The rooms were very nicely done. The included breakfasts were great, large home cooked meals. The owner/manager was very pleasant and shared a lot of Virginia City's history. The B&B itself was full of history. The view from the porch right outside our room was amazing. There isn't anything negative I can say about our stay ...
I reserved 2 beds in each of the 2 rooms I booked weeks in advance and booked through the hotel to make sure I got what I requested. I even asked for a higher floor and paid extra for it. They told me they were sold out and that's all they had left although there was a line of people before and after me getting rooms... That didn't make since. This was my 4 time staying there and was really disappointed in the experience
Nothing Smoking and dirty rooms Every restaurant had a wait
The whole place N/A
Noise rooms can hear people upstairs and either side late @ night 4am Manger wouldn't stop the noise
Staff went above and beyond making sure needs were meant. Always grateful with great customer service. Trash cans in room could have a paper bag or plastic in order to properly dispose of any trash accumulated in room.
Everything Everything was great
Clean rooms, restaurant staff nice, nice arcade and bowling alley. Missing safe, missing refrigerator, missing blow dryer in the room. Claimed that Nevada state fire code does not allow rollaway in a room with 2 beds and there is no mention of this when booking. I can't find this mentioned anywhere in any code online, so it seems like a BS reason. The square footage was certainly big enough to accommodate it.
Front Desk lady provided Smoking floor but didn't disclose it to us when we checked in. We found out from a guest in the elevator. My daughter and I couldn't sleep the entire night. We inhaled lots of 2nd hand smokes in our lungs. Complaints to Front Desk manager and she said there's no guarantee the guests will get non smoking room, even we have a child in our room. This is ridiculous!
Had an amazing dinner at the Cantina restaurant. I'd go back to the hotel just to go there for dinner. The food and the service there was fantastic and was the thing that kept my stay from being a total disappointment. I learned that hotel casino resorts aren't for me. I was put into one of their renovated rooms and it wasn't very clean. There was dirt on the floor and a couple of toenail clippings under the desk. The renovation was ugly. The bathroom with it's floor to ceiling brown marble and black vanity and very poor lighting was like being in a cave. Not all the lamps in my room worked. Why would a "resort" hotel renovate the rooms and put the same old lumpy bed back in there? The first night I was there the heat in my room didn't work. However, it was fixed rather quickly. If you're traveling with a family and looking for a place to stay where there is a lot of stuff in one location and you feel like letting your kids run around and act like animals while you sit in front of a slot machine getting drunk then I suppose this is the place to be. If you enjoy a hotel where there are drunk people smoking in the hallways at 8 a.m., kids running around and screaming in the public areas and having to wait in line for 45 minutes just to check out then this is the place for you. There are other hotels in the area that are cleaner and less expensive
When I called the front desk to request checking out at 1pm, she said $20 extra charge plus tax and repeated for a few times emotionless. Most time this hotel's rate per night is about $20.
Was offered an upgrade upon check-in and it did not disappoint. The room was clean, spacious, great views of the mountains and city, and comfortable bed. The temperature was set at a comfortable 67 degrees and the housekeeping staff was very courteous in understanding of our being in the room later and cleaned it promptly after. We are locals and GSR is consistently rated as one of the better casinos and staying there was no exception. There needs to be a bit more communication between front desk staff and housekeeping. When we extended our stay by a day (having work done on our house) apparently that message was not conveyed to housekeeping who was trying to kick my boyfriend out. It was resolved, but created some hassle for him.
Large casino, lots of places to eat and things to do. Can literally stay there and not leave for anything. Lots of slot machines, tables. Wasn't very clean, room smelled like smoke even though non smoking room. There was hair in the shower and bathroom that was not ours. The room was just generally rundown.
Decent Buffet food. Pool and gym. Was not put in the tower we paid for. Given a dirty room in the west tower, which is under construction throughout the night. No sleep for two nights. No casino service or apologies. Wouldn't return unless given a nice offer.
Location and ease of making reservations With the wind blowing outside, we could hear it through the windows. We stayed in the older tower (East). Just hearing that most of the night and morning and in the hallways was a bit disconcerting.
