Located in Kaartinkaupunki, this luxury hotel is within a 10-minute walk of Statue of Havis Amanda, Presidential Palace, and Helsinki Cathedral. Senate Square and Uspenski Cathedral are also within 10 minutes.
Pros: The staff of Hotel Kamp made the experience wonderful! They were welcoming and friendly, patiently explaining proper procedure for using the sauna, providing extra robes and towels. The sauna itself was spotless and soothing, with the staff quietly appearing every few minutes to remove soiled towels and drinking glasses, and refill the complimentary water and gloggi pitchers. Our deluxe room was also spotless and beautiful. When we returned to our room after supper, the staff had come in to turn down the beds. They also folded the clothes we had tossed on the bed, laid cloths and Kamp slippers next to the bedside where we would first step in the morning. Candy and a water bottle was on each side of the bed as well. Even the trash container in the bathroom had been recently emptied and the first sheet of toilet paper had been refolded to a point. It showed an attention to detail I have never experienced in a hotel before. In addition we dined for our Christmas Eve dinner in the Kamp Brasserie. The food was exceptional, the smoked salmon delicious, the goose leg tender and succulent! For dessert they accommodated my request to switch desserts from the prearranged Christmas menu to another selection, my favorite Snow Egg. Overall, the dining experience was relaxed, unhurried, quiet with an occasional live entertainment of Christmas carols. We had a wonderful time. Next year I intend to fly my sons and their wives to Finland to spend Christmas with me at the Hotel Kamp!
Cons: The restaurant encloses the sidewalk in glass to expand the available seating area. We were seated next to the temporary glass wall, and a cool breeze could be felt near our feet throughout the meal. We weren't cold, but we needed to wrap our shawls around our shoulders to stay comfortable.
The doors to the saunas squeaked and could use a squirt of WD40.
Pros: The hotel is beautiful, right downtown. You can easily walk to the old district and see the cathedrals, and there are many great restaurants nearby. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, helping us find stuff to see and arranging transportation. The room itself was very comfortable.
Cons: I had no problems with this hotel, I would absolutely recommend it.

Pros: Staying in a old prison is a great experience and they've done it so beautifully. The staff is nice and helpful. Breakfast is good (although the herring is really salty). The rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms are really nice.
Cons: It's a little out of town but that's what you'd expect from a prison. It's not like they are in the center
Hotel Katajanokka fulfills the expectations of travelers looking for an exceptional experience. Inside the old brick walls, a fascinating world of contrasts open up; a modern hotel built in a historic prison. The red brick walls house 106 different and personal rooms. Stylish decor and unique atmosphere effectively take your mind away from the busy working day or intensive travel. Pros: Superb Location! Great room and views! Very friendly staff.
Pros: Reasonable on price. Access to Executive Lounge as part of our room package was a must in this expensive city - we paid less for that package at this hotel than friends paid elsewhere without the extra add ons.
Cons: A bit tired decor wise - You could tell it would have been lovely in the 80s but it is desperate for an upgrade. Rooms were clean but again a bit tired. Below par compared to other Hilton Hotels I have stayed in.

Pros: The location was acceptable is about the best and only good thing I can say for it
Cons: It may be the worst price:value hotel I've ever encountered. Expensive ($260) but feels like the assembly plant for Ikea. Television was partially blacked out, the toilet was unflushed (you know what I mean) and the whole place cheesey.

Pros: Great location just in the centre nad next to central railway station, perfect soundproof window (you don't hear anything from the street), breakfast offers a really good choice, everything in hotel was clean.
Cons: Actually I had early flight on Saturday back to home and breakfast during weekend is open from 7:30 so it was challenging to get my trip in the right schedule. I would suggest to move breakfast to 7:00 during weekend.
Pros: Complimentary umbrellas for the rainy season and free wifi. The wifi in our room was very spotty though. The location is great and in the center of the city. It is literally right next to the bus station and finnair provides a shuttle service for €6 to the city center.
Cons: Shower had tons of mold and also leaked everywhere. The outlets only charge your phone when the lights are on. Overall the room was very small with dreary outdated decor. Breakfast is pricey at €18.00

They offer a loaner laptop at the front desk!
Cons: Bathroom lighting a bit dim
Pros: Great location, extremely friendly and professional staff, clean rooms, great breakfast. Overall, an excellent value for the money.
Pros: Although it was quite busy, the breakfast was excellent. As we requested a twin room, we ended up with a room that handicap accessible so it was very spacious. Beds were very comfortable. Wifi worked well.
Pros: Perfect location, basically next to the most famous and central hotel in Helsinki. The breakfast buffet was excellent.
Cons: My room in the new section of the hotel was nice, but my "view" was the roof of another part of the building.

