Pros: The decor was characterful and impeccable, the bed super comfy, the quirky lamps were a lovely touch, and the shower was great! We were tremendously impressed by the owners' helpfulness, friendliness and lovely positivity! From making sure that I had soya milk available for my coffee, and vegan-friendly options for breakfast, to drying out our umbrellas, calling a cab for us and offering us the use of their umbrellas, nothing was too much trouble. We had a sea view, which was lovely, and we felt so welcome and at home! We highly recommend Dunsandles Guesthouse, and will definitely look to stay there again, next time we are in the area!

Pros: Cool rennovated warehouse with appropriate light industrial finishings. Nice blend of retro with very modern upgrades. Less than two miles to Anfield ( we walked back from match - all downhill).
Cons: Service (front desk, bar, and concierge) did not match otherwise outstanding facility. Distance from downtown perhaps made ready cab or Uber service a little longer than normal. Staff appeared newly hired and perhaps less experiences in how things were supposed to work. Tried hard but had to seek directions from others. Given time on the job, expect service will improve. Would give another try.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: location and staff.
Cons: Fried eggs for breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast = 'standard English', plentiful, hot, very good, and fresh fruit also plentiful and good. The staff are amongst the best and friendliest we have met.
Cons: I stayed there in August, and reported to Trip Adviser then. The ONLY thing that might be improved are the lifts to 2nd floor reception. They need an upgrade.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel in the middle of everything you want. The room was clean and tidy with lovely views and the staff was helpful and friendly.
7.9 Good
Pros: Position was great BUT you should be advised that if your room is above the Beatles experience music will be blaring out from 8am even though it doesn’t open until 10.
Cons: Food was very poor quality. We both left it & paid to eat elsewhere.
5.7 Okay
Cons: Hard to get to; lobby is on the second floor and there are only two SLOW elevators serving the entire hotel
7.0 Good
Pros: Location is fantastic, and I like the way much of the original architecture has been kept within the new hotel.
Cons: Shame the nearest car park is a 10-minute walk away. The choices for the hot breakfast were a bit limited - just bacon, sausage, scrambled egg and beans. Would have expected a choice of fried egg, tomatoes, mushrooms.
6.0 Good
Cons: The noise , late at night. Our room was right over the Beatles Story, they had no air conditioning and we had to leave our windows open to hear the drunks, etc.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was great and your staff are a credit to your company very helpful and friendly team well done .
Cons: A small fridge in the room would be great.

Pros: Centre of Liverpool and close to train station. Great value for money. Good to have fridge and cooking facilities.

Pros: The location was perfect. Our suite was spacious. with a separate living/kitchen area. It would be perfect for 4 people with the pull out sofa. We were only there for 2 nights, but the amenities would have been perfect for a longer stay. We had a washing machine, refrigerator and stove in the suite.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The management bent over backwards to accommodate our early (3:00) a.m. arrival after a ferry trip from the Isle of Man. They got out of bed to let us into our room at that ridiculous time, even though they weren't a 24-hour operation. We can't thank them enough for all they did for us under very unusual circumstances! The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast provided was amazing. Thank you!!!
Cons: Absolutely nothing to dislike!