The price They say they have new rooms but we got a crappy old room and the ac barley worked
Poor cleanliness of bed clothes and bathroom. People in the next room were smoking marihuana and the smell passed trough a shared door between rooms. Table lamp and alarm clock didn't work. Old T.V. Nasty place.
+ Clean, value, kids' have fun in the arcade section, easy to find parking, remodeled room - Road noise from outside windows, someone smoke in the non-smoking room before
I got a corner room on the 20thfloor overlooking downtown and it was easily the best view I've ever had in a hotel in Reno. It was sort of breathtaking actually. Complete panaramic views. Wow.
Swimming pool was closed for maintenance My room has broken heater/AC, had to switch room
The pool is awesome Mildew in the shower. Carpets appeared to be very dirty.
Rooms were large, clean and comfortable, front desk staff very friendly and also quick to resolve a problem, great location amd fantastic value for price Airport shuttle only ran once an hour, the rooms weren't very quiet and elevator was quite loud/shaky in West Tower
The wing we were in was modern, clean and spacious. The only thing bad was you could really hear the freeway, it doesn't seem to be so sound proof. However it wasn't too too bad, just not ideal for people who want to sleep soundly,
Not much My service
only paid $25 for the room so wasn't expecting much. it was beautiful! two huge beds, big bathroom and kitchenette with a keurig. and that view! the casino and pool were awesome too. most of the staff was very frendly but we did get harassed by one casino staff member and a security guard. my friend and i (ages 24 and 25) admittedly look a little young. however this night we were dressed up and wearing makeup. a member of staff ID'ed us multiple times and i guess didn't believe we were over 21 so called security on us. i could have understood this but the way the security guard went about it was so rude. he came up to us and, not at all discretely, asked us for other forms of ID and stood there interrogating us for several minutes in front of everybody. it was really embarrassing and disappointing. after we sufficiently proved our identities he didn't apologize or anything and just walked away.
They stuck us in the West Wing- an added hotel in the parking lot with an outside entrance in below freezing temps and the elevator was broken...
Cleanliness friendly staff Slow wifi ended up turning it off and using the data from my own plan why pay for an upgrade when I already pay for a phone plan?
The entire staff was friendly and genuinely interested in helping. On premise restaurants seemed rather pricy.
Big rooms , clean beads , friendly personal , amazing place 100% recommended ***** best resort in Reno nv Everything
Comfortable bed, big rooms, nice restaurant options and large gaming area with many slot machines, video poker, table games, etc. Convenient to many resorts of the Lake Tahoe area for skiing and snowboarding. Good package deals available with room discounts and resort credit included. Room was fairly dark even with the lamps on. Had to unplug a lamp to be able to plug in and use the keurig coffee maker in the room. Shower door has no handle on the inside to close it, had to grab bottom of door to close from the inside.
I LOVED the staff. From the time I checked in, I felt welcomed. I loved the room...very luxurious, great value. I called down to the front desk for many things at different times and every shift had fabulous people. Even the ladies at the cafe have great service. I will absolutely come back and bring my family! Thank you very much!
the clean rooms the cold and snow
Close to where I needed to be for a friend's wedding The non-smoking rooms smelled like smoke, had to air them out for a day with the window open to get the smoke out. The front desk was generally slow, the sheets had holes in them and were not tucked in well.
The room is very spacious, comfortable bed and quiet room. we've booked three rooms and overall my whole family really enjoy the stay. upon check out, the FD associate there's a restaurant charge in one of our room. obviously, we never dine in or call room service during our stay. with family of us, we leave early in the hotel and coming late at night to sleep and rest. I hope this wrong charges will not despite my future stay. Thanks.
It was a room for the night. Rude front desk staff, smokey, dated decor, not cool. Won't stay here again.
Very nice, we really enjoyed our stay
We used and appreciated the clean and complete health facility. We thought it would be closer to the river for walking but it was a drive.
Location was convenient. The Silver Legacy, the El Dorado, and Circus Circus are joined so you can walk between without going to street level. Lots of selection for food. Friends who booked directly with the hotel were upgraded while those who didn't were not. My bed was firm as a rock on the peasant levels of the tower and my shoulder is still hurting from sleeping on the bed. My entire room could fit inside the bathroom of the other travelers. The room didn't have a fridge and was mediocre for the price.
