6.8 Good
Pros: Christmas celebrations
Cons: Croissants. Location: no view at all
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Being in the middle of the wild. Nice buffet. Wifi.
Cons: Tiny swimming pool. Rooms a bit old fashioned and need better maintenance on bathroom sinks. Tiles could be cleaner. View to the park too limited from the terrasse. Really really too expensive. No tea in the room.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Super location, lots of wildlife within 3km around the lodge, drive the circuit on the edge of the marsh to see animals including lions.
Cons: Aruba needs a map of Tsavo with the signposts marked out. Amboseli has a similar map which I showed to the reception staff to illustrate my point.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place inside the Tsavo East Park. The services offered are of high quality, I highly recommend and would return there anytime when visiting the park.,
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was wonderful
Cons: The wifi
6.3 Good
Pros: The location of the hotel and the rooms is really nice, dinner was fine and we saw some big elefants next to the fence!
Cons: The staf was not too friendly and were really noisy in the morning. They even entered the room several times while my husband was still sleeping and not out on a game drive as he was sick. So he didnot sleep at all and was not happy.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and very helpful staff. This place is unreal. The View and relaxing is out of this world. Watching the wildlife come and go while being in the pool or having a drink or food. We loved our stay there and wished it would have been longer.
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: The eggs were ok.
Cons: 1)The costs of drinks are generally exaggerated. 2)The food variety was limited on day to day. 3)A bacon miss throughout on the breakfast was unforgivable for the children.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What sets this safari apart from all the others we have visited is the waterhole that attracts all kinds of animals. Elephants so close you can almost touch them. One night at the evening meal a herd of about 300 water buffalo appeared out of the darkness to drink... simply breathtaking.
Cons: Better coffee.
4.5 Okay
Cons: I felt that i got ripped off during the check out. They used a strange exchange rate to the local currency.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room that we moved to was lovely, very tranquil and relaxing. Enjoyed volleyball with the best pool attendant ever, shaban, once we got permission to get him into the pool
Cons: The first room we had isn’t suitable due to being unable to put down the mosquito nets without my daughter injuring herself
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The view of the elephants was fantastic, we just sat and watched all day
Cons: The food was not great, not terrible just kind ok ish
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The best thing about this place are the animals. It's amazing how many different animals come to the watering hole, and they stay so long, so you really get to watch them and their behaviour. We saw lots of elephants, impala, waterbuck, warthog, zebras, a couple of giraffes and so many birds, including fish eagle. To be honest, you see more animals staying at the lodge than at an average game drive. Most of the staff are great. Really great, and so friendly! The kitchen do a great job, the waiters, cleaners, guards, gardeners, driver etc. I don't get the complaints about the food, sure, it's a bit repetitive, but it's good basic food. We had hot water and decent water pressure.
Cons: It's just such a pity that the front desk are not that great at communicating with their guests or each other. We had booked a room with a double bed and a single bed, we were put in a room with one bed and told the other bed would come later, which it never did, and it turned out that wasn't even possible, so we had to change rooms. We booked a game drive, and the desk forgot to tell the driver, so we got up early and were ready at 6.15 and it just didn't happen. Luckily we were there for several days, so we could do it the next day. As others before us, we have experienced that the lodge refuses to withdraw USD from your VISA card, even though it says on your booking that they will. They say it can't be done, which is of course a lie, since other hotels in Kenya do so all the time. Then they insist on you paying in shillings with a terrible exchange rate. I complained and demanded to talk to the management, and got the exchange rate down. Combined with the extremely overpriced drinks (food is included, but not soft drinks or water, I get charging for alcohol, but in 34 degrees C soft drinks should be included!) it takes away that last star that they would otherwise have gotten.
7.0 Good
Pros: The elephants! And other wildlife, right at your door step
Cons: Rooms not so impressive
5.5 Okay
Pros: The location is great and you can see lots of animals coming to drink from the water hole. Lovely sunrise. Staff are friendly.
Cons: The property is old and needs maintenance. Rooms and toilet need to be refurbished and would benefit from a good clean. Food is very basic with limited choice in the buffet and questionable quality.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location and animals
Cons: The rooms and lodge building is sparse and not comfortable. The food was good but most of our group did get sick with diarrhea from the food.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent, overlooking Tsavo East national park. The waterhole was the main attraction, and watching the animals walking to/from and at the waterhole was fantastic. Loved the large pool at the lodge. Friendly staff.
Cons: Shower water took a very long time to warm up, resulting in a lot of wasted water, and it didn't always fully warm up.
7.0 Good
Pros: Good wiev to the Tsavo East Park
Cons: Everything were worn out...(tent, restaurant, furnitures, pool, textiles)
6.8 Good
Pros: The staff were very friendly and we saw plenty of elephants & bush buck. The rooms are huge & the pool is more than a splash pool. The food was reasonably good.
Cons: The location was disappointing, close to a major hotel and you could hear music into the night. The hotel has a water hole so it was possible to walk to it and view game when they had left the camp. My idea of a tented camp is more wild than this.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole ambience with the individual pools and the view into Tsavo East with many animals
Cons: There was no aspect to complain about.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Yes they were and bed comfy
Cons: The buffet didn't have most food
10.0 Excellent
Pros: If I could give Manyatta more than 10/10, I would! Firstly, the staff are absolutely amazing; from helping us to secure our train tickets for our journeys before and after our stay to arranging our game drive, the reception staff were exceptional. We also had a lovely, knowledgable driver for our trips that was very helpful and attentive. Manyatta Camp is a sub-resort to Voi Wildlife Lodge and has its own dining area and bar and Simon, the barman was wonderful. The food was nice and they catered for my needs as a vegan. The tents were lovely and spacious and the personal pool was a fantastic luxurious touch, facing straight out onto the Voi savannah. Top tip: make sure that you visit the bar at Voi Wildlife Lodge at lunch time and/or early evening as it’s right next to a watering hole and we saw elephants, hippos, water bucks and cranes almost daily!