Hotel Rantapuisto will take your breath: Dashing main building was built in the 1960s for Banks training center in the middle of east Helsinki nature. A lot has happened since then, but the hotel continues to communicate the era of interesting architectural features: it consists of several wings, rooms are large and glass corridors are wide. Rantapuistos attraction is its location in a beautiful natural environment. The huge windows offer unobstructed view of the local nature and the sea. Distance to the center of Helsinki is still only short.

Pros: Great breakfast and great location. Toscanis restaurant is awesome also. Gym is ok . Bathrooms and bathroom products are great. Having a fridge is good also
Cons: No ironing board or iron , no desk in the room. Rooms are tired and pokey - choose your room type carefully - you get what you pay for here - some suites are ippukrnt other single rooms are like prison cells.
Pros: Quiet, comfortable, great breakfast, great location, pleasant staff, free guidebook in room, luxurious towels
Cons: Not sure the design concept is worth paying more for. My single room wasn't terribly attractive and some design features, such as the bathroom sink were impractical (very shallow sink). Room temperature wasn't adjustable to make it cool enough.

The rooms offer comfort for the guests, and are designed respecting the history of the building. The cosy lounge area offers food with a touch of local cuisine. Other facilities include free sauna, gym, business center, bar, meeting rooms and an inviting terrace during the summer.
Pros: Included Breakfast was fantastic. Staff was extremely friendly.
Cons: Room air conditioning did not work reliably and Windows were locked. When we inquired about it, the staff was very proactive in trying to remedy the situation. Hotel was dated, kinda looks
Like it's stuck in the 1970's.
Pros: Breakfast was amazing...relatively close to attractions
Cons: Old facilities, dirty furniture, impersonal staff
Pros: I loved staying here. It was in a great, central location. About a 10-15 minute walk from the main railway station. Close to so many sights, restaurants, bars, etc... The staff was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast every morning was AWESOME.

Cons: The water was off all day, and they didn't tell us.
The building was shaking and loud noises all through the stay because of construction.
If they told us, we would have booked elsewhere.
Their greed surpassed our comfort.
They said they notified us, but they didn't post until after we were booked in.

Located in Kamppi, this hotel is within a 10-minute walk of Forum Shopping Centre, Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art, and Ateneum Art Museum. National Museum and Finlandia Hall are also within 15 minutes.
Cons: The bathroom I checked in had intense feces smell, seems someone just went to #2 in the bathroom. I changed the room. Later the night, I clogged the toilet (which very rarely happen to me). The front desk staff said there is no one to fix as it was late at night. I had to either change the room again or stay in the current room and go to the bathroom in another room (the one whose bathroom had intense feces smell). The hotel was physically beautiful and the room was nicely cleaned, but this experience ruined my only one night stay in Helsinki. I felt very uncomfortable staying in this Glo Hotel. I would never stay here again and will never recommend it to anyone I know.
Pros: The location of this hotel was perfectly situated about 10-15 minutes from downtown Helsinki, this was an added bonus, especially for the price. While my room was small, it had an awesome vibe and decor to it that made me feel at ease. The concierges, who spoke great English were always there to give me tips and directions to local hot spots. The overall decor and aesthetic of the hotel was beyond my wildest expectations. This building was so beautiful that I cannot express them in words. The only thing I can say is experience it for yourself, you will not be disappointed. Oh did I mention the sauna and the breakfast buffet were INCREDIBLE.
Cons: That I had to leave!
Pros: The main building (Vanha Poli) has been a favorite of mine for a long time and every time I pass through it, I love it.
Cons: The room was small and ultra modern which is a stark contrast to the jugend (art noveaux) exterior and entrance. I was never a big fan of the modern stuff and it is disappointing to mix so great old building with modernism. Also, it was extremely hard to get the room to warm up to even 22C in the middle of the summer.
Pros: This hotel is in a great location, walkable to many sights and things to do, and is comfortable and spacious. Best of all, it has an amazing breakfast spread, a great way to start off a day of hiking around.
Pros: The breakfast is above average compared to other Finnish places, really decent coffee from a local coffee place, the rooms are quiet, nicely equipped with super comfy beds and water kettle.
Cons: The doors in the in-room bathrooms need a tad of maintenance. Breakfast can get very busy.
Pros: This is one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed in. The location is great, since it's a short walk to the city center of Helsinki, and surrounded by great little shops and restaurants. The staff was excellent, super friendly and almost every one (the exception was the cleaning staff) spoke English. The room was stunningly beautiful.
Cons: We did get the room upgrade, and the room was still on the small side for two people. The shower is a little transparent, so heads up if you are traveling with family, it's strange. There was construction going on so it was noisy, but they were very nice about that. Overall great place.
Pros: Nice hotel in a good location with a cool facade.
Cons: Shower was a bit small but sufficient.

Adjacent to a golf course, Hotelli Korpilampi is a great choice for a stay in Espoo. Guests indulge in spa services, then grab a bite to eat at the restaurant. An indoor pool and a bar/lounge are other highlights, and rooms offer flat-screen TVs and free WiFi.