I have to wait for one hour while my room need to be cleaned first, it was already about 7 PM when I checked-in. Good thing I was travelling with friends and can stay at their room. The room was clean, good size, and comfy, I don't have any complain considering it was holiday time and lots of people in and out. The only issue is parking. Most of them is compact size and lots of minivans just jamming in without considering other people. Need to work on that.
Free airport shuttle, speedy early check in with no hassle. Decent pool and hot tub. Easy access to casino, restaurants and salon. Terrible nachos from pool bar. Clogged tub. Remote control needed new batteries. And they charged an overnight resort fee despite that I didn't stay the night.
While the hotel was otherwise pleasant... I had about $3,000 worth of belongings stolen from my car during daylight hours. When filing a report with hotel security, it became clear that their job was not to assist me but to protect the hotel, as the first words out of each of their mouths were, "The hotel isn't liable for your stuff." Security also refused to show or provide me the security video from the parking lot, although supposedly shared with the police. A shame they can't keep their own parking lot secure.
Front desk was awesome, very friendly and helpful. The room I stayed in needed vacuuming.
A large variety of restaurants to choose from. Connected to surrounding casinos.
Staff were nice, check in and check out was smooth. Hotel is showing its age. Our room was close to the elevator, and we could hear it going all night.
Staff was above and beyond helpful and friendly.
Everything was great, good hotel, excellant location. Should be a mini fridge in every room I had a small ice chest with that I always bring on vacations so I just kept refilling with hotel ice machine to keep my food cold.
The rooms No buffet
Nice, clean rooms, fast check-in, complimentary champagne while waiting to check-in, good restaurants. Machines were tight, not paying out enough to keep me interested.
Good customer service. Room comfortable. The bathrooms need to be updated. Pool wasn't available, was under construction. No notification about it.
Rooms were very nice and updated, facility was clean and lots of great restaurants available. The Casino smoke stayed downstairs in the casino. The Napa Bistro was an excellent choice for dinner and the Sauvignon Blanc for $10 a glass was amazing! The Purple Parrot restaurant gave me indigestion from the French toast (which I had to send back from all the black charred flakes covered all over my toast from the flat griddle). The air quality needs improvement. My nose and throat were congested, scratchy, and irritated from the smoke in the casino downstairs.
Excellent rooms, gym, Internet, value. Buffets and happy hour at Napa bistro Smoke smell in hallways. Resort fee was more than advertised on kayak. Front desk didn't know of $10 free play that was part of purchased room package.
Their buffet is second to none in Reno! Comfortable clean rooms with great views of the sierras. We stayed here for the close proximity to the convention center. Kids enjoyed the pool. $21 per day resort fee tacked on to room.
It was very clean and all the staff was very friendly and accommodating There is no night life for young travelers and the drinks where mostly flavoring and not alcohol
Napa Bistro happy hour. Great beds and linens. Nice rooms. 3rd party reservations were wrong. I had to contact them to get it corrected. Took 1 hour. Didn't win, even a little.
Rooms are nice and comfy. Very kid friendly, my kiddos loved the arcade. Our last time we visited we had free rooms and a refrigerator was in our room so this time we paid for our rooms and I was expecting to have a fridge. But there wasn't one and I called service desk and it cost $20/night. We already paying for room and resort fees, expensive dining and see were still going to have to pay for that!!! Not well ventilated.
Nice, clean room. Friendly staff It would have been nice to have a mini-refrigerator in the room for left overs. Drink service while gambling was not the best. I had to keep tracking down the cocktail waitress
Hair balls in bath dub. I was lecturing and this was paid for by host yet they claimed I was responsible for resort fee not host. Unhelpful and greedy
Had everything I could have asked for. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was clean and a great value.
Staff was great from the shuttle drivers on the way in, to the driver on the way out. They went out of their way to assist with any requests, were always friendly and responsive. Rooms are nicely updated and the beds are comfortable. Close to the airport. Indoor pool. The standard pillows are terrible. However, they do have a pillow menu you can order from, which I did on the last night and it saved my sleep. It is a little far from the main downtown area, but super convenient to the airport and convention center.
