Pros: I liked the property being so close to the water.
Cons: I found pill worms in my bed! And dead such bodies in the bathroom, along with a terrible smell. The TV was snowy the picture was difficult to view. When I brought this up to the Manager, he asked if there was any way I brought such bugs with me (!!!!) I asked for another room, and after several moments of not saying anything he ok'd me moving. I really expected some kind of credit for the big infested room, or any kind of effort on the hotel's part to make it right with me, but sadly, nothing ever came. Just something to make the mishap ok, like an apology and credit the big infested room, or a gift cert for me to return. (I do know they cleaned the former room and rented it out to another guest, with no time really to clean all the bugs in that too.!)
Oh well, because of the hotel's lack of concern for my visit, I have no intention of ever returning, and ensuring many folks know about my stay.
Pros: Although hard to find, the location was very nice. The hotel was mostly clean, they did have some public bathrooms which were not the cleanest. They also had quest laundry facilities, but no on location laundry soap or fabric softener even though it was advertised in their laundry room. The view of the Bay from the room was lovely. The staff was very nice and courteous. Staff tried to be very helpful. Michael was on duty a lot while we stayed for 4 days and he was friendly and very helpful. He helped make our stay very pleasant.
Cons: The restaurant wasn't available on the evenings we were at the hotel and because they were situated so far away from everything, it meant going into town a lot just to get a meal. We were gone most of the time during the day and came home late one evening to find that our room had not been made up that day. The situation with no way to do laundry even though there were washers and dryers available. We never stayed where there was a laundry available, but no soap or dryer sheets. The refrigerator was sitting on the luggage rest, so there was nowhere to open your suitcase except on the bed because the rooms were on the small side it was inconvenient. When you took a shower, the water could not be adjusted, it went from freezing cold to scalding hot. Even though it was a non smoking hotel, someone was smoking a cigar and marijuana close to our room.
Pros: The views from the outside seating areas were nice, and the maintenance man was great.
Cons: The front desk attendant was inefficient and inattentive. The room had huge carpet stains and smelled terrible. Our room didn't even have a refrigerator which my mother needed for storing some of her meds. When asked if we could switch rooms, the attendant said we couldn't because the rest of the rooms were occupied or dirty. Judging from the parking lot's emptiness that was extremely hard to believe. Eventually they unplugged a fridge from another room and hauled it down to ours, making our stay possible even if unpleasant.
