Pros. The location was good, it is located close to popular stores and restaurants
Cons. This is listed as a non smoking facility. As soon as I stepped foot on our floor the entire place smelled like Marijuana. I reported this, but it continued throughout all 4 days of our stay. I like to leave the sliding door open to listen to the ocean, and could not do that or sit on the balcony because people were smoking Marijuana and I use an inhaler. Plus it made my 11 year old feel unsafe because we are 2 young females, and the facility has a drug issue. We were unable to sleep the first night because the AC was iIbroken, and it was HUMID. The next day they did replace the unit. The handle in the shower was falling off, so I could not get decent water pressure, and the temperature kept changing. I had to be really quick to take a shower. I could not wash my hair at all. I really didn't want to be in long anyways because the tub was filthy, but I had to take a shower. The way their wifi is set up doesn't make sense at all. We could not connect half of our smart devices, and the ones we did connect kept going out. They claimed that I could not be partially refunded because they wanted me to continuously move rooms. The marijuana was every where, and I am on standby for a major emergent back surgery and I can't keep moving all of our stuff. The prices were high given COVID-19, and everything is shut down. Also, in terms of COVID-19 you would think the few people in the facility would be spaced out...Nope, everyone was on the same floor directly next to each other. I come to VA beach a lot, and would not come back. I usually stay at the Westin, it is always clean and well maintained, and drug free.
Pros. The staff were exceptionally helpful and cheerful. Felt comfortable staying here
Cons. The only thing we had any issue with was the air conditioner. Was just a bit loud