Everything The spa was out of this world Every one of your staff truly cares Very personable Outstanding
I enjoyed size, restaurants, staff, gaming. Loved the comfort. NA
Every thing was excellent...The bed was so comfortable when we returned home we bought one just like it.. The only thing I didn't like was there little tray on the dresser that had snacks on it..you had to be very careful not to bump it because you could be charged for one of them if they moved to much..I don't mind the mini bar but on the dresser were you like everything was not good..
Restaurants closed at anywhere from 8 to 9. Pool was located in the middle of the hotel on the 4th floor and the sun was blocked by a tower for a portion of the day. The casino paid out little money and there were never any desire to sign you up with a players card.
How close it was to the show that we were going to everything is right there whether it be going to another casino or going shopping I stayed many times at the El Dorado in the past the staff was always so friendly at not only the hotel all the restaurants, bars, and Casino floors not so much this time They used to have awesome coupons that they gave you when you checked in I wasn't so impressed with them this time.
The mattress was VERY comfortable. the shower head was a joke! Had to work to even get wet! The toilet had a slight leek that would cause the tank to refill just a bit occasionally thru the night. The pillows were to firm for a side sleeper. All were the same thickness. Not a variety of thickness'
Quiet and peaceful! All the staff were friendly and helpful. Liked everything.
I always appreciate the friendly, helpful staff at the Eldorado. Everyone always seems happy and in a good mood. They are very helpful and pleasant to deal with. The rooms are comfortable and have everything I need.
They down sized my original reservation from a king size bed to a queen size bed, because they didn't have any more available, the room they put me in it was to small, with a lot of malfunctions in it, like the tub was clogged, the shower temperature control handle wasn't working, room was dirty. Just to name a few. Very bad experience with it.
Allowed us to walk around in comfort versus wearing motorcycle gear. Reno and Vegas prices just keep going up.
Were renovating rooms on the floor I was on. It was extremely loud and made it hard to sleep in after a night out.
How we got the room Thru Kayak Parking
great selection of restaurants extra fees on top of room rates. Total price should be included in initial quotes.
The staff was always pleasant and Happy! I hope they get treated as well as they treated us! Now on the other hand the facility is extremely out of date and could use a face lift! The bed was actually comfy but the sheets were old and tattered. Every surface in our room was disgusting! There was sticky stuff on every surface top. It was late and they couldn't get someone up to our room to clean it off in a timely manner. I took a wash rag and cleaned them off myself. When I was done the wash rag was very dirty and gross! You definitely get what you pay for here!!
Cheap rooms during the week. Weekend they double up! No late night eating. Half of the restaurants are closed.
Price When I tried to modify my reservation by leaving a day early. I notified them at check-in. It was refused. So I had to pay for a day after I had left the hotel. Very poor customer relations
My kid loved the arcade and midway game area. Food options are not great.
The overall stay was okay. It took about an hour or two just to check in. Restaurants took a very long time as well. The room was as expected for the price and the casino was as well. Overall it was okay.
I've stayed here a few times, and have had no problems. This time however I purposely paid for a king room, but they gave me 2 queens. When I asked about it they said they had no more. However I went online and saw that they had tons more. The staff member was not friendly about it either or reimbursed me for the amount I paid for a king room. I hate wasting money for somthing I didn't receive. Probably won't stay here next time.
They charged me $14 extra on top of what I already paid to Kayak. Unfair and a misrepresentation.
Had to adjoining rooms. Staff not very friendly and long wait to check-in.
Great value for the money Upon check in they tried to charge a resort fee that wasn't mentioned anywhere in my reservation. I was able to get them to waive it but they seemed perturbed. Also the cleanliness of the room was pretty bad. At a glance it looked great, but a closer look revealed stains on the sheets as well as sand or something crumb-like. The bathroom needed a deep cleaning as well.
They lady who check us in, felt like she was very cold and not plasent at all. She did not smile or say thank you , nothing to make u feel welcome .
Enjoyed the restaurants and like that it's connected to other hotels. Enjoyed my stay and I would go back The room could of been cleaner, it looked like it needed to be vacuumed in the entry way. Staff was very nice and polite.
