was our second time at the Trinidad Inn with our young children (ages 2 and 6). As HSU alumni, we just can't seem to ever escape for too long. The forest is naturally become a part of us. It is always an amazing stay. Clean with lots of amenities to feel like you are staying in your own home. Kitchen comes stocked with everything you need for cooking, eating, and drinking with a full-size fridge to store your fresh foods from Murphy's. Enjoyed using the fire pit and basketball court with our littles. The trail behind the inn is cool, but if you're going to hike down with little ones, it is pretty steep. Forest walks and play time in the small meadow next to the mushroom bench was great for the kids. This is definitely a place that we highly recommend to friends and family.
Cons:In Room 3, the pocket door seems to be stuck which may bother some, but was a non-issue for us. Seems to have been stuck for some time as there is no latch on the door to pull it out to close the area between the main space and the kitchen. Wifi is a bit spotty, but is not a surprise. You're in the woods and on vacation! Unplug for a little and take in the beauty surrounding you!
