Family friendly warm inviting
Food was mediocre
The view was gorgeous. There was a lot to do entertainment wise. We just didn’t take advantages of it because we checked in a bit later and only stayed one night.
The room was on a slant, so it gave you a queasy feeling laying in bed. Also, the reviews for the dinning options were all sub par so we left the hotel to eat somewhere else.
The hotel and setting were beautiful. The food was very good. There were a variety of activities we enjoyed including the adult axe throwing and the morning yoga. We had a good time relaxing in the lounge by the fire and playing games in the game parlor.
The heat/ ac systems were off significantly. Two out of three rooms rented didn't have heat upon arrival. Our room started cold and then was so warm we had to keep the windows open all weekend. One of our parties got charged for a bottle of wine which was supposedly sent up complimentary because they had to switch rooms because of the broken heat. There were a couple other billing errors as well. It was a nice stay, but a bunch of little things that detracted from our enjoyment.
The room was very clean and the staff was courteous. The views are breathtaking.
There was a long black hair in my husband’s salad at lunch one afternoon. The following evening, another black hair in my stuffed peppers at dinner. YUCK! A resort of this purported caliber has absolutely no excuse for that happening.