The location is great and it was very clean Our bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. The air conditioner hardly worked at all
cheaper rate no good food.
Every single thing...!!! Food, fun, full of great people & full of peace...!!! You can have everything together...
Lvd that it ws quite n no talking. Great room..
They were very accommodating for our dog, even had a full floor dedicated to ppl traveling with pets. We stayed with our puppy, and they gave us a room that smelled horribly of dog pee. It sank into my clothes and stuff and kept me up more than half the night. There was no fan in the bathroom or window to open to even lessen the smell. That made the entire stay disgusting. They charged for EVERYTHING!!! Even if we needed water we had to go all the way downstairs to get tiny cups filled by the bar just so they wouldn't charge us $3. They charged a fee to rent a crate for the night. The pet relief are was a complete mess. It looked like no one ever took care of it. And it was just a sandbox stuck in the back of the hotel.
nothing driver was 25 min late. Had to sprint thru airport, as we hit the plane the staff was in the process of giving our seats away and we had to stop him. It worked out in the end, but in the case of flights, where time is very sensitive, punctuality is the most important factor.
Very good location! Easy to find foods and activities. Tv was not able to turn on. We made call after calls to front desk & service center. Then, we waited over 5 hours before someone showed up past midnight. All they said was sorry.
Great Location Great Staff Shuttle to and from Airport - Edwin is Awesome! My bed made me itch. Not sure if it was detergent, bugs... I slept on top of the covers. The shower drain drained slowly.
Good price It stinks in there
Got booked in east tower room was large and clean. Plenty of slot machines and sports book close to you right by elevator. How ever if you win you need to walk to the west wing to cash in a long walk. The bathroom toilet leaked over night witch caused me to slip and fall on my butt in morning. I informed the lady at check out she told me she would get house keeping on it. However no apologies or even An enquirer if I was alright. I must say as a person who works with the public for a living I was a little disappointed in the reaction. I was not looking for any comps but a simple are you Okay would have went a long way
The craps table Checking in to the hotel took forever. Someone took the time to hand out water when it would've made more sense to put him behind the desk and check people in faster. Every time I Sam ray at a harrahs the line is ridiculous and it feels as if the desks are not staffed properly to handle the volume.
Didn't like much. Poor experience at the buffet. Parking garage full each night I was there. Not enough tables open in casino. Jacuzzi and gym shut down due to broken pipe. Not friendly. Dirty bathroom and carpet filthy.
Light from hall visible under the door and not conducive for sleeping. Large space under the door also allowed for transmission of sounds as guests came and went through the halls throughout the night.
The spa is always my favorite thing to do at the Atlantis. The smoke that just sits in the casino. I am not a smoker but even when you get back to your non- smoking room you have to shower or the room smells like a smokers room.
This was our third stay at the Atlantis, using only the hotel, no gambling. We have found the hotel to be consistently clean, comfortable, well equipped and easy to check in and out. The beds are especially comfortable, and the room blacks out nicely for a later sleep. We found that the three times we had breakfast in the Purple Parrot, that the food was consistently well prepared and well served. We love the place. The only criticism is the ever present cigarette smoke. Though not very apparent in the hotel room, it is strong in the lobby due to the proximity with the gambling facilities. In the Purple Parrot, where we ate breakfast, it was noticeable, but not enough to spoil the enjoyment of the wholesome food served. We would stay there again if passing through Reno. Cigarette smoke, but we understand the nature of a Casino business. Thank goodness the hotel room and breakfast restaurant were substancially smoke free.
We are travelers from Hawaii arriving very late in the middle of the night. What a pleasure it was to find such a welcoming staff to receive us. Every interaction that we had was a joy. Management is doing a terrific job of hiring the best staff. We will most definitely think of Atlantis whenever we are in Reno. Everything was wonderful – the room and cleanliness was top notch.
rooms were horrible. moldy bathroom, a/c didnt work, hair dryer didnt work, room felt dirty. ended up with a few bed bug bites. party above room until 2:30 am when finally called security. yuk yuk yuk !! never again. used to be okay. not any more.
The pictures didn't show the outside for a reason. The hotel rooms and hallways smelled musty, old, and smoky. I would not recommend staying here.