7.9 Good
Pros: Visited for the fantastic, relaxing spa, but our hotel room was also very nice, newly decorated and very comfortable. The spa and bistro staff were very friendly and welcoming. The outdoor jacuzzis are idyllic and it's lovely to be able to order drinks out to the jacuzzi. The spa has excellent changing facilities, including great showers, hair dryers, large lockers, and shower gel and shampoo, if needed. Breakfast is buffet style and you can help yourself. There's a selection of cooked and continental breakfast. The local sausages, fresh fruit and homemade granola were highlights.
Cons: Adding breakfast for two made a reasonable room rate quite expensive. The breakfast buffet was good, but I had expected more for the price, e.g. perhaps a wider selection of types of eggs, higher quality and better presented continental options like larger, freshly baked pastries and bread (for toast) or some more creative options like eggs benedict or pancakes. (I think there may have been some interesting a la carte options but this wasn't offered to us.) Service was slow for tea, coffee and toast. Bathrobes and slippers seemed to be available with some room rates but not others. These would have been welcome for the spa. It's a little walk along long corridors from the rooms to the spa, but not too far.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice and clean
Cons: Expensive to stay
7.1 Good
Pros: Excellent restaurant very convenient location
Cons: It was quite noisy on Saturday night Sunday morning also security was very poor people could access certain rooms without going through main reception & a number of the side doors were unlocked with card key required to enter
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Facilities. Staff are extremely professional and welcoming.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The spa was amazing, one of the best I've been to, the staff were so nice, polite and helpful. The outside jacuzzis were just an added touch. The thermal area was a fav, from the infra red chairs the the ice cave!! The rooms where lovely, clean, spacious and very comfy night sleep. Breakfast was delicious (not normally a fan of buffet) but everything was really fresh and could have food to order if wanted. Tapas in a hotel what a fantastic idea! We loved this, was really good food. The staff were fantastic and efficient. Loved that the main bar had raspberry vodka, made my night :) Every room was decorated excellent and very in keeping. The conseiquege showing us to our room was so nice, very polite.
Cons: Only criticism would be non usage of the spa from 11am the following day of check out. In all hotels I've ever stayed this has never been an issue before. I think £15 each after paying £210 is abit unfair. Especially as we had a later arrival due to work commitments, so didn't get full advantage of a fab spa.
4.6 Okay
Cons: Very disappointed with the hotel. We assumed we would be staying in Thornton Hall itself, not the cheap extension away from the Hall, staying in a little room on the ground floor walking out on to a car park, when we asked to be moved they said we can move but it’ll be an extra £50. It felt like the hotel were trying to get extra money at every given opportunity. From the £10 an hour late check out option to the charging of little items like ear buds/vanity kits which usually come as standard with other hotels. Even after we very first booked with booking.com I received an email immediately after from Thornton Hall asking me to cancel with booking.com and book directly with them instead (which would’ve been an extra £100!). Very off-putting to say the least, I’ve never stayed in a hotel where they have been penny pinching like this!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel in fantastic grounds with excellent staff.
Cons: Nothing.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: all Staff very good particularly the breakfast girls. Lovely pool. Very nice rooms, better than they looked in the pictures.
Cons: Toilet flush was too hard, would be difficult for elderly or people with arthritis. Car park is so busy and full, walking from rooms to health spa was tricky unless you walked around the inside of the hotel, which was a long way.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The overall experience of Thornton Hall was fabulous. Couldn't fault it at all. Great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a lovely stay. Room was clean and well presented. The spa was wonderful with a snow room and infra red wall. Staff were lovely, especially Julie on the spa reception who helped us out.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was cereal and poached eggs with toast, fruit toast was also available. Cooked breakfasts were extra but to be fair what we had was more than enough Location, well this was our first time in New Brighton but will not be our last, stunning area, with beach, places of interest and bars in easy walking distance. The guest house was in a quiet street, so no noise at all

Pros: Very friendly greeting, no complaints at all, we will definitely come back
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were amazing. Friendly, helpful and courteous.
Cons: Fixed bed against the wall made it difficult for us oldies to get in and out of bed. However, for one night it was bearable. Would have preferred a free standing bad so we could get in on both sides and not climb over one another. Ok if you're younger and more agile.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was central, clean, amazing value for money and the views from the room were stunning.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were first class. David on the desk was really friendly along with all. The free wine and cheese was a real treat.
Cons: The bed was very uncomfortable (hard)
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel had everything we needed for our 3 day stay and was in a GREAT location for us to explore, see the soccer stadium and eat at great restaurants.
Cons: We liked the hotel for the rating it was and it was great but the room did have a scent of stale cigarettes, even though it was a non-smoking room. Nevertheless, the room was large, clean and the shower was hot - so it was all good!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The Z hotel offers an inexpensive and efficient place to stay for a couple of days while on business. The rooms are clean and well kept. The staff is excellent, always greeting you with a smile. The internet and the reception facilities are very good too.
Cons: The rooms tend to be rather small but their price is perfect; so overall it is a good compromise.
