Cons: Change the carpet. Go with wood floors or new carpet.
Pros: The staff was very friendly and willing to answer questions about the area as I was unfamiliar with the Virginia and Eveleth. They were remodeling the first floor which didn't affect my stay in any way. Everything was clean and orderly.
Pros: Good location for our purposes. The public spaces had an attractive northwoods theme.
Cons: The room was really small, given the price. The sink had unattractive cracks.
Pros: Overall it was an average hotel with a clean room. Nice breakfast area with free breakfast. Staff were very pleasant. Pool is smaller and shallow but younger kids really enjoyed it.
Cons: Ordering a room online it stated it was two double beds but could sleep 5 adults which I paid more for this feature, I am not sure where they considered that 5th person would of slept as there was no couch in the room.
Pros: Great cookies round the clock. Hot soup and chili in the evening.
Cons: Breakfast could be spruced up a bit.
Pros: A clean no frills room
Cons: No elevator and kids running all over pool area and hot tub making both areas unusable for adults to relax.
Pros: Very 'homey' feel. Warn cookies, hot soup
Cons: Lobby is too crowded. Less is more.
Pros: Good location, easy to get in and out. Large, well kept grounds with gardens and yard swings. Very nice. This was the nicest Super 8 I've stayed in.
Cons: Room safe did not work and the front desk couldn't figure out how to reset it.
Pros: the Air condition. blew cool all night long
Cons: The bed smelled like sweat and mold. There was also a brown dry spot on the bed that looked like blood.
Pros: It was simple, clean, and easy. Great breakfast and clean kitchen was appreciated. Quiet and cool. Very nice stay!
Cons: Scrambled eggs for breakfast would have been nice. Please send me a receipt. Thank you!
Pros: The staff was a perfect '10' across the board. Anyone on the Range will tell you this is the best location to stay at if you need to be between Virginia and the Eveleth/Gilbert/Biwabik area. Probably the best local/continental breakfast I've had.
Cons: The toilet tank wouldn't fill; we received a new room. The fill tube was leaking in the second room, which caused a every-so-often water run. That was the worst of it; pure bliss compared to some of our stays at other places (including 5-star)!

Pros: Friendly staff, awesome pool, great free breakfast, comfortable beds and several other amenities like certain TV channels & most of all GREAT hospitality!
Cons: Room cleaning services ran through most of the day & some days my room was not cleaned until 3pm. I think the rooms should all be cleaned by 12pm to allow you use of your room in the afternoon especially with young children who nap in the afternoon.

Pros: Excellent stay! The rooms were great and the staff was very accommodating.
Cons: The bar and kitchen closing at eight on a Saturday night was kind of an inconvenience. Fortunately, one of the staff members kept the bar open a little longer to serve drinks past the normal closing time. Thank you!
Pros: We were upgraded to a room with a jacuzzi. The staff was great. The room was decorated super cute.
Cons: The room was unbearably hot couldn't get the room to cool down. Tvs are outdated.
Lodge at Giants Ridge allows you more time for skiing with ski-in/ski-out access. You can visit the spa to indulge in deep-tissue massages, body wraps, or reflexology, and Timbers Restaurant serves regional cuisine. An indoor pool and a bar/lounge are other highlights, and condos offer conveniences like refrigerators and microwaves.
Pros: The pool was for guests only on at least Sat. Community hours were also listed so you could plan a time to use the pool as a guest. Clean rooms, pool area and good location for visiting the Iron Range. I paid more than I usually do at other Americinns but this had a small bar and the attached Anytime Fitness.
Pros: Clean, comfortable, nice staff
Cons: Back side of hotel is across road from train tracks and during the night hourly freight trains went past blowing warning whistles. I was wondering why there was a packet of ear plugs in room!. I assume rooms on other side of building not facing rail tracks might be better - I would request that side of building if I were to stay there again.
Pros: Nothing exotic, but clean and comfortable with very pleasant staff. I'm glad I stayed.