Saff at front desk were friendly and very helpful. Room on 4th floor had a view. On our first visit the pool & spa were closed. On our second visit the indoor pool was open and very enjoyable. First visit - Pool & Spa were closed due to chemical balance issues.
Comfort of bed, spacious room, refrigerator, view of mountains. I had a nonsmoking room. I had a nonsmoking room which was fine but the hallways smelled pretty strongly of nicotine.
We were pleasantly surprised. The room was a good size with a comfortable bed. There were several dining options to choose from. We ate in the coffee shop twice and the portions were big and a reasonable price. The marina outside our room was very nice and looked relaxing. If we are in the area again we will plan on staying there. The casino had a very smoky smell
I like the location being so close to the freeway and shops and restaurants were easy to find. And the Casino restaurants were very good and I enjoyed playing Black Jack at the tables. It was a bit loud at night but being attached to a casino I understand that you're going to have people going in and out of their room at all hours.
i thought it was stupid that I had to do a $50 dollar deposit when I checked in. The point of paying ONLINE was to pay for EVERYTHING IN ADVANCE!! The stay was ok. I only slept for one night there, so it was fine but the HIDDEN FEES is just terrible. Oh and people could smoke inside of the hallways of the hotel when it's a closed building. Overall, I just hated the dumb deposit.
Clean; neat; many new positive room changes; quiet; near shopping; lots of security seen; staff friendly; talking with other resident, all liked this place; BEST deal in NV for quality and price!!! Loved the lake behind for relaxing and saying 'Howdy' to others. Just GOOD!! Bathroom door squeaked; tv color was poor; on weekend, so busy couldn't get into restaurants until late evening;
The neatness, friendliness of the staffs and above all the location is fabulous.
Conveniently located, plenty of parking. Went to check out, realized that I left my wallet in my room. In that time, the room had been turned over a member of the staff and my wallet was gone. Upon reporting this to the front desk, they referred me onto security. The security guard who walked up told me that it may show up later. I asked if I could leave my phone number, and file a theft report. I was told that he wouldn't take my phone number, because he'd probably be too busy to call me and that I should just keep calling the lost and found. Thankfully, I was travelling with my girlfriend, or I wouldn't have been able to get home to Seattle. Thanks for nothing Western Village.
easy to find no breakfast
Location (edge of Reno, rather than the heart. Good for people passing through) Beds Price Casino (updated and clean) Windows in the rooms Rooms were updated Common space like hallways and elevator were dingy Smoke smell EVERYWHERE, even non-smoking rooms Bathrooms in rooms were not updated
Given what housekeeping had to work with; they do make effort to keep common areas tidy. Staff ambivalent & abrupt poor food quality choices on site antiquated facility with obvious wear over the decades not maintained rocking aged elevators
Convenient location in downtown Reno with good parking and cheap rooms. Although I requested and was given a non-smoking room, the smell of smoke and other ghastly odors were more than I could bear. After checking into my original room, I moved to another, but stayed only one night of my three day planned stay.
One problem was that the bathtub was plugged and would not drain.
Noise pipes, vents
The Sands is a clean, friendly hotel that's easy on your budget! It's also within walking distance to other casinos if you want to venture out. Our room was close to the elevator, which was kind of a distraction due to the noisiness. Be sure to ask for a room furthest from the elevators.
Location Require $75 security deposit, but the staff refused to give me a written statement to say that I have been cleared with security deposit when I was checking out. What happens if I did not break or steal anything inside the room when I check out but was charged such expenses later on my credit card as security deposit? I then have no proof to defend myself again such charge. The check out staff, Mr. Vince P did not really know the meaning of "customer service".
Very happy stay at dirt cheap prices. Clean and quiet room. No hassles at all. I'd stay again.
low prices, internet included, free parking terrible martini, but it was only $3! no gym or pool, but it is a gambling hotel.
Restaurant downstairs old fashioned and good Everything thing else
Simple, good people Signs to location of front desk not placed very logically
I did not like the fact that i was charged a 13 dollar charge for the resort fee even I was already charge that when I booked the room and also that I had to put a 75 dollar deposit down. Plus when i got my receipt it was confusing and for some reason they're charging me the 13 dollar fee again and i'm only getting 49 dollars back. We did no damage to the room and stay for one night. Will definitely not be staying there away.
