Position, rustic charm and warm welcome
Understand this is a guy and his castle. No front desk nothing like a hotel - go for the experience Nothing really - we understood what it was all about and it was fantastic.
a real chateaux complete with friendly and interesting owner. loved walking round exploring the grounds and drinking a bottle of wine as the sun set. great great time. there is not really anywhere to eat in the town so eat before arriving
A traditional French auberge. Clean and comfortable with very pleasant staff and security for my motorcycle. I will book again if ever I return to the area. Exceptional value for money.
Comfortable, friendly. Tiny village in proximity to lovely hiking trails.
good value for money, very friendly and helpfull hostess (and spoke english very well which for us was a plus). Restaurant food was real good (though more expensive than the room price.)
We were a group of 3 couples on motorbikes. The lady owner could not have been more helpful when we arrived cold and wet.The hotel was warm and cosy, clean and inviting.Lovely hot shower and comfortable bed.The food was absolutely superb especially as there was a set vegetarian menu ( a first for us in France in years of travelling and excellent). We would definately stay again.
Very customer friendly, English speaking host. Nice family atmosphere. An special early meal was prepared for our child. Good Breakfast!
Superb food - really interesting menu and beatifully cooked and presented. The fresh fish really was fresh - we saw one of the cooks catching it across the road after we ordered it. The vegetarian option was excellent. Very pleasant, helpful and welcoming staff. Good carparking facilities. The dog was made welcome and there was a suitable place to walk her not far away (but across a main road). Our bed was a bit softer in the middle than we would have liked. The hotel is on a sharp bend, and on a hill, on a fairly busy road. Having said that, the location of our room was relatively quiet and we did not mind the constant sound of rushing water from across the road, especially when we learned that the fresh fish came from there.
This was a good one-night stay en route south, The proprietere changed our room when the first one was on the top floor with no lift for quite a lot of luggage. The weather was oppressively hot and we were provided with an effective fan without having to ask. The restaurant was attractive and the food excellent.
A very good dinner with local trout. Friendly staff. Wild trout in the stream in front of the hotel. Noice from the road.
it was wonderful, quiet, beautiful surroundings, the food was delicious, we cannot wait to return for another week-end. no
Large comfortable room. Lovely location. Helpful friendly staff.
Reasonably comfortable room though nothing special - a 70s (?) construction showing a little wear and tear but ok. Restaurant quite good. a pleasant location, taken as a whole. Good parking. Could do with some modernisation, eg. air conditioning
it's a very relaxed atmosphere, every one is polite and friendly, the rooms are very nice and clean.
Room was fine for the price and one night stay.Good view from balcony. Over priced evening meal and no where else locally to eat.Would only recommend for a one night stay.
The friendly staff, the hotel itself was very nice and cosy. The food - steak tough and the fresh fruit old
We arrived in the dark and missed the evening meal. The room smelt of stale cigarettes there was no shower screen on the bath & the bed had sunk in the middle. The breakfast was poor and the resturant was infested with flies. The reception area was unclean and the hotel smelt like an old ashtray.
Country side location, a pond, green field, and woods are a walk away. If you are living in the city, this hotel will be full of refreshment. The room was wide and new, had in-room sauna and Jacuzzi (which on the veranda open to the country scenary). The mistress was very polite and friendly. Dishes at the restraurant were delicious.
Excellent staff.Chalet with private sauna is great: designed room, large and modern with espresso coffee machine.Jacuzzi is great. New and calm place ,very good for relax. Nothing. If I come again- I'll in this place ,any doubts.
It is in a very quiet spot and the owner was very friendly. The rooms were large and modern. Dinner was delicious though a little expensive. The rooms were a little sterile. The coffee machine in the room was one of those annoying hi-tech things. A cafetiere would have been preferable.
The room + facilities were very well appointed, clean, efficient, warm and well designed. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. If I have one suggestion it would be to have explanations how to use the proprietary coffee machine in the room. But that is a very minimal observation. I have some doubts about the restaurant. Although it had a very good and interesting wine list I felt the food was lttle above average in its execution. I hesitated to say this, as the service and attentiveness of the waiting staff was exemplary and the food was consumable without complaint - but it was lacking in commitment.
Smart, clean room, Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was only available as room service and represented very poor value for money compared with the breakfasts we ate at the other hotels this week in France.
The food at the restaurant was delicious and not so expensive. The room was very cute and the coffee provided lovely. The balcony attached to the room was a delightful place to end our night with a glass of wine. The bed was only a double/
Confort, dimension of the room and the design of the furnitures. It was impossible make a sauna because the heating system don't work.
Extremely informative host on arrival who made sure we had everything we needed
The staff were brilliant, really lovely people. The restaurant has great food. The location is peaceful, green and spacious. Its ideal if a trip to Ronchamp is planned! One of the best little hotels I have come across. none
