Hotel Le Priori - Québec City - Building

9.5 Excellent (1,697 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Le Priori, you'll be centrally located in Quebec, steps from Place Royale and 6 minutes by foot from Quebec City Town Hall. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Le Priori is an absolutely wonderful place to stay in Quebec City. The location is excellent - just around the corner from the Funiculaire in the lower city. It's nestled in a neighborhood that gives you that old European feel as soon as you step out the door. Parking, while not directly on-site, is a brief walk away and very reasonably priced. The staff at the hotel are excellent! Friendly, accommodating and at your disposal. The rooms are modern, sleek and comfortable (and the beds are super comfy)! Breakfast is included in your stay and it is delicious. We expected the typical continental breakfast and instead were treated to all kinds of goodies: eggs, sausage, bacon, french toast, pastries... the works! We will absolutely stay here again.
Cons: It's hard to find anything not to like about this place. Be aware that the sink is located in the room itself rather than inside the bathroom. Very European, but may be surprising to some!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the loccation was excellent - close to everything in the lower old city. The room was modern and comfortable and parking was only a couple of blocks away.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was excellent. The room had a working fireplace that made for cozy evenings after a day of site seeing. The location was close to shops and there were excellent restaurants nearby. We did not need a car.
Cons: Breakfast was excellent, however, there was no variation from day to day.

Auberge Saint-Antoine - Québec City - Building
3
9.5 Excellent (1,274 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Auberge Saint-Antoine by Relais & Chateaux, you'll be centrally located in Quebec, steps from Quebec Cruise Terminal and 3 minutes by foot from Place Royale. Featured amenities include a business center, limo/town car service, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location. Friendly staff. Beautiful hotel.
6.3 Good
Pros: Historical property in great location.
Cons: I had booked the hotel as a special occasion for my husband's birthday. Given the hotel is part of Relais & Chateaux, you expect a fabulous experience (like we have had in other properties). The trouble started in the elevator when one of the cards did not work to go to the room. Once in the room, the room was dark and super cold; nothing had been prepared for the guests let alone for my husband's birthday. Maintenance came to the room and told us to crank up the temperature to 26C (79F). It took over an hour to warm up the room. In full disclosure, the hotel did give us a card and some chocolates when we left. Not the "festive" experience I expected for the price we paid. There are other hotels in this neighborhood with better price quality and experience.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The hotel had a charming restaurant and contained a great deal of history.
Cons: The hotel is right in front of where the cruise ships dock which completely blocks your view of the river. Also the river front room was very noisy due to street traffic. The staff was nice but not helpful in solving our problem.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice boutique hotel with unusual décor. Music CD and Bose player in the room. Interesting lighting. I would like to plan a dinner at Chez Muffy on our next trip.
Cons: We were moving between hotels and hoped to have our room ready by 1 PM. After being assured that it would be ready quickly, we had to wait until 3:30. To be fair, the published check-in time is 4pm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Elegant room....great staff...great ambience...great location... the bellman was especially helpful!
Cons: No
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Every staff is friendly and professional .
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Staff were warm, welcoming, and efficient to the max. Rooms are lovely and comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The incredible care and thought that went into the construction and presentation of this entire property was exceptional. It is filled with subtle and beautifully displayed artifacts discovered during the build. Our room was very nice. My wife especially enjoyed the gently heated tile floor in the bath. Breakfast was great. In the evening we dined at Muffies and loved our tasting menu dinner.
Cons: Should have stayed longer!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location within walking distance to must see attractions, hotel staff professional and helpful, room absolutely beautiful, lots of surprises, quiet, bed oh so comfy, tv in english, lots of choices, nespresso maker, lots of coffee and tea choices.
Cons: Pillows were to high and way to squishy, felt like suffocation

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Based on previous reviews and pictures on booking.com we had very very high expectations. They were exceeded in basically every way, but probably especially so by the breakfast. It looked too good to be true on the pictures, but it turned out to be better than that. We would be worried that we'd hype this up too much for future travelers, but actually that's probably not really possible. The owners are amazing, and their pets (2 dogs and a cat) are also amazing. If you don't like cats and dogs then that wouldn't be an issue either, because you don't have to see them, but if you do like them then you're in for a treat as well. If you happen to be in Canada, you should go here.
Cons: The only downside of our stay was that we stayed only one night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This bnb is more than a bnb, you feel like home. The room we booked was kind bigger than a studio. You have kind of 2 bedrooms that accommodates 4 peoples with a bathroom that have a shower. You also have a small kitchen where you don't even have to wash your dishes as the host do it for you. The amenities are amazing with the river 20 m away from your door as it passes along the house. You also have a heated salt pool, space to do a barbecue and a patio. It is a great place to go and stay a few days even though we stayed only one day. The breakfast is homemade and delicious. It fills you up for a good hike! They also have 2 dogs that wander around so you need to be comfortable with dogs.
Cons: I have no bad things to say about this bnb but be aware there are mosquitoes as it is near the river.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice view, with a wild river just in front of the house.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly hosts, It was just like staying at grandmas house with gourmet breakfasts. Not fluent in english but they can still understand enough for good conversations. , but if you know a little french, even better. We will go back again.
Cons: An air conditioner in the room would have been nice, but it cooled off at night.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: no payment by credit card despite an indication at Booking.com

Great bathroom with spacious shower and high quality toiletries and towels. Very elegant glassware supplied in the room for wine, cocktails and neat drinks.

