The outdoor dining room overlooking the lawn is a very attractive, comfortable space, the staff are all exceptionally professional and friendly and the choice and quality of food is excellent, ate there every night for a 4 night stay. a nice beer would have completed it but it is no alcohol. Didn't eat inside. The other restaurant is pleasant but for us suffers with a big television dominating the room, the staff are again all excellent, the breakfast selection and quality very good, the last 2 mornings we sat outside to get away from the noise, not sure if you are supposed to, but the waiters still looked after us so well. 10 out of 10
Unfortunately when we arrived shown to our room, comfortable, turned on the air conditioner had dinner came back and the room was hot, rang reception they came and fiddled, 30 minutes later admitted there was no air-conditioning in the whole hotel, closed for maintenance for 3 days! why they couldn't tell us that to start with?? The room had opening windows, so that would have to do, went to bed but there was a vibrating noise coming from outside that actually made the bed vibrate, closed the window no better. turns out when they built the new wing the big aluminium exhaust duct for the restaurant and wood fired oven goes up right outside the window and affects lots of rooms on different floors. Impossible to sleep, hotel supposedly nearly booked out but the manager showed me a room with a double bed no opening window, but we need twin beds, then offered to take me to another hotel across the road (he was very nice and did try very hard) I agreed but I had misunderstood it was a 10 minute drive away!! looked at a room ok but now too exhausted to change hotels and said we would try and sort it out the next day. The kitchen exhaust duct went off at 2am. The next morning started trying to sort out what to do, the staff were very very nice, they didn't say but gave the impression that those rooms should not be used. Eventually a lady arrived, general manager? 2nd in charge not sure? understood the problem immediately and showed us a choice of 3 rooms on the top floor (on the other side of the kitchen exhaust) opening windows, It is older hasn't been modernised, a bit run down but is perfectly presentable and comfortable and quiet. Although when the air con came back on for the last night it was so old and rattled we turned it off. So dilemma what room to stay in if you book there? there is a new wing above the restaurants looks nice.
What say in booking.com with picture and when you select room after seen picture but when you rich to hotel it’s completely different then what you select
Size of the room pretty big which can accumulate family and for long stays
Gym. There is no towel and water bottle. And when u call reception they won't pick your call
I liked very much the Italian restaurant on the veranda with garden view and the position of the hotel: quiet place close to the center. The personal (hotel and restaurant) were hospitable, very kind, helpful and competent.
The often recharging of the key card for the room and the expiration hours of the internet password. If you need cosmetic set (shampoo, body shower, etc.) you will not find in the bath- you should pay. There is not hairdryer in the room. You will receive one if you ask, but doesn't work properly. The white towels were looking old.
Typically nothing. Their Wifi is so very bad. Food dose not taste good at all.