Room was sizable, nice view of city & surrounding snow capped mountains. On property food selection is handy with Starbucks onsite. Easy access & free parking. Front desk supervisor helpful. If you are looking for a quiet accommodation this is NOT it! Property is wedged between freeway and railroad tracks. Yes, trains run 24x7! Walls are paper thin, with ongoing foot traffic in hallways all night. However, the lack of internet service is inexcusable. Hotel management blocks unpaid access and for the upgrade you may enjoy literally hours of offshore technical support. I left at 11pm on my second night to find more appropriate ambiance and the business service that should be a top priority for any modern facility. Smoking permitted on first/lobby floor leaves a bad impression for the health conscious.
Clean non smoking and no casino with reasonable rate No swimming pool
Coffer maker in the room was nice...personal Keurig Breakfast was bad and one morning there was no hot food.
Smoke free, non-casino Slow elevator; no service elevator
The room and bed were comfy I like everything pritty much
Renovated but it's still an old building. Has everything you would expect a hotel room to have. Good view. Staff was great. Everything felt cheap. The room has only one winow ando the bath tub felt like it was flexing underneath me. Walls are very thin. And you can hear everything out side. Only parking was valet unless you wanted to walk.
Place was clean looked modern. The only Thing was the location it was in the heart of Reno but had a few pan handlers approach me. However I think that's just how Reno is now in general
Comfort The bed was fantastic--one of the best I've slept in at a hotel. The rooms are kept very clean and the housekeeping staff are great. Location -Upside The location is very convenient and makes access to surrounding events and venues a short walk. Family Friendly Non-smoking and non-gaming make this a unique hotel perfect for families. The climbing walls (indoor and outdoor) looked like a lot of fun and I would have tried them had I not been so busy. Cramped and slow The elevators are slow and malfunctioned several times during my stay. The entry felt as though I was sneaking in the back door of a night club. There was no convenience store and all of the public areas felt cramped. Location - Downside The convenient location can be a bad thing as my last night found me trying to sleep with a rock concert going on in the street literally under my window. Admittedly, though, I did try to go to bed early and the music was over by 10:30. Internet Deficiency The W-Fi was horrible. It was spotty and required accepting of the terms every time it reconnected. The Wi-Fi that's free with your stay was slower than my cell phone and the broadband we paid for in hosting a conference wasn't much faster. *What's worse, that broadband was down for two of the three days of our conference.* That was a whole lot of money down the tubes.
Hipster vibe, very friendly staff, downtown location, clean, good beds and sheets, nice big room. They are trying hard, with some good ideas. And some room for improvement. Stay here...give them the benefit of the doubt...enjoy the quirkiness. 1. The restaurant and bar and room service closes at 9pm...10 pm... on the weekends. Seriously??? 2. There was not a guide to the hotel included in the room. A rock climbing gym that is the entire 2nd floor and one whole face of the building...kinda cool...but explain it to me. How's it work? Other services? 3. The menu under the glass top of the night table...really? Pretty cheesy. Put the menu in the hotel guide, see above. 4. Glass tops on the night tables? Really? 5. The bathroom was tiny and not well remodelled - tiny tub, shower head at about 5'3"...I'm 6'4", I could barely wash my armpits...
The entire place was incredibly clean! Thank goodness for a Non-Casino based Hotel in Reno! Finally a place we can stay without all the noise and awful smoke! Nothing worse for a non smoker than waking up sick in the morning from all the smoke you had to wade through; or worse the smoke that seeps into your room. We will definitely be back, see you soon! Parts of the surrounding blocks are a bit shady looking. BUT it appears to be improving.
This hotel is a gem in the middle of the desert. The location is fantastic, within walking distance from many attractions. The rooms were private and relatively noise-canceling. The only time we heard our neighbors was when they would let the doors slam. The absolute best part about the hotel is that the entire venue is smoke-free and non-gaming. Check out was a breeze, and valet had our car ready before we made it down from our room. Overnight valet parking was a bit expensive, especially for those who do not require in and out privileges. Vegetarian options in regards to room service were very limited, but it wouldn't keep us from coming back.
