Pros: I have been visiting this hotel for Breakfast (the best in BA) and for drinks & dinners over the past 15years but this was my first time staying and its faultless ! Arrivals and especially departures are usually the problem spots but not here as said smooth efficient with great warmth, I have to stay there again !
9.5 Excellent
Pros: luxury hotel with lovely room(junior suite) and fabulous roof top bar.
Cons: pool very small and on roof. Rest of spa in basement- meant a lot of travelling in lift in dressing gown. Could do with better glazing as street noise quite loud.
Overview Reviews
Located in the fashionable Recoleta shopping and residential district on Avenida Alvear, surrounded by the finest stores, shopping centres and typical "cafes" where "Portenos" life takes place. Featuring beautiful gardens, the hotel offers a stunning array of sights and experiences along with the renowned Park Hyatt graciousness and service. Palacio Duhau-Park Hyatt, the jewel of the Park Hyatt crown.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, style and garden
Cons: Difficult to book Palace Side of Hotel Not well explained in the booking.com site not in theirs
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location and friendly staff. Bar and restaurant good and reasonably priced.
Cons: Not the least expensive choice but one of the best hotels in Recoleta area
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Beautiful gardens and fantastic buffet breakfast.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything was first class. The lighting system took some doing to understand but was great once we did. Palace side room a must.
Cons: Breakfast kitchen/staff were rather slow.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: There was little we didn't like! We stayed on the Palace side which is architecturally beautiful, the rooms are enormous as was the California King bed, bathroom luxurious, linens and towels top grade, views on garden lovely. Breakfast well executed. Superlative property we look forward to returning to.
Cons: No full length mirror in the room, breakfast staff slow, kitchen inconsistent as my fruit and yogurt was prepared differently each morning (4 times), it would have been helpful if the front desk staff told us upon check in that breakfast was included in room rate and the lighting plan took some doing to get used to.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Overall the staff team was professional as expected from a stay at any Park Hyatt. Concierge were knowledgeable about the area and restaurant scene. They were helpful. What exceeded my expectation was housekeeping. They were very thorough in their cleaning of the room. They even hoovered the carpet and the floor every day.
Cons: Breakfast time could get very busy resulting in a slow service. Also the staff could get confused with the order - I got a black coffee instead of coffee with milk. And when asked for a flat white, I just got something out of an Nespresso machine with little milk. Their cooked breakfast was to die for though so those little mistakes can be forgiven.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location , the theme and the atmosphere
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location
6.3 Good
Cons: The entire garden, restaurants were unavailable on a friday night due to a private event. The enoteca was unavailable Thursday and Friday I should have stayed at the four seasons were guests area the priority I do not recommend this property