Cons: The bed was a bit firm for our liking but this is a minor issue!
7.5 Good
Pros: was ok
Cons: hard to find. not even the Police in voi new the place. there are no signs anywhere!!!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The private swimming pool and the view.
6.3 Good
Pros: Pools were great Restaurant staff very welcoming Good sighting of animals on first day
Cons: Checking in at Voi Lodge was chaotic - expected to check in at Manyatta Tents had seen better days Bathroom facilities did not match the price of the accommodation No coffee or tea making facilites in the room Ordered four cocktails from the list - did not have the ingredients for any of them. Chose a bottle of wine from the list - not in stock Many facilities at Voi Lodge were not in use, eg pool bar, bar at the end of the pier Had to complaint about ice creams - so obviously been allowed to melt and refreeze. Food hygiene! They continued to sell them to others. Dinner was 30 mins late on first night, caused problems for us with a baby. Food was ok but not much variety. It was transported down from Voi Lodge and not hot enough.

6.2 Good
Pros: Good location, no frills, inexpensive . It is fine for a night to or from Mombasa....
Cons: Business office and the local staff do not coordinate reservations. Even though I had a print out indicating that I had breakfast included in my rate, the local attendant said that he was not informed that we were entitled to breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: reasonable price clean, quiet,
Cons: show a map with exact direction we got lost on the way
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff where good especially the lady serving breakfast.
Cons: I think they should be having a restaurant where they need to sell drinks and food which I did not find had to go all the way to town to buy soft drinks. Also location of the place is to inside and they need to put sign board on the road so people can know where the place is situated.

Cons: N/a
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The friendliness of all of the staff was superb. The rooms are spacious and clean and everything worked well where we were - which is not always the case in Kenya. Wifi was fine and, apart from a very brief powercut, which was a novelty, our stay was as enjoyable as it could have been. The Lodge is situated about two kilometres from the entrance to the Tsavo East National Park and about a kilometre from the town centre which, even on non market days, is bustling with real Kenyan life. The property only houses 30 or so people which makes it less crowded and overpowering than some of the bigger establishments in the district, but it boasts a really nice-sized pool which is surrounded by natural tree shading and well positioned and blended with the scenery canopies. The restaurant serves varying types of meals - the buffet is nice and value for money, although one night it was quiet and so we had to order a-la-carte which was fine and very reasonably priced. The manager Tom went to university in England and is an excellent source of information about Voi and Kenyan life in general. The owner can also arrange for excellent guided Safaris for various periods and in a variety of different vehicles. The one we went on with "Robert" was painstakingly conducted with an excellent knowledge of not just the animals but also the geographical lay-out of the Tsavo East park. We were exhausted by the extrent of the day tour which was almost 12 hours long and, all things considering, very reasonably priced. None of the lodges have any control over the park fees which are quite steep for overseas visitors - 52 dollars for adults and 35 dollars for children - but the day was memorable. If and when I return to Voi I would have no hesitation in booking to stay here again, without even bothering to look at other lodges around. Overall value for money and relaxation worth was of the highest order and we left with a smile on our faces. Thank you Tom, staff and Impala Safari...
Cons: The ONLY complaint we could levy was the price of everyday drinking water which, for a litre, was above what I've ever paid in a European Airport...and they are usually high priced!...but if that and the lack of a plug in the sink (and I always carry two of my own) were the only tiny MINOR problems, this place is close to the top of our travel list.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Place was cozy and nice quite, lovely staff and superb service loved it
Cons: Well the place was superb so nothing on the negative
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This is a family business with the most genuinely welcoming staff I experienced in the whole of Kenya. It was a real relief to arrive to a place where they take proper care of you.
Cons: As a tall person some parts of the tent lacked some headroom.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Bed was comfy
6.8 Good
Pros: Nice atmosphere in the restaurant and common area; buffet was pretty good, one evening. Shower good, most of the time.
Cons: Prices for food and drinks not reasonable; 1000 ksh for lunch, and then 1000 ksh again for dinner which consists of lunch leftovers is absurd. As wel as for beer and wine. Tents pretty small for 3 persons.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The reception guy the caterers were excellent
5.5 Okay
Pros: Owner was lovely and helpful Pool was great and kids loved it. Location was good.
Cons: Waitress was unhelpful and lacked understanding. Rooms were way too hot at NIGHT, and although there was a ceiling fan, the top of the mosquito net blocked any air flow. A pedestal fan would have been better.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I booked my stay on the day I moved in. The staff were exceptionally helpful and courteous even when I arrived very late in the evening to check in. The catering was excellent and fairly priced with good portion sizes. I let the lodge know ahead of check-in that I wished to have a Safari game drive for the following two days, which they sorted without issue. I had two excellent drives in the park courtesy of both extremely knowledgable guides for their respective days. Additionally, the lodge squared me away with a packed lunch for each day. Concluding: although my stay was brief, I would happily stay at the lodge again should I visit Voi for another safari. I would happily recommend this lodge to friends, family or colleagues.
Cons: N/A
