Located on the Beach/Boardwalk in The Heart of Virginia Beach. The hotel offers an indoor heated pool, fitness center, guest laundry facilities, free wireless internet, an oceanfront restaurant, free on-site garage parking as well as a spacious meeting room. Every guest room offers a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee makers and all rooms are oceanfront and offer private balconies.
I will come back for sure. A clean hotel, good location and friendly staff, without forgetting the indoor pool, my family liked it.
Excellent front desk clerks. Helpful and polite. The room was clean. Pool was good. Breakfast was wonderful very large selection.
EXCELLENT CHOICE!!! OCEANFRONT...CLEAN.....NICE AND BIG ROOM. VERY GOOD BREAKFAST EVERY DAY. MY HUSBAND, MY SON AND MYSELF WE REALLY ENJOYED STAYING AT THIS HOTEL.
I was so disappointed with our experience to Virginia Beach. The hotel is right on the beach, but the beach was filthy. I had to constantly tell my 3 year old to put trash down in the sand. The hotel wasn't much better. We were told there would be no problem checking in earlier than the 4 p.m. check in time. I gave my phone number and was told we'd hear something in the next hour (this was around 11 a.m.). I came back in a few hours later, nothing. Finally I came back in after 4 and was finally ushered to our room. First bad interaction with staff. The first floor smells like onions. They have key card access to keep the beach riff-raff out of the hotel - great idea, but you must execute on keeping the doors shut! There were tons of people walking around. Our hotel room had stains all over the carpet and the door to the balcony would not open. We were there for two nights. Other guests in this hotel must stay out until all hours of the night. We heard couples fighting both nights. One phrase that stands out is, 'Im going to pull an Ike on you.' Does that give you a glimpse of the clientele here? Housekeeping doesn't come until 3 p.m. on the first floor. The breakfast was okay - the breakfast staff was by far the best, but the overall dining room area seemed pretty dingy. I was very unimpressed with this hotel, hotel location and cleanliness of this place. I will never go back. I had to do 6 loads of laundry when I got home to attempt to 'clean' the filth out of our belongings. If I ever have to go back to Viriginia Beach we will be staying at the Hilton.
fair for the money. lots of small problems. our maid was excellent
Free wi-fi. Free breakfast. Free parking. That's just the start. The hotel couldn't be better situated along Virginia Beach, pretty central on the boardwalk. It's in a great location and footsteps from the beach. Whereas many places will nickel-and-dime you for the above, they are all free here. A little on the $$ side if you're going during a peak time (Labor Day weekend), but otherwise very reasonable considering everything else is included. Great view and sounds from the ocean front rooms!
This hotel has the best location with great views of the Board Walk. You are steps away from the water. The room has very old furnishings and the rooms are very plain. The parking garage is a nightmare. There are beams and pillars every where making it hard to park even for a modest size car. The staff was warm and friendly. The free breakfast was just the essential and low quality. Watch out for the grease in the sausage and bland egg substitute. Overall I would recommend a stay based on the location alone but don't plan on lots of great perks from the hotel. Their restaurant was good but pricey.
They had yummy cookies in the afternoon and a great breakfast each morning.
For the 2nd year in a row we have stayed here for the annual marathon and it is a great place to stay. Hotel is nice, staff is friendly and accomodating, breakfast is good and so are the cookies!
The room exceeded my expectations and offered comfort and a lovely view from our 7th floor window.
We enjoyed our stay at the Country Inn and Suites while in town for the Wicked 10k. The hotel was older than what I had imagined, but it has been renovated and was actually quite comfortable. The hot breakfast was pretty good and I also liked that there was a fridge and microwave in the room.
I would stay again at this hotel. The hotel was clean and in a great location on the beach.
Very modern decor for a hotel with a name of Country Inn! Pleasant surprise and great accomodations.
were it not for the horrible weather(poring rain) for the entire trip it would have been wonderful. i would recommend this hotel! even saw dolphin from room balcony in the pouring rain!
The room was clean and had a great view of the ocean. However, the TV got terrible reception and there wasn't a pay-per-view option. There was no hot tub, and although there was an indoor heated pool, half-way through our visit they turned the heat off. This wouldn't have been too much of a problem if the pool room had been heated, but it was only around 70 degrees. (Not so great in December). Nonetheless, the staff was friendly and breakfast (waffles, fruit, coffee, eggs, sausage, pastries, juice, etc.) was provided. I would stay here again in the off-season as we only paid $*. per night. But given the overall shabbiness of the hotel I'm not sure it would be worth full price one pays during the summer months.