Location, good service and cleanliness. Non smoking a plus. Good size room. The finish line to a marathon was right outside the hotel and someone was using a loud speaker at 7AM IN THE MORNING to announce runners crossing and getting the crowd riled up. Then police on a motorcycle proceeded to use their sirens as the runners were getting getting close and finishing. Went on foe more than an hour. That was awful. Had I known I would have stayed somewhere else. Did not get the sleep and rest I was looking for Sunday morning because of the marathon. It was awful.
Loved almost everything about the hotel except it was a little pricey for the amenities it provides. Price is relative to surrounding hotels, but it seems to offer less overall unless you pay even more extra to access "Club Level" amenities. Tried to eat dinner at Roundabout Grill, which is the restaurant located at the hotel, but order was taken incorrectly after being asked about it twice, so the wrong food was brought out then it took an extra 20+ minutes to get the correct food. The staff was very kind and accommodating in trying to correct the mistake, but due to time constraints with other activities, I was forced to ask for a refund and never had a chance to eat the food which was wasted along with the hour I spent waiting. This won't keep me from trying to eat there on another trip, but it was a pretty frustrating experience especially as a guest of the hotel.
Receipt in my email on morning of checkout The check in clerk didn't understand the online checkin process, making me "register" like I walked in off the street. Also didn't acknowledge my hhonors status.
The staff, from the front desk to housekeeping, are the very best and the friendliest I've ever experienced. Everyone was willingly to help and always with a smile upon their faces! The facility and rooms were top rated as well as extremely beautiful and clean. Recommended to anyone at anytime!
Clean and great breakfast Very noisy. Young children running the hallways and banging on doors in evening. Lots of noise on floor above too. Three times kids knocked on our door- twice they ran away when it was opened. Once they said sorry, wrong room.
Customer service was terrible.
Breakfast 2nd day was not very appetizing
Courteous and helpful staff, great Continental breakfast

Very friendly and courteous staff, cleanliness, complimentary breakfast, ease of check in and parking
The friendly staff Nothing
Maids did not make noise or attempt to enter the room until later in the morning. Location is fantastic. Place was clean and in good shape. Once in a while the planes would make some noise early in the AM.
The hotel is very convenient to the Reno Airport. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The walls are extremely thin. Unfortunately my neighbor had a winter cold, and was up coughing all night which meant I was up listening all night. The walls are so thin that I could hear when they pushed the off switch on the night stand. Also, the heating is not central, and the window system was very loud when it would kick on every couple hours. Overall, not a good night sleep. I was in room 223. Perhaps other rooms or floors have better insulation.
Nice, clean, decently priced hotel located very conveniently at the entrance to the Reno Tahoe airport. We had a very early flight and not having to stress about traffic, etc. to get to the airport on time allowed us to get a very good night's sleep before our early a.m. wake up call. They also had a shuttle ready and willing to take us directly to the airport. Not a thing....
Room and Accommodations Had to call a cab to the airport. The shuttle doesn't run at 4am for an early flight. Very disappointing.
Unlike high rise hotels, it's very easy to get in and out of the Garden Inns.
I have been staying here for almost 18 months regularly as part of my projects in Reno. I have also stayed at some of the Casino properties in the area. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate Jeff Peason's staff here. They just treat me like family.
This hotel was what I expected of a Hilton. It was easy to access from the freeway. I fell safe in the hotel and neighborhood. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Used the refrigerator but not the microwave but glad it was there if we needed it. The shower head was mounted too high. Not a big issue but I'm shorter than most people and to adjust the spray I'd have to balance on the side of the tub. Doesn't seem safe to me. Many hotels do this. So this to limited to This Hilton.
This is one of the best run, friendliest locations in all of Reno. N/A
Rooms were clean and the staff were friendly. The location of the hotel is great, just off the freeway and next to a gas station and some restaurants. The room itself was spacious with a large bathroom (I booked a single king bed room and it was like a small 1br apartment inside). I really only needed a place to sleep while I'm in Reno, so I wasn't really expecting much. The only improvement they can make is to get quieter air conditioning units, since there was one right next to the bed and it can get loud at night.