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was my second stay at Alvear Art. I returned because I enjoyed my first time. I like the location: the area ranging from the Plaza de Mayo all the way up to Recoleta contains a lot that interests me. I enjoy sitting on a bench in Plaza San Martin and listening to the birds and the city while reading something thoughtful and contemplating life. It's nice too to have within walking range a number of nice restaurants. The hotel staff was glad to advise me and make suggestions. The servers in the hotel restaurant treated me like a friend. I believe I have found my place to stay in Buenos Aires.
7.5 Good
Pros: clean - and firm bed
Cons: caters mostly to groups- less used to answering questions from independent travellers
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The fruit plate was outstanding. Generally good options. The location was central and quite. The room was spacious and the bed and pillows were fantastically comfortable. Lighting was excellent too.
Cons: Some inconsistencies in room service practices that were mildly disconcerting and once or twice a bit annoying. All calls to housekeeping or room service were promptly answered and problems fixed quickly.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful bathroom.
Cons: Ability to quickly get a taxi
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great staff always willing to help. Quiet room at rear of hotel with very good work space and high speed wifi. Enjoyed pool with great view over Buenos Aires.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's well located to my local office and a quaintly unique boutique setting. It's small enough that the staff remembers you when you come and go and you are not lost in the crowd, which can tend to be the case at larger hotels.
Cons: There wasn't anything I didn't like. I would have liked to swim with the roof open since it was warm out and the roof was not retracted. It was summer time so I figured they would have opened it up. Not a big issue and it more than made up for it in every other way.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: service. staff very friendly and helpful . food very good.
Cons: nothing. it was excellent.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good services for our check in . Good breakfast service with amazing coffee. Excellent receiptionest service with quick check in .
7.0 Good
Pros: Nothing special. Four star hotel on average.
Cons: The waiter leave my door open after having made up the room (for more than 6 hours..). Nothing was stolen but was certainly not professional behavior. The concierge asked me if he could do anything in particular but, in the end, they also charged me for the bottle of water from the fridge bar. Disappointing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, beautiful hotel and very helpful staff. Awesome stay!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast Location Staff
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent, spacious, clean rooms!! Excellent location!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was exceptional very large the bed was super large and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Braian at the reception went the extra mile to make us feel warmly welcome. The rest of the staff was nice but no one could compare to Braian. Large rooms with comfy bed and ceiling showers. Everything was impeccably clean. The breakfast was very good and the Tierra restaurant kept the food standards very high, and the location, near the Obelisco, Corrientes avenue and Teatro Colón is hard to beat.
Cons: The bathroom door is a bit tricky to operate - essentially you cannot open it while you are unlocking it. Try to get used to it to avoid falling into dispair.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable room, rich breakfast, staff members are all very kind and helpful. Walking distance from very popular places to eat and drink.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Modern and quirky, well appointed room, comfortable bed, very clean, reception staff excellent
9.5 Excellent
Cons: The hotel advertised a Hot Tub, but when we got there, they advised it was not heated - that was disappointing as that was one of the reasons that we chose that hotel. Besides that, all was very good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: BA is a noisy city so the double glazing kept it quiet in the room - which is great for sleeping off jetlag. This place has ambience and the atrium with waterfall is very relaxing. Staff are super helpful, the breakfast is generous, including freshly squeezed orange juice. 5 star all around.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in Palermo - nice district with a lot of new restaurants, but next stop we did in San Thelmo, where there is more atmosphere of old Buenos Aires. The hotel is trendy, quiet, clean. The breakfast was great. Nice terrace with a little jakuzzi.
Cons: The staff from reception needs a bit more smile and attention to tourists. The lady at the breakfast area was very nice though.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was first rate. All were very nice. Spoke English. Just very nice all around.
Cons: Absolutely loved it. Staff was awesome helping us with directions, cabs, subway info, and restaurant recommendations. Our room was great. Comfortable bed. Super clean. I'd stay here my next visit to Buenos Aires.
7.5 Good
Pros: Modern building and design, bright, clean.
Cons: The noice traveled through the building from downstairs to the upper floors. They should put some big area rugs in places that would absorbe the noice.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Small boutique hotel located in a Palermo neighborhood area of BA. Staff were always very helpful with info and cabs. Room was ready by our early arrival :) Breakfast : omelettes, eggs cooked to order, lots of sweets of course, excellent coffee and the perfect serving staff. Beautiful outdoor patio with fountain, wall fountain in hotel lobby, lots of greenery and a sitting area. Rear rooms are quiet and have a view of the patio. Spacious rooms and bath with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Cons: Front rooms are fairly noisy because they are on the street side. Restaurant didn't seem to be open very often, even for drinks. That could be the US timing of happy hour and dinner vs. Argentina's idea of dinner time. More of a quite neighborhood hotel, enough restaurants within walking distance but many sites needed a cab ride.
5.0 Okay
Pros: It looks new.
Cons: The air conditioning was NOT working on the building. But it was very HOT in the hotel room. I hardly slept at all. I was given a first floor room and when I opened the sliding glass doors (there are no windows) the street light and noise was as bad as the heat. I traveled Argentina for 17 days. This was by far the most expensive hotel I stayed at and by far the worst! I left the hotel exhausted from lack of sleep.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent and clean property. The staff was really nice and hey all the time. Very close to restaurants and shops

Pros: The heated floors in the bathrrom, the shower the double jacuzzi tub and the comfy bed
Cons: Turned left outside and saw some concerning people, next times turned right and all was well. The coffee in the room was not complimentary and it was terrible
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I mean everything was perfect from the staff service to the rooms. It's not necessary to specify the hotel is really great!
Cons: The location is a little bit sketchy at night. That's not the hotels fault though and that's how it is in most big cities in Latinamerica.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing service, great rooms, Breakfast was superb including the hoṯ chocolate and the omelette The location is perfect, quite at night and busy during the day. Just have to be a little careful walking around at night after 10pm. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes close by

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great Hotel. Nice location!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Mattress and bed in general very confortable.
Cons: Service - 45' at the bar without the barman (he was smoking somewhere and reeked of cigarette smoke when he came in) which means the waiters from the restaurant also have to take care of the bar. At breakfast, ordered poached eggs and cancelled the order 20' later - no eggs in sight!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Placed in the best spot of Recoleta
Cons: Breakfast could be better
8.0 Excellent