Cons: I loved everything about the hotel and the staff.
6.7 Good
Pros: Location was awesome!
Cons: I asked for 2 firm pillows and got 2 pillows that were soft and non-supportive. When I went to the front desk to ask for firm pillows they said that they don't have any at their hotel but would send others to our room. Pillows were delivered WITHOUT pillow cases...this is not what I would expect...but rather than complain, I took 2 pillow cases off existing pillows and discovered that they had blood stains on them . How horrific!!! I called front desk to complain and an hour and half later (8:00pm) they sent manager up our room who was horrified and apologized 1000% . He said good help is hard to find there but promised he wouldn't leave without giving me the firmer pillows. He did provide the pillows.....clean new pillow cases...and an apology . Nothing more.

Cons: I did not like the staff in the reception who was on afterrnoon duty on Oct. 29. Rude and unsmiling. Noisy and malfunctioning aircon. Loose shower knob. Danger of burns. Candlewood suite bettet. Cleaner. It has full kitchen. Not this hotel. I had to request transfer from rm 820. Room is musty & with cigarette smell. Dark unit.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Great location close to everything - attractions, river, restaurants, and shops! Although it is very busy, any noise that can be heard in your room (if facing the Frontenc) is all done by 11 pm, if not earlier. That said, I was surprised it was not noisier. Loved the window seat and being able to open the window, and have a drink in the room and rest your feet before heading back out. Comfy bed, great shower, and good air conditioning!
Cons: Pedestal sink (no vanity), a bit inconvenient for applying make up and placing toiletries.

Pros: Staff, convenience, style
Cons: Towels are to be newer.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, location, location. Right next to the Chateau Frontenac in the heart of Old Quebec. Price was very reasonable and bed comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Stairs to check in and reach our room. Our room was out of the way so noise was not an issue. Stairs getting to the lobby needed attention when we arrived and it was the same when we left. Busy season and probably didn't get a chance to get to it.

Pros: Homey atmosphere and the location!
Cons: NO ELEVATOR!

6.0 Good
Pros: The Catholic convent ambiance was inspiring. The location was excellent for exploring Old Town Quebec. The place was clean and quiet.
Cons: Parking was a problem, very few spaces available. Room was on the fourth floor and VERY HOT. We could not get the air-conditioning to work and they do not want you to open the windows. The glass in the shower did cover adequately so water was on the floor everyday. The lights for reading on the side of the bed were not installed correctly taking the right/left side into consideration so one person had no reading light. Room very small for king bed and lacked a chair.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Stunning place, very unique with a great restaurant. It’s on the pricey side but well worth it for a special occasion. Spiritually satisfying!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room (423, one of the contemporary rooms with private bathroom) was superb. Huge comfy bed, a real desk, no television, a view over the convent garden, spacious modern bathroom, lift very close. Within the convent, I enjoyed the many museum exhibits, copious healthy breakfasts, the 'salon de repos' recliners, snacks at the shop, walking the garden, the total calm of the place. The exit from Level 2 leads directly to lovely Old Québec, and Bus 11, so the convent was incredibly well located. I didn't participate in the program of yoga, massage, meditation etc, but you could easily spend a week of self care and relaxation here.
Cons: It took some getting used to the shower, which was a hot mist, to save water. Dinners and lunches at the restaurant were too expensive, in my opinion, although there was no faulting the top quality.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The curated artwork in public areas. Early access to breakfast and boutique (7am). A historical look at monastic life in Quebec City.

7.9 Good
Pros: The aroma in the lobby and throughout the hallways.
Cons: Slight musty smell in the bathroom. Likely used an old rag to wipe it down.

Pros: The facilities were excellent, staff very helpful. The museum about the Wendat in the hotel was also excellent, including the longhouse.

Pros: Great location
7.5 Good
Pros: Location was very convenient, close (walking distance) to many restaurants and historic buildings. Bed linens were nice. Staff were helpful and accommodating.
Cons: First room had only a small window looking at a brick wall. Very dark and dreary. I changed rooms and got a room with a real window but looked out on a busy street, from the second floor. No privacy unless you pulled the black-out drapes. Rooms recently redecorated. NO COLOR. All fake surfaces, no closet just a hanging rack. Color scheme black white beige. probably the least welcoming room I have ever stayed in. For the price I expect some comfort. Towels were OK but not luxury.

Pros: It was a beautiful suite with a great deal of space.
Cons: The shower controls were very confusing.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff. Great location. Clean. Quiet. Great breakfast which is included in the price. Overall excellent value at $160 per night.
Cons: Very hard to find the hotel. Room was very small with a shower made entirely of glass in the bedroom itself. Room was very small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely helpful staff, I twice stayed here in one week, fourth floor of the hotel hard by the church square. The rooms are spacious and darkly handsome with just the night accents of decor. Love the rich wood floors and doors, roomy bathrooms and just everything.
Cons: I travel a lot and honestly cannot demerit the hotel for anything. From directions to restaurant recommendations to central location in old Montreal to handout umbrellas on a rainy Wednesday, Place d'Armes came through.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: One issue I had was when I was given my credit card receipt it was not itemised, so I had no idea if the valet charge was included. I therefore paid the valet guy separate for the valet parking. Then, when I later went over the credit card bill it appears that I had been charged for the valet on the credit card bill. An itemised receipt would have made me aware of this. Other than that I have no complaints, but I think this is something that is easily rectified.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: great location! close to the center and all touristic places. the room is really charming and not looks like other standars hotels enougth space
Cons: it's sometimes quite noisy during night since my window faces to other the roof with ventilation also there's a problem with free outlet, so I was able to charge the phone only in the bathroom