Cons: The pool is a bit limited.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Classy. Great food and staff.
Cons: It’s getting old. Renovation is a must for all rooms.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location - this neighborhood is gorgeous and it's a great spot to stay in while you discover the rest of Buenos Aires. The rooms are well appointed (but PLEASE add more outlets to the bedside stand and make them international outlets--and tell your other hotel friends in Argentina, too). This is a quintessential Brick/Sofitel so the ambiance is what you know and expect. No surprises and no real disappointments in terms of the hotel itself. The room service is VERY quick and the food was good--not great--but good. My stay was fine - it wasn't spectacular - just fine.
Cons: Breakfast is very limited and lacks imagination. Can we get beyond yogurt, cheese and salty meat? How about some nice vegetarian or vegan options for a change? I couldn't get anyone to wait on me during breakfast - was never offered tea/coffee or even greeted so that was disappointing. When it came time to check-out, I couldn't get anyone to answer the phone so lugged two very large suitcases to the elevator, etc. - and that doesn't work for me. This is an Accor Property and I do expect a level of service in exchange for staying. I'm not sure I would stay here again - I'd probably stay at the 4 Seasons, etc. OR at one of the many boutique hotels in the city - some of which offer a pool.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location - prompt and responsive staff
Cons: Fitness room could be better equipped but more importantly opening hours are from 9 which for travellers with a schedule is not very accommodating
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place, people. Walking distance to a lot of things. Walk to restaurants and shopping.
Cons: Liked everything.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Its a beautiful front desk and location;
Cons: The room isn’t clean properly and somebody from the staff into my last night drop my macbook pro while are cleaning the room, I’ve just tale some photos, but just realize that now, when i’ve used him at the plane and he has scars and didnt turn on well, stay reeboting...
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful staff, concierges and restaurant especially. Good restaurant- small but tasty menu. Great wines.
Cons: Some plumbing problems on day 1 but fixed fast. Only 2 elevators so once a convention arrived waits were long and staircase dangerous

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful guest house in a leafy suburb of BA. The rooms and spacious with furniture from the period in which the house was built. Carlos was an excellent host (despite my lack of Spanish) and attentive to needs.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location just less than 5 minute walk to the Vicente Lopez train station. There are plenty of bars and restaurants walking distance from the Casona. Carlos provided an excellent service and made us feel very welcome.
Cons: Internet is very poor in the upper floor where the bedrooms are. A better router needs to be installed. Water pressure is also not optimal, but I guess that is not an issue that can be easily fixed. I wish Carlos also provide 'dulce de leche' with breakfast! :)

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property. Great service/staff. Easy to reach. Very large and comfy rooms.
Cons: The pool area should have more chairs. I thought the price was a bit too high for a hotel that does not have much to offer. The sauna/spa area is terrible.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wife sums it up: "I feel I am staying in a palace" Individual attention and friendliness from staff. Variety, quality and freshness of everything in breakfast. The sunroom where the breakfast room is located., view to the "cascada" away from the street noise. No TV! (other than in rooms). Good wifi.

7.0 Good
Pros: Beds comfortable in
Cons: The location They advert a spa and they just have a tiny sauna. Shower not great for the price
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The overall hotel setting is amazingly charming and decorated with taste. Ideal to spend time at this boutique property, relax and forget about the noisy city you are at. Efficient staff, always ready to help. Very good breakfast.
Cons: If you travel with heavy luggage and your room is located on the first floor, you will struggle to bring it up and down through the open-air stairs (even worst on rainy weather). No way to avoid spraying water on the bathroom floor when you take a shower, as curtains are very nice but not effective to keep water only inside the shower box.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was excellent, even though there was a problem with the booking, everything went smooth and all the tips I asked for were spot on.
Cons: The room I was, was directly over the restaurant and kitchen, as such there was a some noise at night from the ventilation and people staying late for a drink/talk. Nothing too much though, a slight discomfort is how I would describe it
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything was well thought out.
Cons: Pillows - but they were the only we did not like about this really lovely hotel. The pillows were foam - normally hotels of this calibre offer a choice of pillows, down and/or feathers included.

Pros: The Garden Suite was nothing but spectacular. The staff was extremely helpful every step of the way to arrange airport transfers, taxi and recommend great places to eat. 8.8 Excellent
Pros: Maria gave us a very warm welcome and was extremely helpful organising taxis for us and providing information. We found the beds really comfortable and the apartment was very clean. Breakfast was good with the option of eggs as well as pastries. The garden is lovely, very quiet and private. Central location in a nice area of town.
Cons: The swimming pool needs some attention, the water appeared to be green. One of the reasons I had booked the hotel was because it had a pool as we were visiting in February. Luckily the weather wasn’t too hot while we were there as we would not have been keen to swim in it. The bathroom had a badly cracked sink and would benefit from some modernisation.

Pros: It cannot be beat for the price, especially the price I got through Kayak. Love the staff, Luis at desk could not be more helpful. Location is amazing if you like an arty part of town, but also near main historical attractions. I love it there and will go back.
Cons: Wooden floor in room was slightly grungy, but not really horrible. Everything else was very clean. They ask for suggestions. The lobby is spacious and beautiful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed for only one night but were really pleased with the hotel. The room was big, we had a great breakfast, the staff was very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great room. Beautiful hotel. Good location.
Cons: Nothing
5.5 Okay
Pros: Rooms are ok. A bit old fashion.
Cons: Checkout took for ever. Ok
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good sized room, comfortable bed. Good bathroom with a bath and shower (if you want to use the bath ask reception for the plug). If you have small children, the restaurant provided a half sized, cheaper portion upon request. The walled terrace has some play equipment and is a contained, safe space for children to play. Small public park one block away too.
Cons: On our first stay, a few weeks earlier the night time reception staff were not particularly friendly. However during our second stay the day time and night time reception staff were much friendlier and more helpful. The restaurant staff completely cleared away our breakfast table and food, whilst we were getting more food, two days in a row!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great. We could walk to many of the places we wanted to visit. The staff was exceptionally helpful and courteous. The hotel was very clean and modern and I would definitely stay there anytime in Buenos Aires.
Cons: Breakfast was good but somewhat repetitious. Although not too much of a bother the Subte (Metro) runs right under the street in front of the hotel and it took us a day or so to figure out where the noise was coming from.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Large room. Confy beds. Central location.
Cons: Not welcoming staff at reception and door

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were excellent !! Service was superb! Gustavo at check in, Robert at the bar, Dante at Health Club. All of them (& others too), ...excellent!! Personable, attentive, pleasant & professional. Hotel may be older but still a grand experience . Fresh flowers in room, tea kettle in room along with robes & slippers. Wine store IN Hotel. Breakfast buffet was excellent (included mimosa's/cava!). Hotel restaurant so good, had dinner at Hotel several times. (the "warm" salad was fantastic). Lobby decor & ambiance are beautiful, you definitely feel like you've 'arrived' with the Doorman & Concierge staff at your service. Hotel smells so so good!! Health club opens early & steam/sauna were great way to start & finish the day. Beautiful stay Beautiful Hotel. We will be back!
Cons: Hotel Health club a wee bit 'tired' in spots & men's sauna not hot enough (one of two heating elements has been out of order for months, according to a few reg gym club members). We had requested tea packets to be sent up to room (hadn't been done earlier in day when room was made up) one eve but that didn't happen. Really minute details & complaints on my part though I must say.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A very large comfortable room - quiet and fantastic bed. Lounge access on Level 17 was very good. Staff were courteous and efficient. Breakfast was satisfactory but nothing special. Good location in the centre of town.
Cons: Breakfast selection should be better for a five star hotel
4.3 Okay
Pros: Only the staff and the breakfast was nice. You can not even open the windows to get fresh ait.
Cons: The hotel has charged extra 45.000 pesos as a security and did not release it even after the payment. Total disappointment. I had to deal with my bank and law firms in Buenos Aires.. Also it is not a good location for tourists. It seems good for business travelers.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: As expected with InterContinental Hotels the facility was fantastic. We have stayed in many world over and always feel right at home the moment you walk in and are greeted with the brands familiar decor. This hotel had a lovely outside area that felt so tranquil. Good location, close to restaurants shops and entertainment.
Cons: View from the room not the best, but no fault of the Hotel. Unfortunately that is what a sprawling city looks like.

Pros: Location www very good - close to most sights but quiet.
Cons: Cruise ship overnighters meant things like breakfast were very crowded.

Cons: Not a very exciting neighborhood
9.3 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was our second time staying at Bulnes Eco Suites. We LOVE the front desk staff. They are all so kind and welcoming. A few things we love: Breakfast is right next store at a cafe and is delicious, front door to the hotel is always locked (the front desk is there 24/7 to buzz you in), the rooms are very clean, there are mini refrigerators, microwave, and a small kitchenette for you to prepare food. Bulnes Eco is in a GREAT location. Very close to the Subte (subway) station, a few blocks from a grocery store, the mall, a movie theater, park, etc.

Pros: Excellent friendly staff that spoke English. Very helpful Great room with kitchen. Comfortable bed, great balcony view. Cleaning staff very thorough. I will stay again
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great reception service and facilities in overall good condition
Cons: Breakfast was served on a separate cafeteria nearby. I requested a bottle of water which was not included in the breakfast and I was charged twice the price I paid during the afternoon when I bought another one without saying I was staying at the hotel. There was too much noise coming from the street. The windows do not isolate very well so I would request a higher floor to partially mitigate.
